Florida native Kirkwood drove his No. 27 Sam’s Club Honda to a 3.0906-second victory over the No. 7 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet of Christian Lundgaard, leading three Andretti Global drivers in the top four. That margin of victory was deceptive due to a late caution that bunched the field for a restart on the seven-turn, 1.7-mile temporary street circuit, as Kirkwood led by upward of 16 seconds at some points during the 250-mile race.

“You can’t even put it into words – this is incredible,” Kirkwood said. “I’m almost in tears here. This is a big moment for us, a big moment for America here with the 250.”

Said Lundgaard: “I feel that it’s fitting that an American won, right? We gave it our best shot.”

Kirkwood earned his second victory of the season in crushing fashion, leading 128 of 147 laps after starting second. He also won the inaugural street race in March at Arlington, Texas, as six of his seven career victories have come on temporary circuits.

“It felt good to dominate out there; I’m not going to lie,” Kirkwood said. “That was a really good moment. What an incredible place to do it. If you can’t win the (Indianapolis) 500, this is definitely the place to win. I don’t know if we’re ever going to get a chance to do it again – I hope we do. This was awesome. What a dream come true.”

Andretti Global took the next two spots, with Will Power finishing third in the No. 26 TWG AI Honda and Marcus Ericsson fourth in the No. 28 Acura Honda in this race that was the capping event of the celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

Kyffin Simpson rounded out the top five in the No. 8 Sunoco Chip Ganassi Racing Honda.

Kirkwood trailed Palou by 133 points entering this historic event, but the gap is down to 91 with three races remaining after Palou finished 20th in the No. 10 OpenAI Chip Ganassi Racing Honda.

While Kirkwood was dreaming at the checkered flag, Palou endured a nightmare on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Palou, aiming for his record-tying fourth consecutive title and fifth overall, suffered through an uncommon string of mistakes ranging from hitting a rival’s tire during a pit stop and incurring a drive-through penalty, a slow pit stop due to a loose wheel and then a crash in Turn 4 on Lap 123 due to a broken toe link from earlier wall contact.

“It hurts, man,” Palou said. “I wanted to get that win. It kind of hurts a lot that we had this bad of a day. It’s OK; things happen.”

Let me explain why – and why I believe the island has an incredible UFO connection.

But the reason I bought Lamb Island is because I have always felt it is a site of historical and COSMIC significance – as it has incredible mystical qualities and explicit extraterrestrial connections.

Lamb island is one of 3 islands (along with its sister islands Fidra and Craigleith) whose alignment MIRRORS the layout of both the Giza PYRAMIDS and ORION’S BELT

And it also has mythological links to the legendary Egyptian princess SCOTA, who is said to have travelled to Scotland and buried some kind of precious “treasure” on Lamb island!

There also mythic tales that link the island to King Arthur, the Stone of Destiny/Tara, Leylines and other ancient sites.

North Berwick and Lamb Island have long been known as UFO-sighting hotspots.

For instance - on the 11th of September 2022, at around 11am, witnesses reported seeing a UFO DIVE INTO THE SEA around 200 meters from my Lamb island!

Immediately afterwards a military destroyer ship was dispatched to investigate, and sailors with space protective gear were reported to have been seen on board! And WOW today a navy ship has been seen next toLamb!!!

But here’s the most incredible part – I believe that the “treasure” that the Egyptian princess Scota is believed to have buried on the island was NOT gold or diamonds or any kind of normal “treasure”.

I believe it was some kind of precious and highly guarded Ancient Egyptian TECHNOLOGY…an advanced form of technology, energy or knowledge that was perhaps involved in the building of the pyramids and other ancient sites!

And a “treasure” that I also believe may also be directly related to the energy or technology that is used by UFOs/UAPs.

So, what, exactly, may be buried on Lamb Island?

Coud it be some kind of ancient BATTERY or “re-charger” that houses an advanced source of energy?

Maybe the UFOs that have been spotted in the area are visiting the island because they can use the island to “re-fuel” and restore their energy?

Or maybe there are buried scrolls or tablets on the island that contain INSTRUCTIONS about how to harness and control an unknown form of energy that our ancestors knew how to control?

