It wasn’t uncomfortable or scary because you hadn’t got to the uncomfortable or scary part yet, anon!
Losing consciousness due to restricted blood flow is only the first step, and you barely made it that far before you “woke up”.
Few minutes after losing consciousness your brain will jolt you back awake as your organs die, but you’ll have no control of motor functions and you’ll be violently shaking your arms and your chest will spasm to attempt to escape the noose, you’ll be able to feel all of your organs dying and not be able to do anything to prevent them. You’ll feel the pain, you’ll struggle, and THEN finally you die, after you shit your pants and vomit lung foam all over yourself. Luckily your oxygen deprivation at the neck level was not severe enough to cause this to happen and you should be thankful for that. Dying in a pool of puke and shit while every atom in your body fights to cling to life, feeling every ounce of pain while you flail your arms around but are unable to escape the death trap.
Hanging is one of the worst ways to go!

I watched a girl jump off a seventh story balcony at my house the other day. She landed on the concrete but was still alive at first. I was the first to find her there and try to help her.
She couldn’t talk because all of the bones in her body were broken and making it extremely painful for her to do anything. All she could do was grit her teeth and groan. She was trying to stand back up but couldn’t. Very strong girl, but god did it look painful.
I called the ambulance and she lost consciousness shortly after that. I don't blame her for giving out.
By the time they got here she was dead. Seeing them rip her shirt up to defrib her really shocked me and made me feel like we are quite disposable. I had to do a statement and they investigated if anyone pushed her but it was deemed a suicide. They offered me counselling after but I rejected it.
The entire thing was captured on my car’s CCTV camera but I have refused to watch the video of the event. It’s extremely traumatic seeing her like that. I still get flashbacks of it happening sometimes when I leave the house and have to drive over the spot where it happened, but I told myself (and her) that I’d use her event as a reason to tell others not to kill themselves. It’s just not worth it. She was only in her 20’s

You don't "wake up" after losing consciousness. When there isn't enough oxygen going to your brain that's it. The spasing out is your body's primal last ditch attempt to save itself it doesn't need consciousness to do it. When there isn't enough oxygen going to your brain you lose conscious first because it uses less juice than your core functions.
Hanging yourself is a fine way to commit suicide. You just have to be certain the rope is strong enough, if it snaps while you're passed out you'll be left with brain damage from the lack of oxygen.

Sometimes I feel like everyone has someone special except me. There are days when loneliness feels heavy, and I wonder if I’ll ever find someone or if I’ll be left behind. Life really is funny sometimes.
I remember frequenting this site and this board 11 almost 12 years ago.
I gotta say though, frequenting image boards since I was teen really fucked my development up a lot but i wouldn't change it in a heartbeat. I had decade long friendships, made memories that I still bi-weekly think about and just start laughing about but almost all friendships have evaporated and all that is left is nostalgia. I went from being a shut in neet that didn't leave the house for 5 years, to having a decent paying, stable office job, to a goverment job, to being a neet again at almost 30 years old. Life really does through you curveball after curveball when you start to think you have everything figured out it all falls apart. I'm hopeful for the future though, which is funny considering I had multiple suicide attempts but I really am. Everything is going to work out in the end, I'm not only talking to myself but also to (you). Just take one step after the other and if you fall down and land right there where you started? You just continue until one day you reached the top of the stairs and achieve what you always wanted to achieve. Because I believe not only in myself but also in (you).
As long the Earth, Sun, and Moon exist, everything will be alright
