So I want to get more shit on VHD. I have the movies but was wondering if it's worth checking out the books and manga.

1.The manga is a direct illustration of the books but the art could suck or be cheap and confusing. Also it ends after book 8 due to the artist being crippled.

2.The books could be garbage teen stuff because that's what most LNs are in Japan but I liked the movies so maybe I'd like a few of them too.

I'd like to just talk about VHD in general so I made a thread.

I've got this Vampire Hunter D Artbook (Sorry I don't have a better pic) from awhile ago that's really nice. I recommend picking it up if you can find it. Some of Yoshitaka Amano's stuff has been scanned and uploaded to the panda too if you want to see more of his art.

It's a shame my local book shop is so jewish with their used manga section, because they had a few of the novels and manga. Lady at the counter kept trying to pull the

The only appeal I found was talking about the episodes and stuff while the show was airing with other anons.

The excitement before, during, and after a new episode is always fun, especially when the show leaves you with questions and stuff.

Did it with Re:Zero and it was nice. Any of the threads that weren't around an episode airing sucked, but it was fun guessing what they would censor or change from the WN/LN, and then discussing the episode afterwards.

Me either and yet I found out the anime was supposed to be released back in 2015 which is fucking insane and what made this anime even more credible is that it was being made by Sunrise. The same guys who created Gundam. So it really makes you think why did this company mysteriously cancel this show behind the scenes? Such anime like these makes me sad that we could have gotten an awesome gem had it got made. Like already you could see one of the characters the Sun already be best waifu had the show been greenlighted. It's a damn shame this gem will never leave the lost media affect that many new IPs keep getting.

Both comics and manga suck nowadays but for opposing reasons. While SJW authors ruined western comics with their PC pandering garbage, manga panders too much for the cumbrain demographic to the point strong male figures in leading roles are seem as taboo because who wants to look at strong men anyway that's gay just gimme the titties so I can jerk off and burn the few neurotransmitters I have left.

most the time comics are just horribly written and often don't have a continuous plot they're just villain of the week nonsense. Doesn't help that they still endorse this multiple authors, no continuity and no creative control culture because ever comic when it comes down to it is milking a brand most of which are from the last century. Really only the biggest manga ever get to do this and even then most don't. Obviously the women are drawn better too

Not sure if this is allowed to go here but imma tell you anyways.

More people are watching anime which is good but then again it fucking sucks. The reason why is because most of the people watching it are “normies”. Let me explain. As you could tell, there has been an increase in anime “fans” during quarantine who mostly spam about My hero Academia and Haikyuu (Or just any basic ass Shōnen) but what differentiates them from the average “new anime fan” is that they are normies (mostly Kpop fans, which is obvious to tell since they act like fucking children and spam “aesthetic vibes💞✨” or spam random letters instead of fucking laughing. We all know who they are and we all hate them. Most coming from twitter (which is a fucking cesspool I know)). They have ruined our once loved reputation of anime and morphed it into something that only adults with the mentality of a 14 year old would like. The wave of “new normie fans” won’t end for the foreseeable future since it is a trend. Mind you, these were the same people who complained that anime fans were pedos a few years ago and the same people who made fun of us for watching anime as kids. It’s just weird to see the these people now pretend that they’ve been a fan for a long time only because it’s a “trend” It just makes me angry.

You might call me petty, I don’t care but I want out old community back. I want the community that I grew up with back. I’m sure some of you won’t care and some of you might agree. It would be great for me to hear your responses.

I might’ve missed some things out but whatever, I guess.

Things move extremely slow here, but at least the people on this site are actually here to discuss our interests and not just to follow trends.

I never used 8chan tbh. I knew of it's existence, but the boards I used on 4chan were still usable for the most part so I never bothered seeking alternatives.

I still use /out/ pretty frequently. It was never really invaded, because it's not one of the boards that gets advertised all over reddit and youtube as a "super secret cool kids club."

Big anime watcher here, and I agree. Newer animes have been way too "casual". This process started happening in the early 2000s for games and anime alike, and that's why I don't play games and no longer watch anime. So I have a strong dislike of casuals as well.