Or maybe, the “treasure” was actually an ancient “UFO” that is now buried on the island - hidden there by Princess Scota thousands of years ago!

Maybe the ENTIRE ISLAND is simply a “garage” or artificial shell, that was designed to house and store an ancient yet advanced craft or technology!

Perhaps my entire Lamb Island is actually a real UFO!

While I was there, I planted a crystal that once belonged to Albert Einstein and I also dowsed for energy.

I could definitely feel that Lamb was a place of IMMENSE power! And I felt that the island sits at a charged intersection of ancient mystery, energy lines, and openness to non-human intelligence.

Because of this, in my micro nation’s constitution, I established and specifically declared special friendship towards peaceful extraterrestrials, who may land upon or pass over my territory or use its underwater space, unhindered, and use it to communicate with humankind.

The remains of another tragic 9/11 victim have been identified thanks to a groundbreaking forensic approach, bringing closure to her grieving relatives after nearly 25 years, city officials said Monday.

Officials said the woman, whose name was withheld at the request of her family, is the 1,654th victim to have their remains identified since the horrific terrorist attack.

“A quarter century after the day that forever changed our world, we are keeping the promise to identify those who died at the World Trade Center in 2001 and return them to their loved ones,” said Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jason Graham in a press release.

The woman was ID’d through a crucial new method called “forensic investigative genetic genealogy,” or FIGG, officials said.

The technique combines DNA technology and genealogical investigation and involves the city’s Office of the Medical Examiner collaborating with the NYPD’s Investigate Genetic Genealogy Squad.

Officials said the approach has allowed researchers to also identify the recently discovered remains of three victims, providing additional closure for their families.

The ME’s office said identifying the remains of victim is a “sacred commitment.”

Officials called the FIGG system a “promising addition” to their toolkit in identifying the remains of nearly 1,100 victims of the attack.

“We will continue to work until every possible answer is found and every family that has been waiting can have the clarity and closure they deserve,” Mayor Zohram Mamdani said in a statement.

Robodebt encore? Palantir lurks as MPs shirk vote, NDIS Bill passes

Politicians went AWOL from Parliament by the dozen on the NDIS vote amid denials about automation and Palantir’s role. Is this Robobdebt II?

On 18 August 2026, the Senate passed the NDIS Amendment Bill. On 19 August, it passed the Lower House. The Royal Assent was granted on 20 August 2026.

A Bill that strips 240,000 disabled Australians from a scheme they depend on, gives automated decision-making powers to a computer program, and removes the right of appeal passed both houses of Parliament last week.

Nobody was prosecuted the last time the government did something like this. The Robodebt architects faced no consequences. Here is how it happened. And what was never asked. Twenty-eight senators made it happen.

Of the 76 senators, 28 voted yes. 12 voted no. 36 did not vote. Every one of those 36 is paid by Australian taxpayers. Every Australian citizen is legally required to vote at elections. But there is no law requiring senators to vote on legislation. On the most significant disability legislation in a decade,

more senators chose not to vote than voted yes.

The Bill passed anyway.

How they voted

Labor voted 24 to nil. Two Liberals voted yes. Neither spoke. Three One Nation senators voted yes. The Greens voted 11 to nil against. Three cross-bench senators voted no.

Eighteen Liberals were absent. Three LNP. Three Nationals. The Coalition would not vote against the Bill. Most would not vote for it.

They simply were not there.

One senator was in the building. They voted on an earlier division. When the final vote came, they did not vote. According to disability advocate Samantha Connor AM, “Seven of WA’s Senators didn’t show up. They did not support us, but neither did they vote for a Bill that they all knew would cause harm.”

What was said

Senator Jordon Steele-John spoke for more than an hour before the vote. The disabled senator put on the record what the government did not: 4,500 submissions opposing the Bill. 94 million hours of unpaid care transferring to Australian families. More than 51,600 full-time equivalent support-worker jobs at risk, stating, “Disabled people are not a burden. Let me say that again. Disabled people are not a burden. We should never, ever be made to feel as though we are a burden by our government or by the society that we live in.”

