Fulton County's Trump Grand Jury Probe Was a Waste of Time and Money

On Thursday, a Judge in Fulton County, Ga., released portions of a grand jury’s report on its investigation into Donald Trump’s alleged attempts to interfere with the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

“The Grand Jury was impaneled to investigate a specific issue: the facts and circumstances relating directly or indirectly to possible attempts to disrupt the lawful administration of the 2020 presidential elections in the State of Georgia,” reads the report.

District Attorney Fani Willis convened the grand jury, which met for eight months and interviewed 75 witnesses, including Gov. Brian Kemp, (R-Ga.), Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), and Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani. The grand jury didn’t even bother to call Donald Trump himself as a witness.

It’s unclear whether Willis thought she had the goods on Trump and could bring him down or whether she called for a grand jury to bring attention to herself and even position herself for higher office.

It all smacks of the narrative of “the walls are closing in on Trump” that we’ve heard for years. The trouble is that the grand jury’s findings were a bit of a nothing-burger.

The grand jury had a tall order on its hands, and Willis tasked it with looking for evidence to charge a litany of crimes, including criminal solicitation to commit election fraud, making false statements to state and local governmental bodies, conspiracy, racketeering, violation of oath of office, and involvement in violence or threats related to election administration.

Idaho lawmakers introduce legislation to criminalize those who administer COVID vaccines

IDAHO, USA — Two Idaho lawmakers have introduced a bill to charge those who administer mRNA vaccines with a misdemeanor.

Sen. Tammy Nichols, R-Middleton, and Rep. Judy Boyle, R-Midvale, sponsored HB 154. It was introduced in the House Health & Welfare Committee on Feb. 15 by Nichols. According to the bill text, "A person may not provide or administer a vaccine developed using messenger ribonucleic acid technology for use in an individual or any other mammal in this state."

That person would then be charged with a misdemeanor.

Nichols said during her presentation to the committee, "We have issues this was fast tracked."

Nichols said there is no liability, informed consent or data on mRNA vaccines. She later clarified she was referring to the two COVID-19 vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna.

"I think there is a lot of information that comes out with concerns to blood clots and heart issues," Nichols said.

Rep. Ilana Rubel, D-Boise, questioned Nichols' statement that the vaccines were fast-tracked. She said her understanding was that the vaccines were approved and survived the testing, later approved by the FDAPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

The Justice Department has informed lawyers for at least one witness that it will not bring charges against Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz after a years-long federal sex-trafficking investigation, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Senior officials reached out to lawyers for at least one witness on Wednesday, the source tells CNN, to inform them of the decision not to prosecute Gaetz.

The final decision was made by Department of Justice leadership after investigators recommended against charges last year.

A complaint on behalf of UsForThem, a parent-led campaign group calling for children’s needs to be prioritised during the Covid pandemic response, was received about an article and video posted on the BBC news website.

The item at issue, entitled ‘Pfizer boss: Annual Covid jabs for years to come’ consisted of an interview conducted by a BBC medical editor with Pfizer’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and appeared in the ‘Health’ section of the BBC website on 2 December 2021.

COMPLAINT

The complainant stated that the tone, content and means of dissemination of this article and the associated video were extremely promotional in nature. The complainant strongly believed that it was not appropriate for Pfizer to promote its product in this way. The complainant referred to three earlier cases against Pfizer for promoting its Covid-19 vaccine illegitimately online (Cases AUTH/3422/11/20, AUTH/3438/12/20 and AUTH/3437/12/20). In these cases the Panel decided that Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine regulatory status was that of a temporary approval for emergency use only and stated that the vaccine was not a licensed medicine, and that Pfizer was guilty of promoting an unlicensed medicine in breach of the Code. The complainant was not aware that the UK regulatory status of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine had changed since these cases and therefore alleged Pfizer was, with Post too long. Canadian Court: Govt Justified in Denying Unemployment Benefits to Unvaccinated Man

A Canadian court has ruled that it was justified for the federal government to deny a fired hospital worker unemployment benefits because he refused to take the coronavirus vaccine.

A Federal Court judge has ruled that the Canadian government was correct to deny Anthony Cecchetto employment insurance benefits after he lost his job at a Toronto-area group of hospitals in 2021 because he refused to take the coronavirus vaccine or an antigen test.

Employment Insurance (EI) had been denied initially to Cecchetto because the agency determined that he had been fired for misconduct, a judgement that the federal judge agreed with, the National Post newspaper reports.

“It is likely that (he) will find this result frustrating because my reasons do not deal with the fundamental legal, ethical, and factual questions he is raising,” Federal Court Justice William Pentney said.

“That is because many of these questions are simply beyond the scope of this case.”

The case comes after Cecchetto appealed the initial EI decision to the Social Services Tribunal and then to the tribunal’s appeals division, which refused to hear him.

Cecchetto made it clear that he believed his right to bodily integrity had been violated but the judge stated those arguments were not relevant to the case as it only relied upon whether or not Cecchetto had been fired for misconduct.

Cecchetto’s case is just one of many cases that have challenged employers and the government over coronavirus vaccine mandates in the workplace.

Santos should switch parties

From drag queen allegations to resume enhancements to this or that, Representative George Santos has a little explaining to do. According to news reports, the list keeps growing:

Newly elected Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., is facing a host of questions: He's accused of faking his résumé and the circumstances of his mother's death along with having questionable campaign finances reporting and allegations of pilfering from a fundraising campaign for a dying dog, among other things.

He has acknowledged embellishing his educational background and job history, but has denied most of the other allegations, even as he was sworn in for his new House post this month.

The allegations have sparked multiple demands for his resignation, as well as at least two investigations and calls for additional probes. Santos, 34, has repeatedly said he will not resign.

Santos should switch parties and no one will ask him to resign. Let me explain:

1) It won't impact the House majority. The GOP has the numbers and the Dems need a legislator to go "drag queen" for the teachers' union;

2) He can join the king of all résumé enhancers, President Biden. They call him "the fabulist in chief" and there is a video to prove it;

3) He can ask Senator Elizabeth Warren what it's like to lie about your past; and,

4) there is always Senator Richard Blumenthal who can explain how to stop media questions about the Vietnam War he dPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

The formal inclusion of the Wagner PMC by the US government on its list of transnational criminal organizations took place just a few days after the organization experienced success on the battlefield in Soledar. This is aside from the fact that Washington has been lobbing various accusations at Wagner for several years. RT asked the private military company’s founder Yevgeny Prigozhin what he thinks explains these latest moves from the US. Here is his reply:

Good is always fighting evil in this world. The Wagner PMC is a force. It’s part of Russian power. And this power is always on the side of good.

Of course if we philosophize, then for some the Wagner PMC is good, and for others it’s evil. But it is evil for our enemies. America and Russia are sworn enemies, and this is an established fact, whatever your views.

The Americans want to break Russia up into small pieces, and then take on China and its other rivals, in order to remain the largest and most powerful country on earth. This is all part of the debate over whether we will have a multipolar or a unipolar world. And so far the US has been doing a very good job of that. Take the USSR as an example.
