While the MSM directs everyone's attention to the middle east and youtube grifters rage b8 retards to fight over the definition of a man and a woman Congress is trying to put hundreds of millions of acres of public lands currently held in trust for the public on the auction block for strip mining and clearcutting.

DNR is already an awful grift but at least the profit is somewhat kept in public circulation; the lands are kept largely open and there is some oversite but these cancerous nature hating Shabbot Goy and filthy kikes don't have enough and now they want our national forests and public lands as well.

Anyone who told you clearcutting all the old growth built America was lying to you–that wealth built financial dynasties for a small group of politically and financially elite. Much of it did NOT benefit general society. They are going to lie again and tell you we need this to "grow the economy" but the reality is much of it will be exported and the rest will go into the pockets of people who are already billionaires.

The left hates Trump for all the wrong reasons and the right loves him for equally stupid reasons. Can we at least agree that selling off our public lands to China and international bankers is (illegally might I add) is fucking retarded and both sides can agree on this?

It really depends what they DO with these resources. I would be 100% for this *IF* they were to boost the domestic economy and local economies and bring down inflation by flooding our supply chain with more resources extracted from the land.

However, if the vast majority of lumber is being sold on offshore markets and only billionaires profit from this, rather than local businesses, then this does not do America much good. Only good it will do is create more jobs.

Years ago I was driving through rural British Columbia. There were miles and miles of beautiful forest on both sides of the road. Saw a road going into the forest, decide to find a place to camp for the night. About a half mile into the woods I come into a clear cut that goes on for as far as I could see. Nothing but stumps. Quite a shock to say the least.

Lumber is heavily subsidized and the two main reasons we use so much is because building code forces retards to make stick frame housing because anything else costs a fortune for permitting and the other reason is industrial hemp is federally banned which would replace lumber and cotton for textiles.

The problem with the domestic economy is we keep bringing in third worlders to undermine wages and drive up the cost of living while exporting manufacturing.

Cutting down more trees and strip mining national forest would provide a temporary income boost for people that are already wealthy and would end up making life worse for almost everyone else.

Saying this would be "good for the economy" is a lie. The jobs would go mostly to immigrants who will do dangerous jobs for less–it would fuck wages into oblivion.

>>13638625

Loggers are cancer–they lie about everything. We could revise the building code; legalize hemp; stop timber export so China can burn it in pellets and turn it into plastic and the result would reduce the need for lumber exponentially.

Cutting down lowland rainforest should be illegal. Cutting down forests and filling wetlands are the number 1 and number 2 main drivers of climate change.

Building codes vary State to State and not all houses are built from lumber. The mass shitty cookie cutter houses are, but that doesn't apply with all housing. Otherwise, yes there are better uses for lumber and there are also better ways to build homes too. We still should have local lumber industries though, that was the backbone of many small town and rural American jobs back in the day, it's what made a lot of rural America prosper and have families.

Not all forests are the same. Inland pine are fine for timber harvest, coastal and intermountain rainforest should be illegal to log. Industrial hemp could also work for building materials–it can be grown almost anywhere and probably could revitalize the South West.

I blame christcucks every bit as much. Imagine showing up to the west coast of america and seeing forests from the ocean to the mountains of 600 to 1000+ year old trees and cutting it all down as tribute to the wealthy aristocracy.

Jews don't do manual labor.
