The US Navy Judge Advocate Corps on Friday secured a conviction against former federal judge James Boasberg, the treasonous wretch who enjoined President Donald J. Trump to stop deporting illegal aliens in March of this year.

As reported previously, JAG investigators arrested Boasberg in mid-March outside a posh D.C. restaurant, after showing him an arrest warrant alleging that he had, at Obama’s suggestion, signed two unconstitutional rulings aimed at preventing the president from deporting MS-13 and Tren de Aragua gang members. An Obama appointee, Boasberg was among a bevy of activist judges investigated for treason as Trump ramped up deportation efforts to protect Americans and their jobs from the 20 million illegals that entered the country throughout the Biden regime’s hostile takeover of the federal government.

Boasberg was taken to JAG’s Pensacola processing center, where he, like most Deep Staters, claimed he was innocent and refused to answer questions. A magistrate found probable cause to detain him pending a military tribunal and ordered that he be put on the next available flight to Guantanamo Bay. There, he had been housed at Camp Delta (JAG had considered depositing him among the 176 illegal aliens detained at GITMO earlier this year) until summoned Friday morning to stand trial.

He sat alone at the defense table, flanked by guards.

Rear Admiral Lia Reynolds, the acting Judge Advocate General, said, “Mr. Boasberg, you’ve refused counsel, is that right? It’s your intent to represent yourself?”

Boasberg frowned. “I am not representing anything, including myself; I don’t acknowledge the legality of your court, and I’m a target of political persecution. I’m a federal judge. If I needed a lawyer, I’d be my own. I have nothing but contempt for you.”

“Perhaps you’re unaware of two time-tested sayings: A man who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client, and, if you’re guilty, you needed a lawyer, and if innocent, you really need a lawyer,” the admiral said.

She addressed the panelists JAG had chosen to decide Boasberg’s fate, asserting that he (a) knew that his injunctions were unconstitutional prior to authoring them, (b) was influenced by Barack Hussein Obama, and (c) conspired with other activist judges to impede the president’s deportation agenda.

The admiral showed the panel text messages JAG had retrieved from Boasberg’s phone. On March 13, two days before issuing injunctions blocking Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act, Boasberg texted 27 federal judges—most Obama or Clinton appointees—in nine states, urging them to exercise their judicial authority to stymie Trump’s deportations. Replies came fast and furious: “How is this legal?” “Can we do that?” “Is it legal?”

Boasberg responded, “We’ll make it legal,” implying he knew it wasn’t.

Nonetheless, on March 15, Boasberg temporarily blocked the president’s use of law, as two planeloads of violent gangsters were en route from the United States to El Salvador. He demanded that the Trump administration order the flights to turn around, land back in the US, and release the detainees. But the planes were already in international airspace, over which Boasberg had no authority. When they landed in El Salvador hours later, Boasberg threatened to hold the Trump administration in contempt. He had also sent to his fellow radical judges a message expressing his outrage. “Can you believe this? We must stop him. No one else will! If Trump bends the law, so can we. We decide what the law is, not Trump!”

Not all of his compatriots were committed to his seemingly rebellious plot. “We dare not go against Trump,” “Let’s just bide our time,” “There’s a time and a place for everything, and this isn’t the time or place,” were some replies to his message.

Their replies didn’t calm Boasberg’s rage. “I’ve talked to Barack. None of us would be where we are if it weren’t for Barack or Bill. We owe it to them. Barack told me we must be united in this to stop deportations. We can’t just sit back and interpret law; that time’s gone.”

Admiral Reynolds asked Boasberg if the text messages he had sent accurately reflected his view of the law. He did not answer.

She asked the panel whether Boasberg was guilty of treason, and they, without hesitation or deliberation, delivered a verdict of “guilty” and recommended capital punishment.

Boasberg jumped to his feet and said he wished to appeal the verdict.

Admiral Reynolds was shaking her head. “You’re a detainee convicted of treason; you have no right to appeal.”

She scheduled Boasberg to hang to death on July 17.

NASA Astronaut Shannon Walker Retires

NASA astronaut Shannon Walker retired July 10, concluding a career that spanned 38 years, including 30 years of federal service and more than 21 years as an astronaut.

During two spaceflights, she spent 330 days in orbit, contributing to hundreds of scientific experiments and technology demonstrations for the benefit of humanity.

