The news is a museum of things that almost never happened. It's designed to warp perspectives, and that's it. It's made to make a normal non-chaotic life look abnormal. At worst, empty. It's blasted at you from every direction. News should be decentralized and packaged as semi-normal events from segregated neigborhoods and should be opened consensually like the Nextdoor app.
It should have nothing out of this world or biologically impossible for most people like murder. It's deception to create false risk. If you put 30 violent crime stories next to each other, the world doesn't seem safe. The news avoids mentioning the location and time gap during in the headline and never adds a disclaimer that the suspect is not a human but genetically defective to the point that they couldn't participate in society.
The news creates a feeling of helplessness. Your emotions can't go anywhere unless you're an anomaly who is the same type that'll end up on the news. Those people rarely exist to the point that they should be disconnected from the real world.
If you remove all non-natural disasters, major geopolitical events and medical news, we would miss out on almost no new information that actually affects our lives. Making general news only serve the purpose of
outrage.
All news should be observed through consensually exploration. People should dive through knowing what they want to see. If I'd like to look up a mass shooter, I will. I don't expect to be the victim of an algorithm.
They are brainwashing you to become a liberal. They will normalize murder to you through the news, and then they will wrap it in their environmental determinism ideology and hand it to you. "These look like normal people. If murder is so common, it might be nurture!"
Not only that, imagine a feed with just disabled people. That's the news. Down syndrome is pretty rare, but you can never get it, same as the exceptions on the news.
With that rarity, they become criminals. Some will be respected in history books while true martyrs will be condemned.
