Hitler banned cigarettes in NS Germany, but is it true that tobacco is bad for you? The reason tobacco gets its bad reputation is because of Big Tobaccos who throw additives that are dangerous. It's not the tobacco that kills people (or the nicotine in it), it's the shit they put in it that are. They cure the tobacco leaves with sugar and that's why diabetics can't smoke and why it causes cancer is because cancer cells feed on sugars. Sugars are broken down into acids and bacteria feeds on that. That's why they use alcohol to kill bacteria and clean surfaces with because it lowers the pH. Again, sugar is the biggest killer. And contrary to popular belief, cigarette filters do not reduce the harm from the cigarette - they're the most dangerous part of the cigarette. They contain fiberglass and God knows what else. They're not even a biodegradeable material. And the rolling paper puts tar in your lungs, not the smoke. Why? Because papers are made from petroleum (like how inmates make tattoo ink by burning paper, toilet paper, cardboard, styrofoam, plastic and COVID masks and that creates "sut" which is scraped up into a powder, put in a deoderant stick cap and mixed with a stick of cheap deoderant with alcohol in it, like Dawn Mist or Freshscent, which is squeezed through a pair of clean underwear and dripped in, and they stir it up into a thick paste). Grow your own drip-fed tobacco hydroponically indoors (because it won't grow during the winter), 100 - 200 plants will last you a year if you're a chainsmoker, use drip buckets because these plants can grow to be 6 ft (hydroponically growing it can speed up growth rates by weeks, so you could have a full grown plant in just days doing it this way), dry out the plants, roll the loose cuts in a tobacco leaf and hit it without a filter. Buy rustica seeds, they're the best. And raw tobacco smells nice, unlike them rank ass Newports that smell like burnt dog shit (which is why I never liked menthols).

The truth is, people have been smoking for generations and never had to worry about cancer or emphysema until just recently, even amongst chainsmokers. And vapes will kill you faster than commercial cigarettes because they're loaded with heavy metals and whatever you're vaping condenses and puts fluid in your lungs. Hell there's a seaweed that has nicotine in it in higher concentrations than tobacco. Another thing is nicotine patches are a scam. Nicotine molecules are too big to be absorbed topically, which is why most of them doesn't absorb. If you want to quit, it's better to switch to nicotine gum instead.

Tl;dr it's not the smoke itself that causes cancer or tar, it's the carcinogenic gene-altering shit they put in it (like the shit they spray on the rolling papers that they added because of lawsuits from people saying it caused house fires from burning up too quick so they started spraying that shit on them to make it burn slower). If that were the case, marijuana smoke should cause cancer. Tobacco by itself is just addictive, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's dangerous. Just use leaf wraps instead of paper if you want to avoid the tar problem (like rolling a cigar in a tobacco leaf or rolling weed in weed leaf paper so you can make use of the leaves too for smoking). I prefer cigars anyway because those last longer, you can put them out and save for later. Cancer used to be rare amongst humans until Monsanto made Teflon. Now it's in all of us. Hell, you can even chew raw tobacco and it won't fuck your mouth up or cause cancer unlike that gum rotting dip that's loaded with sugar and has fiberglass in it.

Meant to say Du Ponte created Teflon, not Monsanto.

100% true. It's just like the mass produced food. The food itself is not toxic, but the chemicals they put in there are. This is one reason I grow my own tobacco plants (with some limited success as these plants can be difficult to grow for various reasons like pests, temperatures, air flow and weather). I do enjoy making my own batches of sun-grown sun-cured tobacco and aging it for a year, later processing it into pipe tobacco. I stay away from store bought tobaccos unless proven to be grown organically (it's expensive too).

Ever tried grow lights and drip fed hydroponics?

Growing it is better anyways because you both get to save money, get your fix and avoid health consequences all at the same time.

interesting, but some Chinese guy claimed bras were the cause of breast cancer assplosion, and I'm not saying he is wrong.

But my question is were things like lung, or breast, cancer being diagnosed for many, if not vast majority, of victims until very recently?

I'd guess, since there wasn't any treatment anyways, for either, that Lung Cancer would be routinely mis-diagnosed as TB or "consumption" and "no need to waste money on a doctor, I know WTF I got, just make the best of time I got left".

Women might be loath to let male doctor fiddy dem tiddies and mark themselves as "damaged goods", because in the Olde Days you couldn't even see a doctor without the entire Small Town wanting to know why. SOP would be "keep it on the DL, until it spread" and then some generic Death Notice about "illness" or "natural causes".