Walker served as a mission specialist during NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 mission to the International Space Station in 2020, the first crewed operational Dragon spacecraft flight. She also was the first woman to fly aboard a Dragon spacecraft.

Once aboard the orbiting laboratory, Walker joined the Expedition 64/65 crew and briefly commanded Expedition 65, logging 167 days in space before returning to Earth in May 2021.

She spent 163 days in space during her first spaceflight in 2010 as a member of the space station’s Expedition 24/25 crew. She was the pilot of the Soyuz TMA-19, which became the first crew to dock with the station’s Rassvet module.

“Shannon’s dedication to human space exploration has left an incredible impact, not just here in Houston, but across the industry,” said Steve Koerner, acting director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

“Her leadership and guidance will be missed immensely, but she leaves behind a legacy of excellence that will continue to inspire the next generation of explorers for decades to come.”

Most recently, Walker served as the deputy chief of the Astronaut Office. She also oversaw the 2021 class of astronaut candidates, supervising their training and graduation in 2024.

“Shannon and I were a part of the same astronaut class back when we first started,” said Joe Acaba, chief of the Astronaut Office at NASA Johnson.

“She has been a great friend to me ever since and a great leader within the Astronaut Office. I could not imagine a better partner by my side when, nearly 20 years later, we’d become chief and deputy chief.

She has undoubtedly been a positive influence on this office, and her retirement is well-deserved.”

Walker began her career as a flight controller in the Mission Control Center at NASA Johnson, supporting several shuttle missions.

She next worked in the International Space Station Program Office, helping to develop, build, and integrate hardware for the space station.

In the early days of the space station, she returned to mission control, leading the engineering team responsible for the space station’s technical health.

She was selected as an astronaut in 2004. After completing her initial two years of training, she served as a crew support astronaut and worked as a capsule communicator, or capcom.

She also held leadership positions within the several branches of the Astronaut Office focused on International Space Station operations, crew Soyuz missions, and supporting astronauts with flight assignments.

She also commanded the NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations project, or NEEMO 15 underwater mission.

“I had always known I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up, but looking back on the past 38 years, I never would have imagined how many adventures my career would take me on,” said Walker.

“I feel fortunate to have been able to work with people all over the world in the pursuit of space exploration.

I have seen a lot of change in the evolution of human spaceflight, and I know the future is in good hands with all the talented people we have here and the generations yet to come.”

The Houston native attended Rice University in her hometown, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in physics, followed by a master’s degree and doctorate in space physics.

Sixty years ago, NASA’s Mariner 4 captured groundbreaking views of the Red Planet, leading to a steady stream of advances in the cameras used to study other worlds.

In 1965, NASA’s Mariner 4 mission brought Mars into American living rooms, where TV sets showed fuzzy black-and-white images of a cratered landscape.

The spacecraft took 21 complete pictures — the first ever captured of another planet — as it flew by as close as 6,118 miles (9,846 kilometers) above the surface.

The mission team couldn’t wait to see what the camera aboard the spacecraft would return. When the actual images were delayed, they went so far as to create a color-by-numbers image, assigning hues to specific values in the data.

Their handiwork wasn’t far off, and the barren landscape Mariner 4 captured ignited the imaginations of future scientists and engineers who would go on to work on a succession of missions, each revealing Mars in a way it had never been seen before.

Millions of Mars images have been taken since then, many of which are captivating in their own way. The images that follow highlight some of the “firsts” in the way the agency has used imaging to help unlock the secrets of Mars.

- Viking 1 Sets Foot on Mars July 20, 1976

Viking 1 became the first spacecraft to touch down on Mars on July 20, 1976. The first high-resolution image it sent to Earth captured a dry, rocky landscape that dashed any hope among scientists of discovering life on the surface.

But the crisp images that followed from the lander’s 360-degree cylindrical scan camera underscored the scientific value of seeing Mars from the ground and generated excitement for a more ambitious visit: a robotic spacecraft that could drive across this alien world.

Putting the X-59 to the Test

Researchers from NASA and the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) recently tested a scale model of the X-59 experimental aircraft in a supersonic wind tunnel located in Chofu, Japan, to assess the noise audible underneath the aircraft.

The model can be seen in the wind tunnel in this image released on July 11, 2025.

The test was an important milestone for NASA’s one-of-a-kind X-59, which is designed to fly faster than the speed of sound without causing a loud sonic boom.

