Double feed stoppages result from failure to extract. They normally indicate an extractor problem. The extractor could be improperly manufactured, or the pivot pin hole in the slide could be slightly off, causing incorrect spacing between the rear face of the extractor hook and the vertical face of the breech. Or it could be insufficient extractor tension. Or it could be a worn or damaged extractor hook. Magazines have nothing to do with it.

it is not a flaw, a hit in that location would kill the carrosel, but that is a kill in a western designed tank too. The problem is that they carried ammo everywhere outside of the carrousel and that made the tank very sucessitble to catastrofic failures, more than the western counterparts. Now the t90 have fixed that with the ammo basket and reinforced the security with the carrossel spall liner.

Tanks are obsolete now. It's almost like I can see the bubble of all that WWI/II war technology as a discrete thing in time now and it's over. Same with movies. I think they are over too and will be remembered as mostly a 20th century artifact like the aircraft carrier or tank.
