Two years ago my channel was banned for sexual content guidelines to than suddenly be unbanned more than two years later.
This isn’t self-promotion—my ASMR channel is basically dead, just embedding a example from my channel to see what was considered ban worthy and this is mostly a rant about YouTube and a warning for anyone wanted to create ASMR content.
I just want to share how quickly your work can disappear and why so many small ASMR channels dissapear on YouTube. My at the time new and small channel got monetized which means they reviewed and accepted it into the YouTube partner program.
Two days later I was banned for “sexual content” by their algorithm and every appeal was automatically denied. I have never showed any body parts like most creators and I only use anime-style animations. I did do ear licking and mouth sounds and I understand that can be "controversial "but so do most of the bigger ASMR channels, ASMR is also the biggest search term of 2024.
Now suddenly TWO YEARS later I have a auto generated mail from YouTube that my channel did not go against community guidelines and they unbanned it while all people that did watch are already gone. Sorry I just felt like leaving a rant because this unban makes me more salty after 2 years than the ban itself.