When the X-59 flies, sound underneath it – a result of its pressure signature – will be a critical factor for what people hear on the ground.

This marked the third round of wind tunnel tests for the X-59 model, following a previous test at JAXA and at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

The data will help researchers understand the noise level that will be created by the shock waves the X-59 produces at supersonic speeds.

CIA’s Ratcliffe sent a criminal referral on John Brennan to the FBI for investigation July 10, 2025 1/3

CIA Director John Ratcliffe sent a referral to FBI Director Kash Patel related to possible criminality by ex-CIA chief John Brennan, a source on Wednesday told Just the News, following a review by the CIA that critiqued the actions taken by Brennan related to the Russiagate scandal.

The source familiar with Ratcliffe’s actions said the CIA director referred elements of Brennan’s actions to the FBI for an investigation into potential criminality.

The source, who asked to remain anonymous to discuss the sensitive matter, did not provide specificity on which activities Brennan had undertaken which Ratcliffe believed could be criminal.

Last week, Ratcliffe released a "lessons learned" review of the December 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment.

The review sharply criticized Brennan for allegedly joining with anti-Trump forces in the FBI in allegedly pushing to include British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s baseless anti-Trump dossier in the assessment. In the review, the CIA also critiqued the “high confidence” assessment by the FBI and the CIA that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had “aspired” to help President Donald Trump win in 2016.

It was originally revealed by Fox News on Tuesday that the FBI had reportedly openedinvestigations into Brennan and fired agency Director James Comey, according to anonymous Justice Department sources cited by the outlet.

The sources told Fox Newsthat Patel opened an investigation into Brennan after receiving the criminal referral from Ratcliffe. The source told the outlet that Brennan had "violated the public’s trust and should be held accountable for it."

As for Comey,DOJ sources reportedly told Fox News that an investigation into the former FBI director is underway, but could not share details ofwhat specifically is being probed. It is not clear what Comey is being investigated for, but two sources told the outlet that theFBI views the interactions between Brennan and Comey as a possible "conspiracy."

Ratcliffe tweeted last week, in announcing the CIA review being made public, that Trump “has trusted me with helping to end weaponization of U.S. intelligence” and that the report “underscores that the 2016 IC Assessment was conducted through an atypical & corrupt process under the politically charged environments” of Brennan and Comey.

A spokesperson for the DOJ told Just the News on Wednesday that “we do not comment on ongoing investigations.”

Brennan was not one of the recipients of then-President Joe Biden's thousands of pardons and grants of clemency, and lying to Congress can be a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. § 1001, which forbids making false statements to the federal government, including Congress.

The statute of limitations of five years starts to run when the crime is completed, which is when the false statement is made or the false document is submitted. Thus, any alleged false statements Brennan may have made five years ago or more would not be prosecutable.

Nonetheless,Brennan spoke with special counsel John Durham in August 2020 and testified before the House Judiciary Committee in May 2023, which could put him in the crosshairs of law enforcement action until August of this year or until May 2028, respectively.

The largely declassified eight-page “lessons learned” CIA review from last week focused on the ICA about Russia and the November 2016 election. It was put together by the CIA's Directorate of Analysis (DA) at Ratcliffe’s direction and concluded that “the decision by agency heads to include the Steele Dossier in the ICA ran counter to fundamental tradecraft principles and ultimately undermined the credibility of a key judgment.”

Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe pushed in December 2016 to include Steele's debunked dossier in the body of the 2016 ICA on alleged Russian meddling. The dossier was included in a classified annex to the assessment with the agreement of Brennan and Comey.

The new CIA review stated that “the ICA authors and multiple senior CIA managers – including the two senior leaders of the CIA mission center responsible for Russia – strongly opposed including the dossier, asserting that it did not meet even the most basic tradecraft standards.”

The agency review memo also stated that the CIA’s Deputy Director for Analysis warned in a December 29, 2016 email to Brennan that including the dossier in any form risked “the credibility of the entire paper.”

The review by the CIA also revealed that “despite these objections, Brennan showed a preference for narrative consistency over analytical soundness” and that “when confronted with specific flaws in the Dossier by the two mission center leaders – one with extensive operational experience and the other with a strong analytic background – he appeared more swayed by the Dossier's general conformity with existing theories than by legitimate tradecraft concerns.”

The CIA review memo stated that Brennan ultimately formalized his position in writing, arguing that “my bottomline is that I believe that the information warrants inclusion in the report.”

