i'm encrypting my computers and hard drives with Veracrypt and Linux. There is nothing wrong with using encryption software. Encryption is perfectly legal to use. I encrypted several hard drives with Veracrypt.

It's just common sense really. What if your drive has issues and you wanna return it for a refund or something? What if it gets stolen? Are you comfortable handing that data over to someone else? I'm not, Just have a media drive with all your stuff encrypted and a bare metal OS drive with nothing important saved on it easy as

well the main reason I am encrypting my hard drives is because I download porn (legal adult porn and hentai, mind you). And I think it is still a good idea to encrypt the adult porn and hentai (since it looks suspicious even though it technically isn't illegal).
