a headache is caused by swelling in parts of the brain, investing in, re-freezable peas/corn, to place on back of neck, where blood travels in and out, top of crown of head, or forehead, moving to locations it still may hurt, is suggested. Avoid bright lights and loud noises.
The headache will be gone in about 10-15 minutes, but may have migraine aftermath side effects, without pain, like extreme fatigue, sensitive eyes to light.
No meds ever worked on my childhood migraines, but this did. Former migraine sufferer.