The new CIA memo also stated that “ultimately, agency heads decided to include a two-page summary of the dossier as an annex to the ICA” with an accompanying disclaimer stating that the dossier material was not used “to reach the analytic conclusions.”

The CIA review memo, however, found that “by placing a reference to the annex material in the main body of the ICA as the fourth supporting bullet for the judgment that Putin ‘aspired’ to help Trump win, the ICA implicitly elevated unsubstantiated claims to the status of credible supporting evidence, compromising the analytical integrity of the judgment.”

Brennan told MSNBC on Wednesday that “I know nothing about this reported investigation or referral to the DOJ” and that “nobody from the FBI or Department of Justice or CIA has reached out to me at all.” He said that "I am clueless about what it is exactly that they may be investigating me for."

The former CIA director said that “I’m very proud of the work that the women and men of the CIA and of the other elements of the intelligence community did … when they put together this intelligence community assessment.”

Brennan called the Ratcliffe CIA’s actions “unfortunately a very sad and tragic example of the continued politicization of the intelligence community.”

Brennan had testified before the House Judiciary Committee in May 2023, where he was mostly questioned about his role as one of the 51 former intelligence officials who signed the infamous Hunter Biden laptop letter in October 2020. But during the questioning – mostly when it was the turn of former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) – Brennan was forced to talk about the ICA and the Steele Dossier.

The former CIA chief claimed that “I was not involved in analyzing the dossier at all. I said the first time I actually saw it, it was after the election. And the CIA was not involved at all with the dossier. You can direct that to the FBI and to others.”

Brennan said he was aware of the FBI’s involvement with the Steele dossier “because there's an annex in the ICA, the Intelligence Community Assessment, that the Bureau asked to be included in there. It was their purview, their area, not ours at all.”

“I received a copy of it from the FBI when they were wanting to have a summary of that document put into the — or, attached to the Intelligence Community Assessment that was done. … And the CIA was very much opposed to having any reference or inclusion of the Steele dossier in the Intelligence Community Assessment,” Brennan said. “And so they sent over a copy of the dossier to say that this was going to be separate from the rest of that assessment. And that's when the CIA was given formal access to it.”

The former CIA director said “no” when asked if he edited the ICA, and said “yes” when asked if he was aware of dissenting opinions about the conclusions of the ICA.

“There were individuals who had read the document within CIA who were not involved in the drafting or the analysis [who disagreed with the ICA conclusions],” Brennan said. “And so I listened to some of their concerns, but I deferred to the experts: the Russian, the counterintelligence, the cyber experts, and the analysts who actually drafted this. And so I did not overturn or change any of the judgments and language in that document.”

​​It is unclear what Brennan may have told Durham about his role with the ICA and the Steele dossier, because the transcript of Brennan’s August 2020 interview with Durham's special counsel team has not been made public. It is apparent that these topics came up during Brennan’s interview with Durham, despite quotes from that portion of Brennan’s interview not making it into the Durham report.

Nick Shapiro, Brennan’s former deputy chief of staff and senior adviser, said shortly after Brennan spoke with Durham in August 2020 that Brennan and Durham met at CIA headquarters and that the former CIA director “welcomed the opportunity to answer Mr. Durham’s questions related to a wide range of intelligence-related activities undertaken by CIA before the 2016 presidential election as well as the Intelligence Community Assessment published in early January 2017.”

Shapiro said that Durham had informed Brennan that “he is not a subject or a target of a criminal investigation, and that he is only a witness to events that are under review.”

Brennan also went on MSNBC in September 2020 where he said of the Durham team that “I think they were testing various theories that they had heard and were asking for my views as well as my recollections on things. But it was handled in a very professional manner.”

Most of the references to Brennan in the Durham report are in reference to what Durham dubbed the “Clinton Plan intelligence” – although there are exceptions. Durham noted that, when interviewing Brennan about special counsel Robert Mueller declaring a lack of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, Brennan offered that "they found no conspiracy."

Despite this admission, the Durham report then noted Brennan's contrary statements published less than a week before his interview with Durham.Brennan had written a New York Times opinion piece titled “John Brennan: President Trump’s Claims of No Collusion Are Hogwash” where Brennan wrote that “Russian denials are, in a word, hogwash. … Mr. Trump’s claims of no collusion are, in a word, hogwash.”

