It's starting to look like the only point of having a smartphone is to make Signal for Linux work. Signal is useful because it facilitates access to free hookups, drugs, prostitutes, and talking to the few people I can stand. Without it, I'd probably fall back to email. Everything else (including 2FA, unless you can set up an authenticator app) can be accomplished with a laptop/tablet and flip-phone that has hotspot/tethering capabilities. Even pizza can be ordered over the internet, if you're too poor for to buy an e-scooter or e-bike. I don't think this is really the death knell for the open source that many people think it is, but it may be the end of the clearnet. Cloudflare and AI have made the clearnet nigh-unusable over the past few years. We may be transitioning to an anachronistic world where the average person has fast access to information of varying degrees of accuracy provided by corporate "intelligences," much like the newspaper/TV/radio era but at a much faster pace. With anti-AI tools and the darkblag being a barrier to entry with an IQ threshold, the darknet may become one of the few places where dissidence and information can spread freely. Keeping shazbots - who support FAGMAN products because they are convenient - out of the cyber world as things were in the pre-smartphone world may be the best thing that could happen to internet dissident culture and the open source movement. Now, if only someone could make another chan that didn't use javascript, that'd be choice. If dark markets that have anti-spam protection won't even let you access their sites without disabling javascript, here's really no point in having javascript on other onion sites.
