PF (T.me) BREAKING: A military helicopter with two pilots from Fort Rucker crashed near Opp, Alabama, Monday afternoon.
Blake Turman, the sheriff of Covington County, confirmed that a helicopter crashed in a privately owned field on Cool Springs Road, near the Opp Bypass.
The sheriff tells WDHN he does not believe anyone was injured. The two pilots were taken to Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp to be “checked out.”
Fort Rucker officials confirmed the helicopter was from Fort Rucker. Details on the crash are limited.

Here’s the typical investigative process once a threat is identified:
Detection & intake
Threats are flagged through the Secret Service’s Open Source Intelligence Branch (which monitors major social media platforms), tips from the public, platform reports, or referrals from local/state law enforcement or other federal agencies.
Initial assessment
The Protective Intelligence Division reviews the post and checks the agency’s Protective Threat Management System for any prior history on the account or individual.
Identification of the poster
Investigators work to identify the real person behind the account. This routinely involves obtaining subscriber information, IP logs, and other data from the social media platform (via legal process).
Deep dive into the subject’s online activity
Agents examine the subject’s full social media presence across platforms — not just the threatening post. They review posting history, interactions, associates, groups followed, previous statements, and any pattern of escalation or fixation.
Examination of contacts and “orbit”
Investigators interview people connected to the subject: family, friends, online contacts, coworkers, roommates, medical/mental-health providers, and local law enforcement who may already know the person. The goal is to assess capability, intent, access to weapons, mental state, and whether the threat is credible or part of a broader pattern.
Database and background checks
Criminal history, intelligence databases, travel records, financial activity, and other available information are reviewed.
Threat classification & action
Cases are assessed for seriousness (intent + capability). Outcomes can range from a warning interview and monitoring, to mental-health intervention with local authorities, to federal arrest and charges.
Social media is no longer a “private rant” space when it involves threats against protected officials. The Secret Service and partner agencies treat online threats the same as written or verbal ones — and they do look at the full digital footprint and the people around the poster.
Making credible threats against the President is a serious federal offense. This is how those cases are actually worked.
