Do any of you believe in the Earth is flat? If so, what evidence do you have outside of Scripture? If not, how do you reconcile verses like:

>Isaiah 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

>1 Chronicles 16:30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

>Genesis 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

>Job 37:18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

The Earth is a procedurally generated Minecraft map with ray tracing. My dad told me so.

Circle is a 2D object, any spherical object has a 2D profile of a circle since it looks like one from any angle.

It is possible to define a reference frame from any point, either the sun the earth or anything else, there is no difference. It is possible to convert coordinates from one reference system to the next. And there are already earth-centered coordinate systems. There are also sun-centered coordinate systems, and this is not a contradiction.

The waters above the firmament are clouds, which consist of water vapor. Birds are said to fly through the firmament on another nearby verse.

The sky reflects sunlight just like a mirror or looking glass, yet it is not solid just as a molten metal is "melted" and not solid, yet it is strong because air still has physical weight.

The word for molten can also mean "poured" in other contexts, which applies to fluids and not solids. However it can also sometimes apply to solids that were cast in a melting process and have hardened as well.

I find the argument pretty compelling but I'm on the fence. This is the best pro flat argument I've found from a biblical perspective.

While many Catholics reject the teachings of the Church on this and subscribe to creationism, the Holy Mother Church has decreed that there is no conflict between what is known from studying God's creation and the Catholic Religion.

''The same holy mother church holds and teaches that God, the source and end of all things,

can be known

with certainty from the consideration of created things,

by the natural power of human reason : ever since the creation of the world, his invisible nature has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. ''

I this way, accepting that God's creation is also from God, makes the Roman Catholic the only religion this side of the pro-sodomy religions that accepts science.

I know I have personally been over this with you. The rcc teaches creationism. The quotation you just cited affirms it. "The creation of the world"

Creationism means a supernatural being created the cosmos, as opposed to a cosmic accident scientism view or agnosticism.

Indeed! The creation, aka "The Big Bang", was discovered by Father Lamatrie.

You seem to think I'm saying something different. Get over it, I'm not.

There are lots of Christians who believe that the world was made in six days of 24 hours.

So as we've discussed before you're a creationist like your church teaches

In the beginning God created the heavens (space-time dimension) and the earth. And the earth was without form and void. When first created, the earth was simply a mass of water. By calling it earth, the inference is that the Creator had futuristic intentions with design and purpose. …The earth was void and without form; there was just water. It did not have a surface form. That would be created on day three of creation. On day one of creation the Spirit of God would move on the watery mass and thus generate a sphere. …When the spirit of God moved over the body of water, energy was expressed for a specific purpose. …The water molecule, H2O, is a unique combination of elements, which include:

- A negative and positive pole

- A charge

- Its own tiny electromagnetic field

- In random tendency

- Be solid, liquid, or gas

By adding energy and specific motion to a watery mass, it takes on a spherical shape. The water molecules align, and a global electromagnetic field is formed. There is super charged water in the lines of electromagnetic energy. At the surface where the greatest concentration of energy is located, normal electrolysis would occur, breaking the H2O bond and allowing for free hydrogen and free oxygen. (Electromagnetic energy around bodies of water produces free hydrogen.) The moving of the Spirit of God would have caused free hydrogen, free oxygen, and an electromagnetic field.
