A wacky ex-Democrat politician suffered a terrifying attack earlier this week in Massachusetts while at his place of employment.
As WCVB reported, surveillance video captured the moment Will Flanagan, a colorful single-term mayor in Fall River, Massachusetts, was found stabbed in the neck by a violent criminal.
The suspect, Corree Gonzales, can be seen running up behind Flanagan before striking him in the head and neck areas.
Flanagan tries to put his hands, but falls to the ground. Gonzales then runs away, leaving the former Democratic politician bleeding on the sidewalk.The incident occurred on Monday at the Cosmopolitan Dispensary, a Fall River marijuana business owned by Flanagan.
Flanagan was rushed to a hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was in serious but stable condition as of Monday evening.
As WCVB notes, the 31-year-old Gonzales was arrested following the attack, but not before he assaulted four police officers. He is now facing multiple charges for attacking the cops, in addition to the attack on Flanagan.