The rest of the Durham report’s mentions of Brennan largely centered on the Clinton Plan intelligence. Durham wrote that, when interviewed, “Brennan generally recalled reviewing the materials but stated he did not recall focusing specifically on its assertions regarding the Clinton campaign's purported plan. Brennan recalled instead focusing on Russia's role in hacking the DNC.”

Durham said Brennan's handwritten notes – declassified by Ratcliffe when he was the director of national intelligence in 2020 – reflect that Brennan briefed Comey, then-President Barack Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden, and others in early August 2016 regarding the "alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on 26 July of a proposal from one of her [campaign] advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services."

Brennan had repeated his claims about the ICA and the Steele dossier when speaking to Congress more than five years ago, but that testimony would likely fall outside the five-year statute of limitations on lying to Congress.

Ax-4 Go for Monday Undocking, Finalizing Research

Mission managers have given the “go” for the Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) crew to board the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft and undock from the International Space Station’s space-facing port on the Harmony module at 7:05 a.m. EDT on Monday, July 14.

Ax-4 Commander Peggy Whitson will lead Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla, and Mission Specialists Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, and Tibor Kapu back to Earth completing a two-and-a-half-week research mission aboard the orbiting lab.

The Ax-4 private quartet had a full schedule on Friday first collecting blood samples for analysis as part of its biomedical research.

Next, microalgae was studied as a food source for crews and a key part of biological life support systems on spacecraft. Nanomaterials were also investigated as a basis for constructing wearable devices that comfortably monitor crew health.

Ax-4 will go into Saturday finalizing science experiments including an electrical muscle stimulation study, testing suit fabrics that promote thermal comfort while exercising, and filming crew activities for a behavioral health study.

On Sunday, they will begin packing science gear filled with research samples and loading personal items and other cargo inside Dragon for retrieval on Earth.

Station Flight Engineer Anne McClain from NASA began helping the Ax-4 crew turn its attention to Monday’s undocking gathering hardware and other items for packing inside Dragon.

McClain also continued assisting the private crewmates as they kept up their science investigations using space station resources.

NASA Flight Engineer Nichole Ayers began her day in the Columbus laboratory module also assisting the Ax-4 crew spinning the astronaut’s blood samples in a centrifuge and stowing them in a science freezer for preservation.

She later worked inside the Quest airlock transferring water in a pair of spacesuits. NASA Flight Engineer Jonny Kim assisted Ayers with the blood sample processing then spent the rest of his day inspecting electronics gear and swapping computer cables.

Station Commander Takuya Onishi of JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) started his day processing saliva samples for analysis then recording his sleep experience for a computer questionnaire.

He later worked in the Tranquility module replacing orbital plumbing hardware before deactivating and stowing a microscope in the Kibo laboratory module.

Roscosmos Flight Engineers Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritskiy took turns pedaling on an exercise cycle while wearing electrodes for a physical fitness evaluation.

Researchers will use the data to understand the energy requirements crew members need for strenuous activities such as spacewalks.

Fight Engineer Kirill Peskov replaced fire extinguishers in the Poisk, Rassvet, and Zvezda modules then checked computer hardware that supports the European robotic arm.

This company could save NASA’s doomed Martian Sample Return mission

Lockheed Martin is trying to position itself as a savior for many NASA missions currently facing the chopping block at the hands of the Trump administration.

The administration has already detailed massive budget cuts to NASA, which could include a complete shutdown of the Mars Sample Return mission, which Perseverance has been working on for the past several years.

However, Lockheed Martin — yes, the same company known for its extensive role in America’s defense system — has come up with a fixed budget plan to save the Sample Return mission and bring back the collections Perseverance has already made.

Over the years, NASA has struggled to bring its plans for Mars exploration to life. While the Mars Sample Return mission was a great idea, its actual execution has been less than smooth, with the budget often skyrocketing above the original numbers NASA provided years ago when it started operating on the mission.

The numbers have changed so much, in fact, that even before the Trump administration’s shocking budget cuts, NASA was already looking at possibly canceling the MSR or finding cheaper alternatives.

Thankfully, those cuts seem to have been relinquished for now, but it doesn’t mean NASA is out of the fire just yet.

But Lockheed Martin’s plan could make that unnecessary.

According to a detailed post and video shared to Lockheed Martin’s website, the company has come up with at least one way it could utilize existing services and vehicles to complete NASA’s expensive Mars Sample Return mission.

