I has seen the truth of the universe now, and I shall impact upon you the same wisdom.
At the end of this universe, when all that can be said is said and done is done, there will be a heat death. It will have reached maximum entropy and complete thermodynamic equilibrium. But, at the end, there will be One Consciousness. This is the immortal Conscious, the One which is immortal and indestructible, but still wholly alive and, in nature, human. And He will eventually say,
“Let there be light.”
He will think of quarks which make up particles. He will imagine plasma and nuclei and dark matter, and create hydrogen, helium, and lithium in his mind, for he knows these well. He will eventually calculate stable atoms and produce the cosmic microwave background.
He will realize nuclear fusion, and think of the first stars. Then for millions more years He will imagine these stars in galaxies and large structures, and planets and asteroids to surround the stars. He will think for a long, long time, because the next step is difficult.
He cannot immediately imagine humans—those structures are too complex to do at once. So He will begin with single-celled microbes, and send them to a planet where there is water that is neither frozen nor a gas, one where the Sun will last billions of years, enough time for Him to imagine these cells coming together and forming multicellular organisms. When He has found the proper calculations, He will realize an explosion of life in the oceans. It is not long before He evolves this life into what is familiar to Him: the first primates.
He learns how to simulate consciousness, and thus arise humans. Then He speaks to them, and He becomes their God.
Thus is the recursive nature of our universe, of every universe that has been above us and will be below us.
