But how many butts are there in relation to something like Frank Frazetta illustrations nowadays.

He has butts, too, by the way, but not much along those ways.

Where are the old masters of illustration gone?

Do you think they would all be drawing porn today, too?

and by extension, moral rights? Should artists really have custody of their art even after it's exchanged? If so, why? I honestly don't think the guy in pic related is wrong at all. Sometimes when artists put annoying signatures in the middle of the focus of the pic that I like, I'll open up an image editing program and relocate it somewhere off to the side so it doesn't clog up the focus, is that really so wrong?

I don't disagree with him in principle, if you paid for the work you can do what you want with it in every way but say that you made it. But it's really not that hard to ask "hey, can you make your signature inconspicuous? thanks" any artist would oblige.

But the thing is, artists should stay the fuck away from this double O dipshit because his attitude is a giant red flag to anyone who wants to work with him- especially considering he thinks the artists somehow feel entitled, instead of you know, him. He's just like those people who see artists as being their slaves and not providing a good, except he has begrudgingly accepted that he has to pay for it.

 No.9979

Holy shit, what a faggot. You just know his eyes are too close together or too far apart. Too bad he’s mostly correct, but for what seems to be self-entitled, retarded reasons. Barring any terms in the upfront agreement, the parties don’t owe each other anything after the work’s been completed and payed for. The commissioner now owns it. Obviously, if you turn around and reproduce the art for profit or marketing, that’s a different and potentially litigious situation. I'd sure like to know what art this entitled shit commissions.

As far as OP’s addition: I think most artists know not to make their signatures too big or intrusive on commissions. Your talking about stuff they did to get shared around, so they want the sig front and center. And no, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you cutting down or relocating the signature before you save it to your personal fap folder. (It’s a little autistic it bothers you enough, though.)

>screen name is dramarising

Just likes to stir shit, I bet.

>blog is currently hidden behind password

It's a little hard to say. To take the apple example, it's like the apple company drawing their logo onto the apples with a permanent marker. You know they do it, yet you bought the apple anyway and now are complaining about it. Reasonable apple companies won't do that, so you should buy from them instead.

As for whether you should be ALLOWED to remove the signature, then of course you should. That doesn't mean the artist has to give you that right, but that also means you don't have to buy from such a shitty artist. There's countless people you could commission from, so don't commission from entitled piece of shit artists who want to own the thing you bought from them.

Deconstructivism is full-on zionism in terms of ideology, and the International Style (a streamlined Functionalism with globalist ideology) is pure jewery too

If anything in Architecture we have seen the bad stuff before it hits the social aspect

The problem, in which i think if these styles implementation are anything to go by, is that we are full of nothing at all these days, there's jumpstarts here and there but nothing concrete (heh), just everyone throwing ideas in the air to see if anything sticks.

We are left in a godless, doctrine-less society full of wandering ghouls. And 3D printers, that one will make our jobs easier i believe.

My advice is to make sure you're good at art and make sure that you really love making art before you go applying for schools. Get to the point where you can make some money off it with commissions or whatever. The teachers who are there are usually working or have worked as a professional in the field of your choice and will be able to work with you much more if you have a solid understanding of what you're there to do. It's usually better to be taught how to do complex shit by a mentor rather than basic shit that you could have just figured out with a youtube video.

I went but was legit below /beg/ tier since I had never really focused hard on drawing. People told me I was good and I took their word for it, so I applied to Uarts in philly (this school is liberal as fuck btw) and the school even accepted my portfolio and let me in. I honestly feel like I got scammed since it was pretty obvious that my drawing were shit and looking back at it I feel like the reviewer I was with at the time thought the same but they brought me in for the shekels all the same.

The college life was fun but I really feel like if I was at a higher level with my art that I would have gotten much more out of going there rather than feeling like I wasted my time and money like I do now.

It was a good school when I went there, I was in the animation program and the teachers were really good and I learned alot, but most of that was just figuring out how to use these complicated adobe programs that are too expensive to continue using after school if you're not making money off your work.

I'm pretty alright at the animating part of animation now, got really good timing and have a solid understanding of how stuff moves but that's it. Can't draw worth a damn. It sucks that I'm a lazy faggot and haven't really practiced hard enough long after I graduated to be at the level where I can really work in the industry at all. Had 4 years to do that but didn't for whatever reason. Can't do shit if you're shit I guess lol.

TL;DR be good at drawing before you go to school and you will be much better off. School is fun either way. I am depressed.

I have serious difficulty with remaining focused on anything, and part of how I'm trying to cope with that is to get away from all electronic devices while I'm supposed to be practicing. As it is, I can barely draw for half an hour a day. Unfortunately, that means I can't rely on .PDFs. I'm ready to throw some money down on physical books, but I don't want to give Amazon or Google a cent. Where can I get books without contributing to entities I detest?

I don't know how to do straight lines with Krita's perspective tool, but this should probably visually explain a lot of where you're messing up.

There are three lines above this catgirl's eyes.

The top line: Her eyebrows.

The bottom line: That skin fold over someone's eyes.

What the fuck is the middle line supposed to be? This shit has been messing with me for a while.

Post what ever you're working on now, no matter the condition, after that you post updates on what you're working on in this thread until it's complete.

This is what I'm working on. My hope is to brute force my way to get good at rendering and values.

It's very unintuitive and to learn to do it, you have to fight against your instincts. Everyone, even professionals forget or buckle under the pressure and end up putting something down that is like you say, a trivial detail and they make it too sharp or too dark and they later go over it and go "oh look at how dumb I was".

I get having all those colors on the side, I do that for oils too (pic related) but to start off with, try to see something in 2-3 colors/values and keep the colors very flat but with carefully studied edges. That's what my example was (light shape, shadow/background shape and the highlight), just a little super light "glazing" over the side of the face after I was done. You'd be surprised at how well you can paint something with just 3 values if the shapes are carefully studied with very specific edges.

it's tough to stop yourself from indulging in having a lot of values and colors to play around with. it's even tougher to get things as accurate as your subject. pulling the head back and looking at the differences is a must.

Don't draw, and especially don't sell, furry art

you are either corrupting the youth

you are enabling subcultures that revel in perversions

you are exploiting mentally ill welfare recipients
