I dunno if it's just me being autistic, but I can't really hear much difference between Nip voices or English voices, so I don't really give a shit about the vocal part of Sub vs Dub (I actually prefer Dubs in shows that are based outside of Japan settings – stuff like Hellsing or Baccano). If you want to complain about anything, it's their scriptwriters being (((liberal))) with their changes to the text.

I was never much for dubs, anyway, and what you're mentioning is a massive part of why. English VAs have zero fucking vocal range to the point that they all sound the same. All the women do either the same nasal, valley girl voice or a high pitch that's clearly straining their vocal chords to the breaking point in an attempt to sound cute like the original Japanese VA. The men all seem to have collaborated to do either angry teen or grizzled veteran for their voices.
In comparison, I've been completely surprised by some of the completely different voices certain Japanese VAs have done. MAO is a great example of this. Pics related are a few of her more notable roles. Having heard her as Ryouna, I would never have assumed she could do the deeper, sultry voices she does in some of these other characters.

This jellybean story is what these retards with #KickVic rallied behind. Fucking amazing. Their motion to dismiss starts with a picture of Vic hugging an alleged teenager in 2014(with no proof of the assertion that she is a teenager), with a quote of him saying that he doesn't hug kids (anymore since this whole thing kicked off, but that part of the quote is mysteriously missing)

For Monica and Ron's case? Ty has very damning evidence from Ron's emails to KamehaCon that sees them both being saddled with tortious interference of contract and maybe civil conspiracy. "Don't tell Monica that I've already been in talks with you about not having Vic as a guest", how is Lemoine and Doucette supposed to spin that? For defamation, it's going to come down to how the TCPA goes but in looks like it's going to be in favor of Vic. I might have gotten some parts wrong so take it all with a grain of salt. Summed up: things are going well for Vic.
If you do sit through Ron's deposition he comes off a weaselly little sneak with him giving non-answers, avoiding questioning, saying that he doesn't know or remember anything. Ty's questioning was trying to entrap Ron by asking if a company/enough people told a lie about him, would he believe it even though he knew it was false and if he did not believe that than why he would hold a double standard against Vic? Ron's twitter feed contradicts this with one tweet telling someone off and saying he'd rather be a cuckold to Monica than not be with Monica at all. Ty gets fed up at the non-answers, at one point when Ty asked Ron to answer in a yes or no fashion, Ron answered with an 'or'. Another notable thing is that Ron seems to have deleted some of his tweets which courts do not look favorably upon.
Monica's deposition didn't go well either. BHBH strategically set up Carey, who very unfortunately was sexually assaulted herself, with the purpose of trying to bridge common ground and disarm Monica. Monica's deposition had inconsistencies with it her written testimony. One part is the alleged incident where Monica was assaulted, her written testimony was that she was assaulted after a get-together dinner by the staff of Izumicon. In her deposition, she says she was lured there by Vic wanting to show off something about FMA on his phone and then assaulted her only for Stan Dhalin to interrupt that for the 2007 Izumicon dinner and after dinner happened she claims she went back to Vic's room despite being assaulted. Vic questioned that part when Vic's deposition happened. If she was assualted only hours earlier by a man that has an alleged decade of being a predator then why would she go back to face her assailant alone?
Stan Dhalin released an affidavit puts another hole in Monica's story by saying that if Monica had been flustered, uncomfortable, anxious or on edge he would have noticed and confronted her about it and had no recollection of Monica keeping her face covered going to the get together dinner. If one of your invited guests is looking disturbed and shaken you'd have to be concerned and confront said guest.
For Vic's testimony, Lemoine kept trying to entrap Vic by trying to get him to admit he had mental issues/had a voracious sexual appetite/is a sex pest/etc and Vic typically did not bite that bait except for one part that didn't damn his entire case but it did put him in a kind of rough spot for a moment. Vic came off as a charming and genuinely nice dude, obnoxiously so sometimes. At one point he was asked why the first round of lawsuits was Funimation/MoRon/Marchi and he inadvertently counters this by pointing that his reasoning was on the first page of the legal documents and clarifying why and making whoever asked him look like an oaf.
More recent events are the defendants lawyers trying to push the most mind-numbing 500 page word salad through the door but BHBH has filed a motion to sort through that mess. The defending lawyers had a good 60 days to put together a neatly well thought out hearing and it's almost 5 or 6 days due. Part of the TCPA being pushed through the door by Lemoine is Jamie Marchi's TCPA despite how she has not been deposed yet. There are also some clout chasing nobodies trying to openly collaborating on Twitter and putting together fake affidavits to try and paint Vic as having a history of being a sex pest. Notable one include some guy who was arrested for filing false allegations.

It is unfortunate the first judge blew off the whole thing as an internet spat rather than looking at what was presented and considering the real world damage done. Instead the judge seemed more interested in moving on and telling the children to be nice to each other on the internet.

Appeals send it back to the first judge with instructions to do it properly. It would be extraordinary, though apparently possible, for the appeal to assign the case to a new judge.
Luckily defamation suits are jury trials in Texas. Once Vic gets past TCPA because his opponents are so revolting in both appearance and personality. Plus MoRon have made tons of lies that require the impossible (go to cry on the balcony of hotel room in a hotel that doesn't have balconies), which I doubt juries are fond of.
