Luke Gromen explains that the most likely course of action by the US Treasury/FEd will be to let the US government bond situation get highly stressed (dropping bond values/increasing yields) until the institutions cry uncle, and then whip out Judy Shelton's gold backed bond scheme AND REVALUING gold to $22k/oz and using the $6 trillion to buy up a bunch of the now devalued (high interest = low market value) bonds at a discount.
> Bondholders get rugpulled
> Dollar gets devalued
> A bunch of debt gets written off at a discount via an accounting trick
> Dollar holders worldwide cry
> Gold and silver stackers win.

Alesdair Macleod says something similar to Luke Gromen, namely, foreign holders will sell US assets like equities and bonds, including treasuries to raise dollars to cover $USD denominated debt and energy costs.
He points out that the endgame is always inflation. Gromen elucidates the specific mechanism: The US Treasury market at any cost, must NOT allowed to break, as default is not an option when US dollars comprise the world reserve currency, and US Treasuries comprise the main world reserve asset held by banks, pension funds and insurance companies, as well as central banks.
Gromen gives specific indicators, namely, when the USA has interest and interest like obligations (entitlements & veteran's pensions & bnefits) that exceed 100% of government revenues, and bond rates rise which is where we are right now.
All roads lead to fiat inflation.

I'll probably have to upgrade my OS first. I'm two releases behind (so all packages are old). This will take some time, since I have it installed on a class 2 microSD. On the plus side, the spot price will probably just keep dumping so I'm not in a big hurry.

I'm going to wait a little while for the exploit fests to simmer down. I read an interesting article speculating that many of these long undiscovered exploits were deliberately seeded into the open source community by various agencies for their own use, and now AI is exposing some of them.
Obviously the real meat today is now in hardware backdoors like the Intel management engine, so for people who can get away with older hardware, they only have to worry about software exploits.

It's OpenBSD on an ARM dev board, so there's not much to worry about. I started to delete all old packages, and just that is taking a long time. Class 2 SD is very sloooow. The funny thing is they're all dependencies of a chromium browser package. The only other package I manually installed on here is Lynx browser.

I. Am. Not. Surprised.
I had a touchscreen failure on my work laptop yesterday and it crippled my mouse, making it impossible to work onsite.
I remember the days when one could navigate a browser using just a keyboard. Those days are gone. I was lucky that in the operating systems I use, I could maually kill the useless touchscreen drivers, saving the old laptop. The shitty BIOS didn't allow for disabling the touchscreen.

I don't care if it goes down because I know the long term trend is much higher. We've been stacking for over two decades. Waiting a couple more years is a breeze. Apparently small gold (fractional) is getting harder to find in Canada due to recent demand from retail buyers.
Most Canadians don't have a spare $6k leafbucks to buy an ounce.

"Students List" sounds like an astro turfed movement funded by the successor to USAID. (US aids)
This becomes much easier when more easily manipulated females are allowed to vote. In America today there is a nearly complete bifurcation of polticial values between males and females. I know that a lot of E. Europeans have a lot of EU envy because there are a lot of short term comfort/convenience advantages to being part of the EU, while the more toxic aspects (like refugees and migrants) of the European Union take time to fully manifest and are less immediately visible to the average citizen.
How long does it take to turn Poland from a place where women could walk safely at night, to where many districts become free rape zones for women and young girls? 10 years. How long does it take for Lidl and Aldi and nice paying EU jobs to arrive? Less than a year.
Females effectively seem to have an almost universal subconcious programming to follow the herd, and all the current high status female leaders are hand picked by globohomo, refugee welcome types.
Many countries around the world are heading towards civil war, and when it's over, I believe universal suffrage will end as well. In any european civil war it will be the white males who prove decisive.

>I cannot wrap my head around the endgame here. If you destroy the planet, crash the global economy, and leave ordinary people too broke to buy anything, what exactly are billionaires planning to do with all that money? Sit in underground bunkers staring at bank balances while the world falls apart? Wealth is only valuable when there's a functioning society around it. So what exactly are they trying to win?
https://x.com/omgsidewalks/status/2114376292359377051
The answer is simple: Irrevocable power. The elites have a very good life, insulated from all consequences other than death, but that good life is in jeopardy when a critical mass of white europeans realize the true nature of the current system. The solution is to drastically reduce the amount of white european stock. Blacks and browns are easy to control and manipulate, and east asians don't value personal freedom, and are very comfortable with conformity.
This plan was described over 30 years ago by John Coleman, in his book on the Committee of 300.
He also writes that they intend to outlaw precious metals and old silver coinage, along with private ownership of firearms.
In order to get from now, to the future where there are only 1 billion mostly east asian survivors with very few non-elite whites, biological warfare is the only practical viable method, aside from a cataclysmic pole flip.
Having remote, self sustaining isolated bunker communities is a necessary survival requirement under such conditions.
Allowing white people to wake up and realize who has power and how they are using it risks a revolt that would depose the elites, and hold them criminally responsible for their crimes against children and humanity.
During it's prime, before it became almost completely subverted, 4chan was a very valuable resource for "conspiracy theories" that subsequently turned out to be true.

