Does anyone here read LNs?
I've been reading 'Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?
To be honest, I prefer if the other girls are aras too.

Maybe someone should tell him that he needs to tell his publisher to stop being faggots and let the official version be multiple volumes behind.

Looking through twitter it appears to be what he's saying. Basically some guy tweeted at him saying that his latest chapter was uploaded on a foreign site and what he was going to do about it.
That tweet in the screenshot is him saying it's making him not want to keep writing overlord and whether he should return to being a salary man. Then saying regardless he's going to concentrate on at least getting out the next episode.
So yea he's a complete bitch.

I got No Game No Life but haven't started it yet. I'm kinda worried I won't come back if I delve too deeply into weebdom. I started watching Attack on Titan two years ago and now I'm looking into seasonal anime. Help.

I don't really like light novels, because in truth, they have shitty writing/plots and are the Japanese equivalent to YA novels (Though much better in terms of quality). They are mostly made for horny teens to read during the train ride to school. However, it would be nice to read a really good one that will not disappoint, and is on par with novels. And I would like to read a horror one too. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Entry level shit such as modern day seasonal anime and LN's is not true weebdom or otakuism. That's just general /a/ and /r/anime garbage for normalfags. If you want to start on the entry level deep end, start browsing obscure imageboards, frequent /jp/, learn nipnongo, and watch/read/play otakushit from before 2010.

What're you looking for buddy? Anime? Games? I'd start with entry level things first like Lucky Star and Nanoha. Di gi Charat is nice too. Those are classics. If you want any thing with a non "moe" aspect, look at some old action shows from the 80s-90s like slayer, gunsmith cats, dirty pair, dream hunter rem, etc. etc. Those are pretty gud too.
I'd also highly reccomend playing some visual novels too along with some other games. Rance series is a classic. It's favorited by a lot of fans and even people who do not like eroges play the series.
Finally, I reccomend learning nip. With the way things are going now, especially with western translations offices not putting proper translations into things and with countries banning things, you need to learn Japanese if you are going to frequently consume Japanese media. Even if the series you like is mainstream worldwide, you should still learn Japanese if you are a big fan of it. Why? I'll give you an example. There are many niche Dragon Ball and Mario books (not doujins, but there are tons of those untranslated too) and even games that have not had an official release outside of Japan. Trust me, when I used to frequent smaller forums years ago, there were tons of things that western fans weren't brought to the light of day about.

So I'm at volume 4 of No Game No life, right after the anime ended. First LN I've ever read. I've come to understand why they call them light novels. No time wasted on descriptions. Actually it almost feels rushed, though I appreciate the pacing: it doesn't get boring and doesn't waste your time. Lots of weird language artifacts though, a few times it's difficult understand. I like.

I started reading
I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!
a few days ago. I recommend it. Its a story about a guy that went through a life of despair and gets reincarnated in a sci-fi world. And his aim is to become an evil lord in this life. Its a pretty fun read so far and it has alot of misunderstandings in it. Its kind of similar to the novel called "To Be a Power in the Shadows!".
The author of this novel also wrote "Sevens" and "The World of Otome Games is Tough For Mobs".

I download stuff from private trackers to avoid going to snowflake blogs when it comes to LNs, at least when I can. Normally translators for LNs make blogs to aggregate their material and shill the blog in places they visit.
It backfires not uncommonly because at least the uploaders and vocal users of private trackers are nu-cuckchan/reddit/whatever cancer and they also post here I guarantee you, and given how often cuck/a/ or even this place translates material, they have no idea how to get it, and it doesn't make it to public trackers either.

It's shit but I also can't stop reading. Gods, I hate this.
Characterization is crap, the characters fluctuate wildly from volume to volume, but the story itself is OK-ish, with a theoretically great concept. It also stretches reveals of secrets out way too long so the only way it could feel worth it is with a retardedly gigantic amount of payoff, which doesn't happen.

I recently read 4 volumes of Zeroth Maria, which was one of the most highly recommended light novels at the time.
The first volume was admittedly pretty k, but the next 3 were trash. I just can't stand the typical Japanese MC personality of being ultra-cucked. Literally imagine spending 100 pages of reading about a main character deliberating to themselves whether they should or shouldn't kill somebody, only to have that person die anyway? "b-but... killing is w..wrong... I think...?" 100 pages of that, fucking gay.
After experiencing that I kind of gave up on Japanese light novels altogether (just moving on to reading regular books), since supposedly Zeroth Maria was one of the top recommended Japanese LNs. But I'll be scanning this thread to see if there's anything possibly worth reading. Not really into isekai though, I'd rather pick up one of those chinese martial arts LNs if I had to delve into other worlds/isekai.

Oh also: I'd recommend volume 1 of Zeroth Maria.
It's a pretty nice self-contained story. Unless you don't mind cucked Japanese MC personalities, you should probably stop right there.

> I've come to understand why they call them light novels. No time wasted on descriptions.
This is what I like most about LNs. Feels like many "regular novels" these days are written by some condescending author. LNs don't need to go into full detail to explain things because they leverage off of the reader's common sense to understand what "talking on a cell phone" would look like, without going into 3 paragraphs explaining it. Novels these days would then try to spell out some kind of symbolism/forshadowing from the way somebody talks on a cell phone - some condescending dumb shit.

Having to read through babby's first teen romance is the most boring shit ever I was so glad that bitch died just because it meant I wouldn't have to hear about it again but NOPE Literally any of the other characters getting more screen time as result would benefit it greatly. That time during secondary school where I was actually forced to read fiction literature was so boring; fiction literature is incredibly boring.
The weird thing was that for Dutch it had to be fiction, but for English, German, and French I could read any text, so I just read the King James Bible and Hume.
