I just read through what was printed in English the other day. I'm very impressed. The visual style compliments Teacher's perspective so well, being confused and depressed but also very loving.

It's style is a reason I love the series.

Thought the reboot was completely dead but it looks like it's still got some life in it. Following Erina around is more interesting because she's such a huge bitch. Reina's "wandering noble" thing was (purposefully) cliché, and the writers basically did it all over again with Rebellion, so it's a nice change of pace.

The /ss/ flute is a blatantly transparent way to get some softcore going without any consequences, but it works so why not.

Rather than ending in a contrived feels-rush-til-oblivion after zero progress the entire run, wouldn't a better or at least more realistic plot development for haremshit romancebait have the protagonist start and end relationships throughout the series with the various girls? That way it wouldn't be just asspulls that feel like the series was suddenly axed. Something like Minamoto-kun Monogatari does although that has its own share of plot contrivances.

It just seems odd for losers in an MCBowl to be perfectly accepting of an abrupt choice by the protag without freaking the fuck out when chapter after chapter had barely any more development past furious blushing.

perhaps the reason i don't like most vidya anime is because i never had those particular experiences with vidya, and the closest to it was the initial awe, adventure and teen drama of sao, to the final loneliness and nostalgia of overlord

I'm not sure what you expected. Most people working in their respective industries hate the fans of that industry by default. It's just another job for them or another way to sneak in their personal politics to showcase the territory they conquered.

Hatena Illusion is kind of like that but not really. Has a more mahou shoujo feel and they're just stealing back their artifacts the family created and not enough stealing.

I can confirm that they indeed counted as posted because after posting an image and not being able to see it, I tried posting it again and got "this file already exists in this thread" message. But after the issue got "fixed" the rest of the thread went missing anyway.

If that's the case then they should've given us an anime-only ending with it being a harem ending. What they chose instead is just to be a fag who spoils the ending.

Anime really would have been great at 3 seasons to do all the best parts and include the center exam but they dropped it down to 2. 1st season was fast but well paced. The 2nd was slow using less chapter material each episode which meant less showcasing of the 5 main heroines for that season. They also skipped ahead and used a critical character development moment for Fumino and re-contextualized it to happen before the festival instead of it happening way later in the manga. They also skipped the other 4's moments of similar characterization but I guess they were way late into animation before they could get to it, which is why I suggested they should've gone for a 3rd season to fit those in. Also, because of the ending they gave in the anime, it made that heartfelt Fumino characterization pointless when it looks like Uruka is going to win in the anime and looking like in the manga as well.

It's not like Uruka winning in the end should come as a surprise. Manga of this type always end with either the first girl the main protagonist meets or childhood friend winning in the end. There is very few manga that I know of that really bucks that trend. It would have been better if Mafuyu was the winner since even the audience who voted in the popularity poll overwhelmingly picks her by a wide margin. I think she was at 12,000+ votes while the rest of the girls were in the 2,000-3,000+ vote range or maybe even less. I suggest you read the manga since you're missing a lot that the anime doesn't cover.

imo story was over at that point anyway with them splitting of to different universities etc. dragging it out further most of the time doesn't add that much anymore and only makes the whole thing worse. that's why I like it that the anime ended there and left it open enough that you can make up your own headcanon. it's heavily implied uruka "wins" in the long run but that doesn't shut the door on the others outright.

isn't hooking up with the adult even more rare? and who wouldn't want to bang the hot teacher? so the votes were already heavily skewed.

which one? iirc anime also never really showed she's pining that much over him and is just getting caught up in it, which ironically made it feel much more natural.