Selling pro-zionism to the masses (outside of US/Western Euro boomers) is a non-starter. It's much easier to just subvert (and/or select) the politican directly like they did in Albania. Reportedly, Israelis are helping the Albanian government to crack down on protestors.

Flavio Bolsonaro did kiss the wall and that likely didn't help him with the Brazilian voters. I don't know what happened to "flip" the election to Lula.
Lula would be the typical recipient of USAIDs, not the free market, smaller government, pro gun ownership candidate and I fear the Brazillian people will eventually discover the hard way that it's infinitely easier to vote oneself into a dictatorship, than to vote oneself out of one.
Americans at least are well armed and psychologically prepared for a civil war if the demoncrats decide to:

2. grant amnesty and citizenship to all illegals
3. stack the supreme court to make it all "legal" and declare it "constitutional"

Not only is Canada corrupt, our politicians and regulators are evil and/or stupid.
>Same story, new owner. When push comes to shove, a foreign company's loyalty is to its own plants back home. Of course it is. That's what foreign ownership means, and the only people who ever seem surprised by it are our politicians.
>And it doesn't stop with buying our companies. Sometimes foreign capital doesn't even bother with ownership. It just pays someone to stand in the way. Most of our oil goes to a single customer, the United States, at a discount, because every attempt to build our way to other markets gets buried in protests, lawsuits and delays. Vivian Krause has spent years following the money behind those campaigns, and much of it leads back to American foundations. Alberta's public inquiry found more than a billion dollars in foreign money flowing to Canadian environmental groups.
>So American money pays Canadian activists to keep Canadian oil landlocked, and American refiners get to buy it cheap. Nice arrangement, if you're American.

I finished my OpenBSD upgrade, after 2 entire days. But oh, what do we have here?
https://ubuntu.com/security/CVE-2026-98432
Now I wonder if I should install OpenBSD on my other computer too (that currently runs a very customized Ubuntu). Or do I just install old 14.04 LTS trusty on it? xD
Also those old versions before Ubuntu 18 had the option to use their Upstart init instead of systemd (although I just went with the much smaller BusyBox instead, but my setup is an ugly hack where I completely bypassed the package manager).
The only bad thing about OpenBSD is there's no graphics at all unless you run X, and I just don't like GUI window systems. Linux has the simple framebuffer graphics on /dev/fb0 (on older kernels) and /dev/drm0 on newer ones.

Looks like Oct 30 may be the day of the big market crash. As I have repeatedly told by better half, when the market goes down generally, gold and silver (and their miners) will also go down because when people get margin calls, they sell what they can, not what they want.
We'll probably be going back to the silver store this weekend for another bite.
If Trump launches his expected major attack on Iranian infrastructure, expect energy prices to stay high for a couple more years, which creates commodity inflation for everyone.

>Fantastic stack.
Not my stack. Our silver is a mishmash of random mints and sizes. 99% was bought by asking the LCS for the least expensive per ounce silver they had, given the amount of fiat we had to spend at that given time.
Sometimes the cheapest "generic" rounds turned out to be somewhat collectable, like the TD Canada 150 anniversary. Someone probably dropped off grandpa's coin collection and they sold it cheap to us.

I was browsing the dealer site after 11pm (local time when spot price is frozen for the weekend) and making a note of possible buys. Then just 3 hours later, the server pops up a maintenance message and when it comes back online, all the 1 oz coins are like 1.05 EUR higher. But spot price hasn't changed for 3 hours… So this is some weird thing they have setup to defeat slowpokes like me? That was enough to bump the price of a tube of Noah's Arks over 1000 EUR, yeah 20.80 EUR more but also another 5 EUR for shipping for being over 1000 EUR. So I better just wait for prices to dump moar.

>was that your kilo over there?
We only have 4 kilo bars,
1. PAMP
2. Heraeus (feinsilber version)
3. Perth Mint (older style)
4. TD machined (Scottsdale 1kg stacker)
When we started stacking years ago, kilos weren't really a thing, at least at the shops we visited. Mostly 10oz bars (most are minted, a few cast) and various 1oz rounds and coins. I think we have exactly one 5 oz bar. We don't have anything cool like a 5kg Noah's Ark or a 10kg Maple.
We didn't really start buying kilos until the 2020s. Even recently, when we were in the market for a kilo bar the LCS ended up selling us 3 tens and some single rounds because they didn't have kilos in stock.

