Attacker(s): Jessie Gutierrez, Jose Angel Gutierrez

Description: The Gutierrez brothers entered The Texas Coin Exchange, where they were waited on by Dorothy. After they had been in the store for about 10 minutes, J.A. Gutierrez pulled out a .22 pistol and, after seeing Dorothy attempt to leave the room, shot her in the back of the head. The brothers then put all of the jewelry into bags as they threatened to shoot anybody who looked at them, before fleeing with $500K in jewelry.

Description: Shuler, who used to work with James, decided to rob the armored truck that James was in the back of when it went to make a pick up. Shuler ordered the driver and passenger out of the vehicle, before shooting at them. He then stole the truck with James locked inside, before getting into a firefight with James, who emptied his revolver at Shuler, who shot him 20 times with an SKS rifle.

Attacker(s): John W. Fearance Jr.

Description: Fearance, a felon who had served 1 year 8 months in prison for rape and multiple thefts, became angry when his wife baked him a casserole with meat, instead of having the meat separate like he prefers. He responded by breaking into several homes in his neighborhood, before breaking into Larry and Betty’s home. He attacked them both with a knife, injuring Betty, who called the police, before stabbing Larry 19 times.

Attacker(s): Alvin Johnson, Wilbur Lee Jennnings

Description: Johnson broke into Roger’s hotel room and attacked him. He beat him, before strangling him to death and fleeing with his wallet and money.

Johnson, who had served 10 years for Roger’s murder, and Jennings, a local serial killer, teamed up after meeting at a rescue mission. They broke into Clarice’s home and raped her, before strangling her to death. They were linked to the case via DNA in 2005.

Description: Mary, an advertising executive, had just left work and was on her way to her car in the Sheraton parking garage. Upon arriving, she encountered Hoffman, who was working as a valet at the garage. Hoffman kidnapped Mary at gunpoint, forcing her to drive to a nearby ATM and withdraw $200, before forcing her to drive to a remote area in St. Tammany Parish. He then raped her at gunpoint, before making her march to a makeshift dock near the Middle Pearl River and kneel. He then shot her in the head, before leaving her naked body to be found 2 days later.

Attacker(s): Milton Johnson

Description: Zita and her sister were found shot to death in their home, their bodies had been burned, and one of them was sexually tortured.

Kenneth and Terri’s bodies were found in Kenneth’s car, which was parked in a field.

Johnson began shooting at people near 147th street in Homer Township,IL, killing 5 people and wounding 1.

Johnson shot Anthony as he slept in the front seat of his car. He then ordered Patricia to give him Anthony’s wallet and her purse, before ordering her to get into his truck. He drove to another location before raping Patricia, then driving another 10 minutes, before stabbing her in the chest and dumping her bound and gagged body. She was found about an hour later and survived to identify Johnson.

A month later Johnson entered Marilyn’s ceramic shop and tied the women up at gunpoint, before stabbing them a total of 43 times, then shooting Anna in the neck.

Description: Lipscomb attacked Dorothy while she slept, cutting her throat, before stabbing her multiple times in her left eye, penetrating into her brain, then stabbing her breast. He also attacked her 4-year-old daughter, who called police.

Lottie went outside early in the morning to sweep the sidewalk in front of her house. He body was found 2 hours later in a nearby alleyway with a handkerchief wrapped around her neck.

Description: Geneva was walking to school, when Lockett grabbed her and dragged her behind a fodder stock, where he attempted to rape her, before crushing her head with a rock.

Description: Nixon climbed the fire escape outside Florence’s apartment and entered with a brick. He ripped off Florence’s nightgown and attempted to rape her in front of her 7-year-old son Jimmy, before beating her to death with the brick, cracking her skull and splitting the brick in two.

Nixon climbed the fire escape outside Alda’s hotel room and entered through a window. He then hit her in the face with a brick, before tearing off her dress and raping her. He then used the brick to beat her unconscious, before strangling her with one of her stockings.

Nixon climbed the fire escape outside Elizabeth’s apartment and entered through a window. He then beat her in the face with a brick, before stealing items from her purse. She was in a coma for 6 weeks before awakening. She was left deaf in her left ear, and survived until 1953.

Nixon and Green entered Zoe’s apartment to rob it, with Green stealing her pocketbook and the wristwatch off the nightstand, while Nixon beat her in the head and face with a brick, fracturing her skull and giving her permanent brain damage.

Nixon and Green entered the Worden’s apartment through a kitchen window. They stole money from Edna’s purse, before raping her and beating her to death with a brick. They then attacked Edna’s 12-year-old daughter Marguerite, stripping and attempting to rape her, before beating her to death with a brick.

