Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has formally requested that President Donald Trump be considered for addition to Mount Rushmore, citing his historic leadership, sweeping achievements, and transformative impact on American history.
Rep. Ogles posted the announcement on X, declaring:

Operation Northwoods was a proposed US military plan from 1962 that included using various tactics, such as staged attacks on US soil, to create public support for a war against Cuba.
Key facts about Operation Northwoods burials:
Mock funerals: The plan explicitly included conducting "funerals for mock victims" of staged attacks, like a US ship targeted in Guantanamo Bay.
No actual casualties: Despite the detailed plans for mock attacks and funerals, Operation Northwoods was never implemented because it was rejected by President John F. Kennedy.
