Episode 48 was just as great. That singing made it the best precure finale among other things, and I understand now why they chose that specific VA for Hikaru.
On the other hand, it seems like HGs Latte won't be able to talk, which is pretty disappointing, I was hoping for another series that focuses on a mascot a lot, since Fuwa hardly had any scenes, but it seems like this will be another Dokidoki on that regard.

Singing always makes everything trillions of times better. I'd be inclined to agree if it weren't just a backing track and were better incorporated into the plot, like the movies theme was. There's no WAY it's the best finale though. The action wasn't particularly impressive, the conflict and subsequent resolution with Snake-chan was super clumsily done, and it didn't suitably tie into the overall theme of the show. Nothings gonna top GoPris perfect finale for a while yet.
I cried when I saw adult Hikaru had the same salmon pink dye in her hair as young Lala. I'm gonna miss that dork and her girlfriend so much.

Maybe it'll be a growing baby type mascot? I'm sure it'll speak eventually. I'd prefer a quiet background mascot this time though. Both StarPre and Hugtto dropped the ball on the Cures characterization and focus (specific ones, at least) so I'm hoping the smaller cast and a quiet mascot will allow ample time to develop everyone equally in HG.

I only just watched it because yesterday became unhappy and I didn't want to ruin the experience but it's certified anikino. Everything about it is actually so good. My only COMPLAINT is that Nodoka and Daruizen had no interaction at all!
The ED dance is perfection. Everything is so high energy, the song is great, and I cried when they touch cheeks near the end of the dance it's too cute I can die now

It strikes me that every Cure is an onee-san type variation. Grace is a warm, caring, and gentle onee, Fontaine is a serious, no-nonsense but still caring onee, and Hinata seems like she'll be the carefree and fun onee. This is very pleasing.
I just wish the villain cast had a shouta for the inevitable implied romance.