Further, the company says it would be able to pull it off for $3 billion, less than half NASA’s current $7 billion projection.

If true, it could give NASA the extra hand that it needs to get the Mars Sample Return mission back on track.

While Trump and others have put a renewed focus on actually getting humans to Mars, being able to understand the Red Planet better will be key to surviving there and creating a human colony that can thrive.

That’s why these samples are so important.

They could finally help us answer vital questions about the history of water on Mars, as well as determine the best places to land and colonize the planet.

Of course, NASA and the U.S. government have to say yes to all of that first. But it’s at least a nice plan that the bigwigs out there can mull over in the meantime.

And, with a little luck, we could see the plans to can the Mars Sample Return turned on their head. And that would be a great thing to see.

Whoooooo's there? Just a "Cosmic Owl," the latest strange discovery from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).

A new study using JWST data has helped scientists spot an owl-faced object peering out at us from billions of light-years away.

Formed through the extremely unusual collision of two rare ring galaxies, the structure also serves as a natural laboratory where researchers can study many of the processes accompanying the evolution of galaxies.

Galaxies come in several shapes, from swirling spirals like our home galaxy, the Milky Way, to the cigar-shaped M82. One slightly more peculiar type are ring galaxies, such as Hoag's Object.

These galaxies form when a small galaxy cruises straight through its larger buddy, kicking out stars and gas through shock waves into a ring around a central core.

Ring galaxies are pretty rare, accounting for just 0.01% of all galaxies discovered so far. Even rarer, though, is a pair of ring galaxies detected when colliding — exactly what the "Cosmic Owl" is, as described June 11 in a preprint posted to arXiv.

The paper has yet to be peer-reviewed, but the object has already been confirmed by another team that independently detected the same collision — which they dubbed the "Infinity galaxy" in a paper posted to arXiv June 19.

Mingyu Li, a doctoral student in the Department of Astronomy at Tsinghua University in China and the new study's first author, said he and his co-authors discovered the avian-like astronomical spectacle serendipitously.

"We were analyzing all radio sources using public JWST data in a very well-studied region called the COSMOS field," the largest mosaic of the sky, spanning 2 square degrees, he told Live Science in an email.

Li added that the colliding galaxy pair immediately stood out because of JWST's high-resolution imaging capabilities.

These snapshots revealed that the galaxies are quite similar; apart from being ring galaxies, both are relatively tiny.

Each has a diameter of roughly 26,000 light-years, or about a quarter the diameter of the Milky Way. Additionally, each galaxy's core — which is tightly packed with old stars around a supermassive black hole — forms an eye of the owl.

Fine-scale JWST data shows that both black holes, each more than 10 million times the sun's mass, are furiously pulling in surrounding matter, making the galactic cores "active galactic nuclei."

For NASA astronaut Jonny Kim, one such moment stood out: an evening meal that brought together astronauts from various corners of the world during the Ax-4 mission.

Kim shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter), "One of the most unforgettable evenings I've experienced on this mission was sharing a meal with new friends, Ax-4, aboard the International Space Station."

The occasion was more than just a simple dinner - it was a celebration of human connection, diversity, and cuisine.

Kim added, "We swapped stories and marvelled at how people from diverse backgrounds and nations came together to represent humanity in space."

Despite the many limitations of space food, the team aboard the ISS managed to put together a hearty spread.

The evening began with an appetiser, which included "rehydrated shrimp cocktails and crackers."

While it may not match the presentation of an Earth-bound seafood platter, the dish offered a familiar taste of home and set the tone for the night.

Rehydrated meals are a staple in space dining, where water is added to freeze-dried components to restore texture and flavour. The main course was satisfying.

"Our main course featured savoury chicken and beef fajitas," Kim wrote. And no meal - even one in space - is complete without dessert.

"The cosmonauts capped the night with a delicious cake made from sweet bread, condensed milk, and walnuts," Kim added. Take a look:

This wasn't the first time the ISS crew showcased their culinary creativity. Back in June, Kim shared another post on X, offering a glimpse into a unique celebration in orbit.

When a fellow astronaut confessed to craving sushi, the crew banded together to recreate a version of the Japanese classic using onboard supplies.

"Space sushi" was born - crafted from rice, Spam, fish, gochujang (spicy Korean chilli paste), and a dash of wasabi for an extra kick. Click here to read more.