Is this from one merchant? I imagine they've been burnt before because the price often jumps on Sunday night (Asia hours) before it gets slammed on NY hours.
I believe there is a high probability that silver will continue to go down if the market continues to drop on Monday.

We are at end stage welfare state. Importing third world immigrants was supposed to help the economy. It only accelerated its demise.
🇪🇺 NEW TAXES AND FEES IN EUROPE IN 2026
The EU doesn’t want to raise taxes directly, so they sprinkle the system with small fees which amount to the same. It’s idiotic and the people do nothing.
Look at this …
EU-wide:
- CBAM (carbon border tax) on steel, aluminium, cement, fertiliser, hydrogen and electricity imports, from Jan 1
- €3 customs duty per item type on parcels under €150, from Jul 1
- €2 handling fee per item type on non-EU online orders, from Nov 1
- ETS (EU carbon trading): airlines lose all free allowances, shipping now also covered for methane and nitrous oxide
By country:
- 🇦🇹 Austria: €2 tax per parcel for sellers with over €100m in Austrian sales, from Oct 1
- 🇧🇪 Belgium: 10% capital gains tax on financial assets, first €10,000 a year tax-free, from Jan 1
- 🇫🇷 France: €2 small-parcel tax (Mar 1 to Jul 1) and a 20% tax on non-business assets of family holding companies
- 🇩🇪 Germany: Freiburg packaging tax, €0.50 per disposable cup or dish, from Jan 1
- 🇳🇱 Netherlands: per-km truck toll, €0.025 to €0.487 per km, from Jul 1
- 🇵🇱 Poland: 1% copyright levy on smartphones, computers and memory cards, from Nov 13
- 🇷🇴 Romania: 25 lei (about €5) per non-EU parcel, from Jan 1 to Oct 31
- 🇪🇸 Spain: Barcelona's tourist tax doubled, up to €12 per person per night, from Apr 1
- 🇬🇧 UK: Edinburgh visitor levy (5% of room price), vape duty (£2.20 per 10 ml), travel permit up from £16 to £20

Yeah it's finally accelerating. After France and Italy we now have a protest by gen something planned in the Hague. Not only football hooligans but also normal dad's are going out to stop these "youth". I love it sorry. I hope it gets so much worse so it can then get better. We have 50 million muslims in Europe. And some traitors. Population 500 million.
Kristallnacht 2.0 soon hopefully:P

It's all the same dealer that I got these coins from >>14257
One other time (long ago) I noticed the prices change during the weekend, because I made a list of their prices on Friday right after the market closed. Then on Saturday I went to buy coins, and the prices had increased. I don't remember if I bought the coins anyway or bailed. Sometimes I have very little cash in the bank, so I tend to make lists of interesting coins with prices, and then calculate the total. It takes a long time, because I have to browse the entire site, write down the infos, etc. So it's a bummer if they change it all of a sudden when the market is closed.
But this is the first time I've seen the server give that "going down for maintenance" message, and that's when the prices changed. So now I know there's only a 3 hour window after markets close on the weekends before the cheapies start slipping away.

There is a good reason to expect silver price to explode.
>When you ask yourself how silver could fall below $50 in this environment, you need to understand the bankers' incentives.
>The lower the price of silver, the cheaper it becomes to cash-settle outstanding contracts.
>There are 580 million ounces of open interest, backed by only 100 million ounces of physical silver.
>For every $1 they can drive silver lower, the aggregate cash-settlement value of that open interest declines by $580 million.
>If the bankers dumped, say, 50 million ounces of paper silver onto the market at once and triggered a $15 decline, the aggregate cash-settlement value of the 580 million ounces of open interest would fall by $8.7 billion.
>In a twisted way, this creates a perverse incentive for naked paper shorts to drive silver prices lower if the ultimate plan is to declare force majeure and cash-settle contracts rather than deliver physical metal.
>Following a force majeure declaration, physical silver would be violently repriced.
>The 580 million ounces of paper contracts could be cash-settled at $45 an ounce, representing $26.1 billion in aggregate settlement value, while the 100 million ounces of physical silver remaining in the vaults could be repriced to $500 an ounce, giving that inventory a new value of $50 billion.
>In this hypothetical scenario, the COMEX resolves its paper-market exposure, establishes itself as a Tier 1 global silver exchange, and sees the value of its physical silver inventory increase dramatically.
