In a series of random street interviews, many Chinese citizens said they have never had any direct contact with Americans, not even seen one in person, yet from a young age they were taught by the Communist government to “hate America.”
One interviewee in his forties recalled, “When I was a child, we were taught in school that America is the enemy and we must be wary of them.” A college student added, “All my impressions of Americans come from textbooks and news; I’ve never spoken to a real American.”
Analysts note that fostering hostility without real interaction can create deep-rooted stereotypes and may cause long-term divisions in international relations.
China has over 100 million Communist Party members, meaning that a significant portion of its 1.3 billion population is continuously exposed to—and expected to uphold—party ideology. This large-scale ideological indoctrination influences not only party members but also the broader society, as the Party’s teachings permeate education, media, and public discourse.https://www.google.com/search?q=%E6
