Although i did hear from the locals in a hard hit area that a lot of people that saw what was coming tied their kids to trees as they were swept away by the flood waters so the kids would survive. Afterwards some of the surviving children were by themselves and attacked/molested by wandering migrants in the area looting shit. All i heard was the locals and so sheriffs took that trash out. The person telling me this was like 2nd possibly 3rd hand.
