I tried running Unleashed Recompiled on my laptop again the other day, and tried some cool mod I found. I tried running it before and it wasn't going well, but this time it was good enough with the lowest setting. Not the best way to play, but I'm glad to know that if I ever want to casually play it for a bit I can just launch it on my laptop. Still crazy that this exists

What mod were you playing with? After the recomp came out, I spent about a week playing it with the Like a Werehog and the Espio reskin mods. The latter has a real neat idle.

I just tried the mod that replaced the boost distortion sound with rock covers of the soundtrack. I was wishing for this game to get some cool official remixes (preferably by Senoue) and well, that mod is basically an unofficial version of what I want. I only played one stage but it's cool. Those gameplay and character mods seem interesting too, I'll replay the whole game with a bunch of mods and enhancements after I'm done with the official experience

Have you played the Tournament Edition mod for Riders? I saw some other anons playing it recently over on the main thread. Plus, there's netplay.

I haven't played Riders unfortunately. But it looks more interesting than regular racing games, so I've been more interested in giving it a try after CrossWorlds was announced. I also always get the impression that multiplayer is kinda an important part in racing games so netplay sounds great, I would like to try that

I can't recommend Riders enough. It was my first Sonic game (if you don't count Ultimate Flash Sonic), and it's still my all-time favorite.

Nta, it's a good idea to experience vanilla Riders first. There's a lot of QoL and balances changes in Tournament Edition that you might appreciate, but vanilla has it's own charm the first time around. Netplay or sharing personal best times is pretty fun.