Rather than taking on and taxing the gas exporters

“— rather than take those people on — you’ve decided to cut the supports of disabled people and stick your metaphorical fingers in your ears, as expert after expert warned you what this bill could do and is likely to do.”

And he put the warning to the Chamber, “You won’t always be there, folks. These people over there — they’ll be there again at some point. What will they do with these powers, I wonder? … Who pays the price of that concession? We do. Disabled people do. We pay with our lives and with our liberties.”

Senator David Pocock raised the Robodebt Royal Commission directly. The Commission recommended that when algorithms make decisions about people’s lives, independent experts must be able to check the algorithm’s work. He asked the Minister: will that happen here?

US unveils ‘economic onslaught’ against Iran

Iran’s top negotiator has dismissed the latest threat from Washington as empty “bombast”

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has announced new sanctions against Iran, and threatened to boot any country dealing financially with Tehran out of the US dollar system, in a bid to make Iran an “economic outcast.”

The new sanctions target nearly 60 entities, individuals, and vessels in multiple jurisdictions that allegedly trade in “illicit nuclear and missile technology” with Iran, aid Iran’s “cyber operations,” and move Iranian oil, the US Treasury Department said in a statement on Monday. More than a third of the sanctioned entities and individuals – 21 – are based in China.

The Treasury also said it had identified digital assets, technology, gold, aviation and shipping as areas for potential secondary sanctions.

Speaking at a press conference later on Monday, Bessent went further, announcing the beginning of “Operation Economic Outcast,” which he described as “an economic onslaught against Iran’s financial connections around the globe.”

Bessent refused to share any more details, telling reporters that “we’re not going to name names,” nor was he “going to set timelines.” Pressed on whether Washington expected China – which is Iran’s largest trading partner – to abide by the sanctions regime, Bessent did not give a definitive answer.

“We find that the best way to engage with countries is through quiet diplomacy. And we are level-setting with every country to tell them our expectations. We know who they are. They know who they are,” he replied, adding “no-one is above the reach of US sanctions.”

Bessent explained that the US would penalize any country refusing to sever its economic ties with Tehran. “Any entity that facilitates money laundering on behalf of Iran will be removed from the US dollar system,” he said, adding “the clock just started ticking.”

Iran exports goods to 147 countries, and imports from 114, according to the most recent data from the World Bank. Asked how the US intends to force three quarters of the world’s nations to cease trade with Iran, Bessent said that US President Donald Trump phoned multiple world leaders over the weekend “with specific requests to cease their interactions” with Iran, and that every country had been given “a defined timeline” to comply with his demands.

Bessent’s threats were shrugged off in Tehran. “Americans know that no one buys their bombast,” senior Iranian negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf wrote on X after the treasury secretary's press conference.

“The United States is not in an economic position to further restrict its relations with other countries,”he explained. “Iran’s trading partners, both in the media and through messages sent to us, have made it clear that they don’t take these statements into account anywhere.”

Mohsen Rezaei, the head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned on Sunday that “not a single drop of oil will leave the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz” if the Gulf states join the US’ economic pressure campaign. If US President Donald Trump “wants to do something, we will retaliate in a seismic manner,” Rezaei added.

Last week, Trump threatened to inflict what he called “Economic D-Day” on Iran, after a 60-day window for negotiating peace with Tehran expired with no breakthrough.Trump ruled out a return to negotiations, but Pakistani Chief of Defense Forces Asim Munir arrived in Tehran on Monday in an attempt to revive the talks.

Poul Thorsen, one of the key scientists whose research is used to “prove” that vaccines do not cause autism has been charged with 22 counts of fraud, including falsifying reports on vaccines.

According to published reports, Danish vaccine researcher Poul Thorsen will plead guilty on September 1, 2026 to federal charges that he stole over one million dollars in grant funding he received from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Thorsen is accused of using Centers of Disease Control and Prevention money, earmarked for autism research, for his own purposes; the Danish-born researcher was studying the possible link between vaccines and the rise of autism rates.

Charges against him raise questions about whether he was deliberately falsifying vaccine data to ‘prove’ that vaccines do not cause autism and have nothing to do with the rise of autism in the United States.

