FBI Director Kash Patel makes his first television appearance on Fox News to discuss his mission priority within the FBI. Defending the honorable rank and file FBI agents, Kash Patel notes his intention is to focus on the massive increase in violent crime that has come as an outcome of open borders and illegal alien inflows.

Kash Patel has a long relationship with both Trey Gowdy and current CIA Director John Ratcliffe going back to the days when Patel was the lead staffer for Devin Nunes on the House Intelligence Committee, and Gowdy with Ratcliffe were selected to review the FISA application at the center of ‘Russiagate.’

Mr. Gowdy puts the number of honorable FBI officials at 95% and Director Patel agrees, saying he wants to return to the time when he and his family would invite FBI agents for a cup of coffee.

Patel then emphasizes he has already addressed the bad actors within the FBI and will continue to hold the internal investigative officers accountable with a zero-tolerance approach.

Obviously, Margaret Brennan is a leftist operative within the media space and desperate to direct any conversation toward the narrative issues that are organized by the professional Democrats in DC.Within this interview her priorities are protecting Iran, protecting Hamas and protecting illegal criminal aliens.

Regarding Tren de Aragua criminal gang illegal alien removals, Ms. Brennan says their removal is not a “deportation” they are being sent to prison, and furthermore they are not being afforded “their day in court.”

NSA Waltz misses the opportunity to tell Brennan immigration and DHS are deporting them, removing them; however, we are under no obligation to repatriate them. Perhaps Ms Brennan could look up the term ‘deportation’ in a dictionary.Obviously, illegal aliens do not have U.S constitutional protection, so “their day in court” is a little silly. I think of all the gruff that LEOs have gotten in the past, some of it undeserved vs the existence of some seriously rotten men and women in costume. Now im thinking of how many cops (good OR bad) are protecting these rotten judges? A 'bad cop' can only harm one person at a time, basically. Whereas a rotten judge can negatively impact thousands or even millions with each "Ruling".

And if a judge fails to Rule against a marginal cop, or even especially Ruling IN FAVOR of a bad cop (reinforcing the bad behavior) a cycle of Mutual Protection will quickly develop and another micro SwampBlobMonster is off and running to grow and spread. Combine that with rigged elections for rotten Legislators/Legislation…. all three of them basically divorced from Constitutional limits and functioning like a triad gang of corruption, sedition, treason on into tyranny and despotism..

The National Grid's chief executive has said Heathrow had "enough power" from other substations following Friday's fire that caused the airport to shut down.

John Pettigrew told the Financial Times, external the fire that knocked out a substation was a "unique event", but that two other substations remained operational and capable of powering the airport in west London.

Heathrow's chief executive had already said the shutdown it caused was not due to a lack of power, but was due to the time it took to switch from the damaged substation to the other two.

Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander was asked whether she had full confidence in Heathrow's management. She said it was a matter for the airport's board.

The airport halted operations for 18 hours on Friday, causing thousands of flights to be cancelled and leaving passengers stranded across the globe. The incident also disrupted the supply of millions of pounds of goods that go through the airport.

The fire started in a transformer within the electrical substation in Hayes, north of Heathrow, around midnight.

The airport has emergency back-up power supplies, which use diesel generators and batteries, but these only keep crucial safety systems running, such as landing equipment and runway lights.

A separate biomass power generator also provides heat and electricity to Terminal Two.

However, the National Grid is the main source of power for Heathrow.

Mr Pettigrew told the Financial Times he couldn't remember a transformer failing to such an extent in his 30-year career in the industry.

"Losing a substation is a unique event but there were two others available. That is a level of resilience."

He added: "There was no lack of capacity from the substations. Each substation individually can provide enough power to Heathrow."

A Heathrow spokeswoman said that Mr Pettigrew's comments "confirms that this was an unprecedented incident and that it would not have been possible for Heathrow to operate uninterrupted.

"Hundreds of critical systems across the airport were required to be safely powered down and then safely and systematically rebooted," she said.

"Given Heathrow's size and operational complexity, safely restarting operations after a disruption of this magnitude was a significant challenge."

Heathrow managers decided to close the airport on safety grounds while they switched to the alternative National Grid supplies.

The airport's chief executive, Thomas Woldbye, told the BBC the delay in reopening was due to the need to "reallocate" the power supply - "closing down and restarting systems which takes a long time".

He said there were a "number of systems we have to shut down and then bring them back up and ensure they are safe".

"It's fuelling systems, it's bridges, it's escalators, all of these systems have to be brought back up [and] tested to ensure they are safe."

