With so many free and built-in security options these days, do you think it’s still necessary to pay for antivirus software? What features or peace of mind make you stick with a subscription, or have you switched to alternative solutions? Curious to hear what’s working for everyone.

I switched to my OS's built-in protection last year and haven’t noticed much difference. As long as you're careful with links and downloads, you can get by with free tools. That said, I always back up my files just in case. Prevention and common sense go a long way.

I came across the norton antivirus phone number https://norton-antivirus.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html and browsed through a few user experiences. What stood out was how many people valued real-time protection and system optimization features that free tools often lack. For me, it’s less about basic virus scanning and more about a full ecosystem of digital security. If you handle sensitive data or do a lot of online transactions, that extra layer of protection, especially against phishing or ransomware can really make a difference.