According to author and investigator James Ottar Grundvig, Thorsen’s guilty plea is “a huge victory for justice in the generation-long controversy.” He continued, “CDC hired mercenary scientists, here and abroad, to cook data on MMR and thimerosal studies, to erase the autism signals in vaccine research. They were desperate to keep the trust in the myth that vaccines are ‘safe and effective.’”

According to U.S. Attorney Hertzberg, the charges, and other information presented in court: From 2000 to 2009, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, awarded over $11 million to two governmental agencies in Denmark to study the relationship between autism and exposure to vaccines, between cerebral palsy and infection during pregnancy, and between childhood development and fetal alcohol exposure.

In 2002, Thorsen, who had worked as a visiting scientist at the CDC when it was soliciting the grant applications, became responsible for administering the research money awarded by the CDC.

Thorsen allegedly stole more than $1 million of the CDC grant money by submitting fraudulent documents to the Danish government, Aarhus University, and a Danish hospital where scientists performed research under the grant.

From February 2004 through June 2008, Thorsen allegedly submitted over a dozen fraudulent invoices, containing the forged signature of a CDC laboratory section chief, that falsely claimed a CDC laboratory had performed work and was owed grant money.

A US Air Force Boeing C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft landed at Moscow's Vnukovo International Airport on Tuesday, according to flight-tracking website Flightradar24.

The C-17 arrived from Riga, Latvia, where it landed on Sunday, according to Flightradar24 data. Flight data show that the military transport plane was recently at Camp Springs, Maryland, home to Joint Base Andrews, which supports presidential and senior US government travel.

What’s creating this giant hole in space? This is not a black hole — it’s a shadow. It’s Earth’s shadow. Since at least the time of Aristotle, people have noted that Earth's dark shadow on the Moon during a partial lunar eclipse is circular - although never a whole circle. Using modern digital technology, though, the images of multiple lunar eclipses can be combined to show Earth's complete shadow. The featured image compilation by a perseistent astrophotographer is constructed from 22 years of lunar eclipses. The Moon is not eclipsed every month (moon-th) because the Moon's orbit is slightly tilted relative to Earth's orbit. Close inspection of some lunar eclipse images shows a faint blue band where Earth’s atmosphere filters out more red sunlight than blue. Later this week, a new lunar eclipse will occur and will be best visible in parts of North and South America, Europe, and Africa.

Hung Cao, acting Navy secretary, put the Department of Navy's (DON) 340,000 active-duty personnel, 58,000 reserve personnel, and 210,000 civilian workers on alert, asking them in part to "remove any information that could identify your connection to the DON" as part of a new written notice titled "Epic Vigilance: Immediate Actions for Force Protection and Personal Security."

“In the current global security climate, adversaries and hostile actors are executing a coordinated, multi-domain campaign against the DON enterprise,” the notice reads. “Recent incidents across the globe demonstrate a clear growth in adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.

A member of the U.S. Air Force is facing significant and rare charges after using his position to demand President Trump’s impeachment and removal from office.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson previously reported, Jason Watson, a US Air Force Major who attended the US Air Force Academy, was arrested following a press conference in July that was sponsored by far-left lunatic Rep. Al Green (D-TX), where he called for his boss, the commander in chief, to be removed and convicted.

He started his speech at the press conference with the oath of office before tearing into the President, describing the American people as “the greatest threat to our Democratic Republic,” arguing that “We have all played a part, myself included, in getting ourselves into this mess.”

Watson continued, “For the past 18 months, we the people have allowed the highest levels of the executive branch of the federal government to violate our Constitution and their oath to it with impunity,” while accusing Trump of “innumerable” impeachable offenses.

He went on to spew left-wing talking points about military operations against Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran, cuts to USAID, immigration enforcement, federal law enforcement’s efforts to subdue violent rioters, lawsuits against media companies and universities, tariffs, and even the UFC fight on the White House lawn.

He was detained AGAIN last week for continuing to advocate for Trump’s impeachment.

On Monday, Watson was hit with a whopping 10 criminal military charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for his disgusting actions.