He added that there were risks "of certain sizes we cannot guard ourselves against 100% and this is one of them".

However the duration of the shutdown has infuriated airlines.

Willie Walsh, the former British Airways boss and head of the airline organisation IATA said it was a "clear planning failure by the airport" and the systems and procedures for handling power failures are now under the spotlight.

Mr Woldbye, who attracted criticism for claiming the airport had "come back quite fast", said he was "happy" to answer to the prime minister.

Questioned on whether she remained confident in the decision making of Heathrow's management on BBC Breakfast, Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander noted that the airport "is a private company".

She added: "The individuals who need to ask themselves whether they have full confidence in Heathrow management are the Heathrow board."

More than 63,000 homes also lost power in the outage caused by the fire, according to energy supplier Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks. About 150 people were evacuated from properties surrounding the substation.

Substations, operated by National Grid, are designed to produce, convert, and distribute electricity at suitable voltage levels. Heathrow uses three electricity substations, each with a back-up.

However, the fire put both the substation and its back-up out of action. Heathrow's emergency back-up generation functioned normally.

The government has ordered a six-week investigation into the shutdown that resulted from the fire, led by the National Energy System Operator (Neso).

Alexander said she was not going to "prejudge" the Neso report, the initial findings of which are expected in May, nor Heathrow's internal investigation.

She said that she had asked to take a "very close look" at Heathrow's report, which will be undertaken by former Transport Secretary Ruth Kelly.

"Any steps that need to be taken to protect our critical national infrastructure will be taken if those reports recommend particular courses of action," she added.

Simon Gallagher, managing director of UK Network Services, a consultancy specialising in power grids, said every airport in the UK had the same "vulnerability" to National Grid faults.

He said that a data centre near Heathrow entirely backs up its power sourcing, and that it was a "fair question to ask" why the airport had not been protected in the same way.

"It's a hard argument to make to say that data centres are more important than Heathrow," Mr Gallagher told BBC Radio 4's Today programme.

Abstract

A problem with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is that due to the poor penetrating action of electromagnetic waves inside solid bodies, the capability to observe inside distributed targets is precluded. Under these conditions, imaging action is provided only on the surface of distributed targets. The present work describes an imaging method based on the analysis of micro-movements on the Khnum-Khufu Pyramid, which are usually generated by background seismic waves. The obtained results prove to be very promising, as high-resolution full 3D tomographic imaging of the pyramid’s interior and subsurface was achieved. Khnum-Khufu becomes transparent when observed in the micro-movement domain. Based on this novelty, we have completely reconstructed internal objects, observing and measuring structures that have never been discovered before. The experimental results are estimated by processing series of SAR images from the second-generation Italian COSMO-SkyMed satellite system, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Preventing Abuses of the Legal System and the Federal Court

Unfortunately, far too many attorneys and law firms have long ignored these requirements when litigating against the Federal Government or in pursuing baseless partisan attacks. To address these concerns, I hereby direct the Attorney General to seek sanctions against attorneys and law firms who engage in frivolous, unreasonable, and vexatious litigation against the United States or in matters before executive departments and agencies of the United States.

I further direct the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security to prioritize enforcement of their respective regulations governing attorney conduct and discipline. See, e.g., 8 C.F.R. 292.1 et seq.; 8 C.F.R. 1003.101 et seq.; 8 C.F.R. 1292.19.

I further direct the Attorney General to take all appropriate action to refer for disciplinary action any attorney whose conduct in Federal court or before any component of the Federal Government appears to violate professional conduct rules, including rules governing meritorious claims and contentions, and particularly in cases that implicate national security, homeland security, public safety, or election integrity. In complying with this directive, the Attorney General shall consider the ethical duties that law partners have when supervising junior attorneys, including imputing the ethical misconduct of junior attorneys to partners or the law firm when appropriate.

I further direct that, when the Attorney General determines that conduct by an attorney or law firm in litigation against the Federal Government warrants seeking sanctions or other disciplinary action, the Attorney General shall, in consultation with any relevant senior executive official, recommend to the President, through the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy, additional steps that may be taken, including reassessment of security clearances held by the attorney or termination of any Federal contract for which the relevant attorney or law firm has been hired to perform services.

I further direct the Attorney General, in consultation with any relevant senior executive official, to review conduct by attorneys or their law firms in litigation against the Federal Government over the last 8 years. If the Attorney General identifies misconduct that may warrant additional action, such as filing frivolous litigation or engaging in fraudulent practices, the Attorney General is directed to recommend to the President, through the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy, additional steps that may be taken, including reassessment of security clearances held by the attorney, termination of any contract for which the relevant attorney or law firm has been hired to perform services, or any other appropriate actions.

