This is why Orthodox will never make much headway into missions into France. There is one subset of Orthodox "Gauls" (Western Rite) who still care about their national heritage, but they're considered outside the fold/heterodox and the larger churches are just Russians who don't give a hoot about the French people. While here, you just have a bunch of Prot rednecks larping as Orthodox and never cared about her either. They're still tainted by a hatred of all things Catholic.

Answer: they hardly think about her at all. She literally came about 400 years after the schism and was a roman catholic from france, why would they care?

This is why Orthodox will never make much headway into missions anywhere. They pretend that they aren't, but the Orthodox are so highly loaded to the gills with Byzantine/Slavic cultural baggage masquerading as legitimate dogma, that they won't get any serious converts from non-Orthodox countries who aren't just societal rejects like white Hindus are in the US.

Western Christianities, be they Catholic or Protestant, are far better at splitting the actual gospel from the cultural stuff surrounding it when doing missionary work. The orthos, on the other hand, will very, very, very begrudingly allow an altered liturgy (like western rite, in your example), but really, they'd prefer it if you just coped St. John Chrysostom and all its intricacies which make it weird and uncomfortable for a native speaker of something other than Greek.
