Why are media producers so obsessed with virtue signaling? They're making a statement about an episode that aired almost 30 years ago about a case that happened about 15 years ago regarding a man that died 10 years ago. If they wanted to take a stand, they should have done it when the case was relevant. or if it was ever supported Erasing the episode is pointless considering millions of people own it on DVD, and they're now just going to encourage people who haven't seen it to pirate it.
The episode isn't offensive even if you believe he was a kiddy diddler. They're offended about Michael Jackson just being present in it at all. Hell, Warner Bros. still sells the WW2-era episodes of the Looney Tunes with Hitler and racial stereotypes. (Sure, you get a nigress telling you how bad the episodes are, but at least they weren't censored.)

You're overestimating this. The season 3 DVD has been available for over 15 years. Most people who would want it probably already have it. DVD sales have also dropped significantly over the years in favor of streaming, and Blu-ray to a lesser extent. You can sell an original season 3 with the MJ episode for slightly more due to it being out of print, but it's not going to be rare anytime soon.