Law firms and individual attorneys have a great power, and obligation, to serve the rule of law, justice, and order. The Attorney General, alongside the Counsel to the President, shall report to the President periodically on improvements by firms to capture this hopeful vision.

Adrian Smith featured in a livestream by self-proclaimed “child protection service” groups. The 48-year-old, from Chipping Sodbury, south Gloucestershire, was arrested by Avon and Somerset Police on the evening of February 21 and released from custody the following day. Avon Coroners’ Court heard Mr Smith was found dead under a bridge between junction 20 and 21 of the M4 motorway at 6.52pm of February 22.

Police previously said Mr Smith was seen falling from a height onto the carriageway at about 6.40pm before being struck by vehicles. Coroner’s officer Alexis Camp told an inquest opening that Mr Smith, a married man, was identified by his fingerprints. She said a post-mortem examination gave his cause of death as multiple injuries.

Ms Camp added: “I understand there are no family concerns.” Statements will be taken from Mr Smith’s doctor, his family and witnesses, with a full post-mortem report prepared for his full inquest hearing. Maria Voisin, senior coroner for Avon, provisionally listed Mr Smith’s inquest on June 11.

Following Mr Smith’s death, the groups involved in the livestream video called for people to “allow his family to grieve in a respectful manner”. Saying they would take down the original video showing Smith, they added: "We will be taking the live video down from our page now and ask that everyone can allow his family to grieve in a respectful manner."

The deportations being implemented by the Trump administration face a legal conflict between the Bill of Rights and the Alien and Enemies Act, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told "Face the Nation" on Sunday.

Margaret Brennan asked Paul if illegal Venezuelan migrants had been wrongfully deported to El Salvador's mega prison, whether for being male or not being "gang members."

"There are some big legal questions here," the senator replied. "On the one hand, the Bill of Rights applies to everyone — to persons. The Bill of Rights doesn't specifically designate citizens. It's really anyone in the United States the Bill of Rights applies to. On the other hand, the Alien and Enemies Act simply says, you really don't get much process. The president can simply declare that you are somehow a problem for foreign policy and opposed to our foreign policy, and you can be deported. So really, ultimately, this goes to the court, and then the court is going to have to decide, are they going to declare unconstitutional a law that's been around for a couple hundred years, or are they going to defer to Congress?"

On March 15, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg ordered a halt of deportations.

The senator added he believes the "Supreme Court" is going "uphold the Alien and Enemies Act."

"It's not necessarily my position," he continued, "but I think the court will uphold it. So it's at least debatable on both sides, who's right or who's wrong here. And I think it's not correct for Democrats to simply say, 'Oh, it's constitutional chaos. There's no leg to stand on.' There actually is legal authority. On the one hand," the Alien Enemies Act has "been around for over 200 years."

Brennan pressed during the interview if illegal migrants had been wrongfully sent to El Salvador's prison, going on to add after Paul responded, "So, yes, you are comfortable with it?"

"So no, I – well, I think you're answering for me," Paul replied. "I think there is going to be some process afforded by the courts for representation before you're deported in most cases. I don't know about the ones under the Alien and Enemies Act, and I'm not sure anybody knows that. And while I love constitutional law, I'm not a constitutional lawyer."

"I do think" this legal question "goes to the Supreme Court. And there are arguments to be made on both sides of this question," he concluded.

“Utah has been fighting for more control over its land for a long time,” Kish said. “The ability to have more control over federal lands and more say-so over what happens on federal lands within its reach would lead [states] to a different conclusion. I think ultimately states would see it in the benefit to have a stake in ownership or partial ownership or more of a say in how their lands are managed.”

The task force’s housing plans stem from the groundwork of Lee’s Helping Open Underutilized Space to Ensure Shelter (HOUSES) Act which was introduced in the Senate in 2023. The act is cosponsored by Republican Sens. Cynthia Lummis and John Barrasso of Wyoming and Dan Sullivan of Alaska — who each represent states with large concentrations of federally owned land that could be used to provide housing.

“The DOI and HUD initiative is very similar to Senator Lee’s HOUSES Act, which would enable states and localities to purchase unused federal land near existing communities — not national parks or other protected areas — for the purpose of building single-family homes to alleviate the housing crisis,” a spokesperson for Lee told the DCNF. “Senator Lee is looking forward to working with the Trump administration to tackle this important issue together.”

Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott has also worked alongside Turner on housing policy through the Renewing Opportunity in the American Dream (ROAD) to Housing Actintroduced in the fall of 2024. The bill aims to reform all sectors of the housing market, help increase the supply of affordable housing, and improve quality of life for families by providing economic opportunity in communities across the nation– goals shared by Turner and the Joint Task Force on Federal Land for Housing.

“Homeownership is key to the American Dream, which is why I’ve continued to work on solutions to put more Americans on the path towards homeownership,” Scott said in a statement shared with the DCNF. “The Joint Task Force on Federal Land for Housing will be critical in our efforts to boost the supply of affordable housing, and I look forward to working with both Secretary Turner and Secretary Burgum to enact policiesthat advance our shared goal of cutting red tape and ensuring federal housing programs work for the American people.”

“It is our desire that we can build as many homes as possible — quality living spaces of all kinds for the American people,” Turner toldthe DCNF in January.A representative for Turner went on to say, “He is the person we need to reform failed federal housing policies, cut red tape, and find innovative solutions to expand access to quality, affordable housing.”

When reached for comment by the DCNF, a spokesperson for HUD stated they were unable to provide further details on the task force at this time. The Department of Interior did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

DNA testing site 23andMe files for bankruptcy protection

Popular DNA testing firm 23andMe has filed for bankruptcy protection, and announced that its co-founder and CEO, Anne Wojcicki, has resigned with immediate effect.

The company will now attempt to sell itself under the supervision of a court.

23andMe said in a press release that it plans to continue operating throughout the sale process and that there "are no changes to the way the company stores, manages, or protects customer data."

On Friday, the Attorney General in 23andMe's home state of California issued a consumer alert advising customers to delete their data from the site given the company's "reported financial distress."

23andMe's saliva-based test kits were once celebrated among customers and investors, who helped to push the company's value as high as $6bn (£4.6bn).

But it has been struggling for survival.

Founded in 2006, the company went public in 2021 but has never turned a profit.

In September, the firm settled a lawsuit alleging that it failed to protect the privacy of nearly seven million customers whose personal information was exposed in a 2023 data breach.

In some cases, hackers gained access to family trees, birth years and geographic locations, by using customers' old passwords. The data stolen did not include DNA records, according to the company.

Two months after the settlement, it cut 200 employees, amounting to 40% of its workforce.

23andMe said its finance chief, Joe Selsavage, will take over as interim chief executive.

Ms Wojcicki will continue to serve as a member of the board.

She had tried to take the company private but was not open to a third-party takeover.

23andMe - which once had high-profile endorsements from the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Eva Longoria, and Snoop Dogg - struggled to redefine its business model.

Customers did not have much to return for once they had paid for a DNA report, and an effort to launch a subscription service proved unsuccessful.

Efforts to use its massive trove of data to move into drug development also faltered.

All of the company's directors, except for Ms Wojcicki resigned last summer, saying in a letter they were quitting after not receiving a satisfactory buyout offer from her.

Questions around DNA

In its statement on Sunday, 23AndMe's board chair Mark Jensen said the company is "committed to continuing to safeguard customer data and being transparent about the management of user data going forward".

He said it would be "an important consideration in any potential transaction".

But this may not ease concerns of some users about what happens to the DNA they shared with the company.

In the UK, it is considered special category data under data protection laws.

This provides legal protections if a firm goes bust or changes hands.

When a DNA testing company called Atlas Biomed appeared to have ceased trading last year, some customers were left with more questions than answers about what it meant for them.

Prof Carissa Veliz - author of Privacy is Power - previously told the BBC it is arguably the most valuable personal data you have.

"If you gave your data to 23andMe, you also gave the genetic data of your parents, your siblings, your children, and even distant kin who did not consent to that," she said.

Maritime Administration (MARAD), a subagency of the U.S. Department of Transportation, issued a license Friday authorizing Delfin LNG toconstruct a floating liquefied natural gas export terminal approximately 50 miles off the coast of Louisiana.

The facility will connect four floating LNG units to existing onshore pipelines, according to Natural Gas Intelligence, and transport the gas to the global market from U.S. federal waters.

According to a letter sent in September from the government watchdog group Protect the Public’s Trust to the inspector general of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), the first Trump administration had issued a record of decisions conditionally approving the project in 2017, but it had not yet granted it a license.The congressionally mandated timeline to approve or deny a license was 356 days, but MARAD delayed it seven years.

Elon Musk is used to being vilified by the left, particularly since he was tasked by President Donald Trump to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in trimming the waste, fraud and abuse that has bloated federal government.