His attorney, Christopher Mutimer, revealed the following charges his client faced to Newsweek.

• Three violations of Article 88 for alleged “contemptuous” remarks about the president

• Five violations of Article 92 for allegedly disobeying orders

• Two violations of Article 133 for alleged conduct unbecoming of an officer

The use of Article 88 is exceptionally rare. Only two such convictions have occurred since the modern Uniform Code of Military Justice was enacted in 1951.

Watson is also the first major in the history of the military to be charged under Article 88.

CNN reports that the Article 88 charges are connected to a June interview Watson did with the Defenders of our Republic Substack newsletter, his protest in uniform at the US Capitol, and an August 17 CNN interview.

Newsweek reports that the Article 92 charges allege that Watson violated Defense Department regulations barring troops from speaking out on partisan politics.

Moreover, these charges allege that Watson wrongfully wore his uniform at the Capitol, violated leave regulations by traveling to D.C., and refused to wear his uniform after his CNN interview.

The two Article 133 charges allege that both the protest and the interview constituted conduct unbecoming of an officer.

The 40-year-old Watson could be dismissed from the military and forfeit his benefits if convicted.

Galactic Gems Glisten in New Gallery From NASA’s Chandra

Galaxies are like cosmic gems, each with characteristics including size and shape that make them distinct.

A new gallery released today from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory and other telescopes displays a collection of galactic images that showcase this variety.

Astronomers put galaxies into three main categories: spirals like our own Milky Way with arms emanating from their cores, ellipticals that are older and likely the results of mergers, and irregulars that can encompass a wide range of galactic phenomena.

Just as gems reveal the history of Earth through how they were forged over billions of years, these galactic gems are a way to study Earth’s place in our home galaxy of the Milky Way.

By looking outward to other galaxies, we learn more about our own – including clues to its past and future.

There are 16 new images in this galactic gallery. Each one contains X-ray data from Chandra that has been collected across Chandra’s decades in space.

This high-energy data has been combined with data from telescopes such as NASA’s James Webb and Hubble Space Telescopes, IXPE (Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer), Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, NuSTAR (Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array), and others both on the ground and in space.

Lansing—Democratic members of the Michigan Board of State Canvassers voted Monday against certifying the Americans for Citizen Voting initiative, leaving the proposed constitutional amendment to require proof of citizenship off the November ballot after a contentious debate.

The four-member board deadlocked 2-2, with Republican members Chair Richard Houskamp and Paul Cordes voting to certify the petition and Democratic members Vice Chair Mary Ellen Gurewitz and Heather Cummings voting against certification. Since the Board has four members in order to have a petition certified there must be at least three members who vote for it.

The initiative needed 629 valid signatures in the state’s random sample to receive a recommendation for certification. Bureau of Elections staff determined that 626 of the 1,000 signatures reviewed in the sample were valid, putting the petition below the required threshold.

Americans for Citizen Voting challenged the findings and submitted sworn affidavits from petition signers whose signatures had been rejected by election officials. Organizers argued the affidavits demonstrated that several signatures the state had deemed invalid were actually signed by registered voters.

The organization presented testimony from a notary who had notarized affidavits submitted by petition signers. The board reviewed 20 affidavits during the proceedings, with five becoming central to the final decision.

Houskamp argued the affidavits deserved special consideration because they came directly from voters who were willing to appear and attest that they had signed the petition.

“Those affidavits meant more than all the other signatures we were fighting for,” Houskamp told the media following the meeting. “Because those were you people, and you were stepping up to the plate.”

The Board of Canvassers has a rule that new evidence cannot be considered in their decision unless it was submitted 48-hours before the meeting, a rule the Democrat members cited as their reason to vote no.

“This was voters who had signed petitions, who were coming forward and saying, ‘You invalidated my signature. I’m coming forward to tell you that that really was my signature and that really was me on the petition,’” Houskamp said. “And so when it comes to the 48-hour rule, I think that’s different.”

The five disputed affidavits were the critical factor in the meeting. Had the affidavits been accepted, supporters argued the initiative would have reached 631 valid signatures in the sample, two above the 629-signature threshold.