Nixon climbed the fire escape outside Betty’s hotel room and climbed in the window. He then raped and beat her, before fleeing.

Nixon entered the same hotel room that he had attacked Alda in and attacked Virginia. He beat her with a brick, raped her, then stole $3 from her purse.

Nixon climbed up the fire escape outside Anna’s apartment and entered through the window. Attacking her while she took a nap, Nixon brutally raped her, before beating her to death with a brick, crushing her skull in the process, before being scared off by Anna’s roommate coming in to check on her.

Nixon and Green entered Florence’s apartment through her children’s bedroom window. When they encountered Florence sleeping, they attacked her, attempting to rape her, with Green fleeing when she screamed. Nixon then used a brick to beat her to death, cracking her skull in the process, before her sister entered the room, scaring Nixon off. The police were called and Nixon was apprehended 4 blocks away. Florence left behind a husband and 2 young children.

Victim(s): Columbia Jane “Jennie” Brown Gilbreath 62, Robert Neal Osborn 4, Eunice Stevenson 82, Vera Dewitt Leonard 9

Attacker(s): Asbury Respus

Description: Respus entered Jane’s home and attacked her, before putting her body back in her house and setting it on fire.

Respus grabbed Robert and drowned him in a stream, holding his body underwater with his feet. He later pretended to discover the body.

Respus broke into Eunice’s home and beat her to death, before leaving her body hanging by the neck from the rafters of her home in order to make it look like a suicide.

Respus approached Vera as she waited for her school bus. He beat her to death, crushing her skull in the process, before wrapping her body up in a blanket and placing it inside her home, then setting the home on fire.

Attacker(s): George Waterfield Russell Jr.

Description: Russell raped Mary, before using a foreign object to sodomize her. He then beat and strangled her to death, before posing her body in the parking lot of a restaurant.

Russell beat and strangled Carol to death, before inserting the barrel of a shotgun into her vagina, placing a pillow on her head, and putting a pair of red high-heel shoes on her feet. Her body was discovered by her 13-year-old daughter.

Description: Shaw, angered at being fired from his job for sexual harassment, broke into Jay’s home and stabbed him in the neck.

Shaw broke into Todd and Donna’s home and attacked them. He stabbed Todd in the neck, before tying up Donna and raping her, then stabbing her in the neck as well.

Description: Scott snuck up behind each victim as they walked along a Kansas City hiking trail and shot them in the back of their heads. He was caught when he deviated from his prior pattern, and shot Steve in the back of the head in broad daylight on a city street after following him off of a city bus. He shot Karen in behind the Faith Ministries World Church, where she had lived for more than 10 years.

Description: Kyle and his girlfriend were leaving the Shop N’ Go Market, when Murphy struck her without provocation. Kyle confronted Murphy, who pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the chest. Kyle died in the hospital the next day.

Description: Johnson, a felon with a long criminal history, walked into the Fina Whip-In convenience store that Nancy worked at carrying a lighter and a plastic bottle filled with lighter fluid, and went behind the counter. When Nancy attempted to push him away, he poured the lighter fluid on her head. Nancy attempted to open the register while Johnson grabbed two lighters and two packs of cigarettes from the overhead dispenser, before pulling her ring off her right hand, licking his fingers to help slide it off. As soon as Nancy managed to open the register, Johnson took all the cash from the register and some of the coins, before setting Nancy on fire. Nancy ran over to a nearby sink and unsuccessfully attempted to put out the flames, before running outside, screaming for help. Johnson calmly walked out of the store with his bottle, stopping to take a few pieces of candy on the way. Nancy was left with burns on over 40% of her body, and died at the hospital 5 days later.

He then drove away with her stuck to the outside of the SUV, dragging her along the road before she fell off. Her dog, Prince Eric, was found stabbed to death in a trashcan at Brighton Playfield, not far from where her SUV was found.

Description: Stacy, who had just celebrated her 23rd birthday 5 days earlier, was attacked by Jones. He bound and beat her, before raping her. He then shot her in the shoulder and head, before shooting her 3-year-old son twice in the head.

Patterson, who used to work for Gregory, decided to turn on his former boss. He and Jones ambushed Gregory outside his home, handcuffing him as they attempted to shove him into the trunk of his own car, pistol-whipping him as they did so, before shooting him multiple times. They then fled in his Lexus, which was later found abandoned. Gregory left behind a wife and 2 kids, and was murdered on his anniversary.

Jones, who is already in prison for the murder of Gregory, was linked to the case via DNA after nearly 30 years.