Now, one section of the citizenry is actually asking him to push harder:Second Amendment advocates are asking him to block taxpayer-funded health agencies from spending millions on gun control research.

There has been legislation called the Dickey Amendment on the books since 1997 that provides a clear pathway for DOGE to remove tens of millions of dollars spent by agencies like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on gun control research and grants. That law had been followed until 2018, when Congress “clarified” the rider. Resulting in something closer to rescission than clarification, in 2020, the federal omnibus spending bill presented to President Biden earmarked the first funding for such expenditures since 1996.

Dickey Amendment revival stalled

Last year, Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks, R-Iowa, revived efforts to stop such research through an amendment to the appropriations package for the Labor, Human Services, and Education departments. It specifically stipulated that “none of the funds made available by this Act may be used by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to conduct or support any firearm injury and mortality prevention research.” Miller-Meeks is a longtime supporter of Second Amendment rights.

“As a physician and former Director of Public Health in Iowa,I believe that our leading public health agency should be focusing on researching and preventing communicable diseases, which was what the CDC was originally created to do – not prioritizing gun control,” she posted to ‘X’ ahead of the November 15 vote.

It passed in the House of Representatives 216-211.However, it stalled in the Senate and was never signed into law by then-President Joe Biden.

Taking guns from Grandpa

Now, Gun Owners of America (GOA) one of the nation’s largest gun rights groups, is pushing for the CDC’s gun research department to get the DOGE treatment. GOA Executive Vice President Erich Pratt spoke to Just The News about the funding, including taxpayer money used to study the effectiveness of gun confiscation of all ages and also researching a sundown age for seniors to relinquish personal firearms. “That right there is tilted towards the left…money to study the benefits of expanded background checks and registration, the best age to set a second amendment retirement age for senior citizens,” he continued.

“You know, last I checked, there wasn't a retirement clause on any of the Bill of Rights. But this is what they want to do. They fund these studies to say, okay, you might retire at age 65 but, at age 71, take guns from grandpa.”

Research grants currently active within CDC include $3.6 million for ‘firearm retirement’ for senior citizens, $1.2 million for ‘check-ins’ on ‘guns at home,’ $2.1 million to study ‘firearm possession’ by Asian Americans, $126,000 on ‘Black Americans’ elevated gun violence exposure,’ $490,000 on ‘comparing states gun policies,’ $349,000 on ‘showing if firearm law reduces mortality,’ and $518,000 on ‘firearm storage & confiscation laws.’

Musk and the Second Amendment

With a self-deletion date set at the country’s semi sesquicentennial next July, DOGE has roughly 470 days to deliver on its promise to drastically reduced the amount of waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government. The current tally is now at $115 billion, according to the DOGE tracker website.

While neither DOGE nor Musk have made announcements concerning the CDC's gun-control spending, it's possible that Second Amendment advocates will find a sympathetic ear at DOGE. The National Rifle Association (NRA), through its house organ "America's First Freedom" produced a wish list for DOGE that asks them to advise President Trump to sign an executive action stating that the ATF cannot attempt to rewrite gun-control law and to restrict the ATF to "treat the lawfully armed public like the law-abiding citizens they are."

The NRA also said that the Biden administration "blamed gun stores for being responsible for rising crime rates, even though the ATF’s own statistics shows this not to be the case." Suggesting several cuts in specific, the 5 million member 501(c)4 asks DOGE to disband the White House “Office of Gun Violence Prevention;” dismantle the Department of Justice’s “red-flag” law clearinghouse; end what they call "government funding of bogus gun-control advocacy posing as research;” and they recommend revoking the Biden administration’s export licensing crackdown on American gun companies through the U.S. Commerce Department.

Although DOGE has not set its sights on any gun-control related waste or abuse at least publicly Musk has not been shy about expressing his support for the right to bear arms. On the 2024 campaign trial on behalf of President Trump, Musk responded to Vice President Kamala Harris' suggested mandatory gun buyback program by saying "The right to bear arms is there to protect free speech and stop a tyrannical government from taking your rights away! That’s why the first thing that all tyrants do is disarm the people, just like Chavez did when he was first elected. After that, no more real elections in Venezuela."

Even in his support for gun ownership, Musk has proven yet again to be something of a contrarian. In 2022, Musk told CNBC in that "I strongly believe that the right to bear arms is an important safeguard against potential tyranny of government. Historically, maintaining their power over the people is why those in power did not allow public ownership of guns." In the same interview, Musk also underscored his support for “tight background checks” for all gun sales and limiting sales of assault weapons to people in special circumstances, like gun range owners, or people who live in a “high risk location, like gang warfare.
