Deep State Protection Of The Seth Rich Files May Be Ending 1/3

The DOJ and FBI are starting to expose how much the Deep State has wrongly hidden from the public,but they’re still hiding what happened to Seth Rich.

In the predawn darkness of July 10, 2016, 27-year-old Seth Rich was shot twice in the back as he walked home in Washington, D.C.’s Bloomingdale neighborhood. The official story from D.C. Metro Police is that this was a botched robbery. Yet the killers took nothing—no wallet, no watch, no phone. No suspects have ever been arrested, and the case remains unsolved nearly a decade later.

The timing seems too perfect to have been a random crime. Just days after Rich’s murder, WikiLeaks began releasing thousands of DNC emails that exposed the Democrat party rigging its 2016 Democrat primaries against Bernie Sanders and for Hillary Clinton.

The media blamed Russian hackers. The Mueller Report, intelligence community assessments, and CrowdStrike’s quick (but unverified) attribution pushed the foreign-interference line hard. But Julian Assange repeatedly implied that WikiLeaks’ source was not Russian—and forensic analysis suggested a local transfer, such as a thumb drive handoff, not a remote hack. Rich, the DNC’s Voter Expansion Data Director and a vocal Sanders supporter, had motive and access. Was he silenced to protect the emerging Russia collusion hoax?

This case sits at the center of what looks like a RICO-level criminal enterprise: elements of the Deep State—FBI, DOJ, CIA, and allied networks—engaged in fraud, obstruction, election subversion, and worse. I’ve argued that point in articles from 2020 onward, all built on public records, FOIA battles, declassifications, and whistleblower leaks. Fully disclosing Rich’s seized laptops, drives, and related files could blow open the entire 2016 Russia narrative, exposing ties to Benghazi arms trafficking, Clinton Foundation pay-to-play, FISA warrant abuses, Ukraine meddling, and more. Instead, the FBI has stonewalled for years. However, the Trump DOJ and FBI may finally be ending the silence.

On February 3, 2020, at NoisyRoom.net, I framed the Deep State as a de facto criminal enterprise under the RICO Act, committing treason, fraud, obstruction, and other racketeering acts in a continuing pattern (18 U.S.C. §§ 1961–1968).

The DNC “hack” fit the pattern: Assange denied Russian involvement and forensic analysis pointed to an insider leak, yet the FBI never inspected the DNC servers themselves, relying on CrowdStrike’s report. This misdirection fueled the Russia-Trump collusion hoax, justifying surveillance, media smears, and the Mueller probe. Attorney Ty Clevenger used Grassley’s discovery of hidden FBI files to advance his FOIA suits. Matt Taibbi at Racket News just posted an exclusive update on these hidden FBI files. John Solomon of Just the Newsjust dropped an article detailing how prohibited-access files shielded politically sensitive cases, including an intriguing quote from Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon. The Federalist published these bombshell articles, too (here, here, here, and here). Whistleblower tips to Grassley’s office blew the lid off. Grassley demanded that AG Bondi and Director Patel produce records; some have been turned over amid internal resistance, and Patel’s task force is now excavating decades of hidden material.

I know how law enforcement record-keeping works. Over my 35 years in law enforcement, I started as a police cadet filing hard-copy reports in long rows of 4-drawer cabinets lining the wall. We used drum files of index cards sorted by name to locate report numbers, then pulled the physical file. Records clerks handled merging the cards during filing. The digital Records Management System (RMS) eliminated the drum file, but we still worked with hard copies. Old cases were microfilmed or purged; DIRS digital scanning arrived in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Investigative units, especially homicide, kept their own hard copies of police reports indefinitely, and they were never locked away (murders and officer-involved shootings, and the like).The FBI’s top-brass-only restriction is deliberate concealment, not oversight. Scandalous doesn’t cover it.Reporting from Just the News shows these “prohibited access” files have been a go-to method for burying records in politically charged investigations for years—exactly the kind of tool that could explain the ongoing stonewalling in cases like Rich’s.

In Rich’s case, Attorney Clevenger has repeatedly exposed the FBI’s contradictions: first denying any records existed, then admitting they held Rich’s laptops, a DVD, a thumb drive, and thousands of pages—yet continuing to withhold them under the excuse of an “ongoing investigation.” Following Judge Amos Mazzant’s August 24, 2024, ruling ordering full production, the FBI was required to comply by March 10, 2025—but the bureau only delivered a Vaughn index—that is, a list of withheld documents—not the documents themselves (see my March 2025 American Thinkerpiece on the FBI’s defiance).

This strongly suggests the withheld information may contain exculpatory evidence of a domestic leak, which would dismantle the Russia-hack narrative. Shades of the Hunter Biden laptop—branded “Russian disinformation” by 51 former intel officials and suppressed across media and social platforms before the 2020 election. Clevenger tells me more developments could emerge soon. Nearly ten years later, there are still no arrests, no real progress—only obstruction.

With Trump’s election, Patel and Bondi are now in charge of the DOJ and FBI, and the moment is here. The old CYA days are over—the winds have shifted—but the files are still sealed, plausibly to keep the lower ranks and conspirators unsuspecting while the real work happens. Dragging this out much longer risks losing ground politically before the midterms. Will the truth come out, or will caution become the enemy? The American people have waited long enough—no more delays.

Ariane 6: a new reference for Europe

Following on from Ariane 5, Ariane 6 established itself in 2025 as the European heavy-lift launcher, marking a decisive step forward for European space autonomy.

6 March: launch of the CSO-3 observation satellite.

13 August: launch of Europe’s first MetOp Second Generation, MetOp-SG-A1, weather satellite, which hosts the Copernicus Sentinel-5 mission.

4 November: launch of the Copernicus Sentinel-1D satellite.

17 December: 14th launch of Galileo satellites.

These launches confirm the reliability, versatility and performance of Ariane 6, capable of meeting a wide range of needs, launching strategic missions for Earth observation, meteorological and navigation satellites.

Vega-C: reliability at the service of scientific missions

The Vega-C rocket played an essential role in Europe’s scientific and environmental missions. In 2025, several launches from Europe’s Spaceport demonstrated the launcher’s versatility and reliability:

29 April: launch of ESA’s Biomass satellite, a mission dedicated to studying forests and the carbon cycle.

Complementarity at the heart of European strategy

2025 illustrated how Ariane 6 and Vega-C complement each other. Together the two launchers allow Europe to launch a wide range of missions, from heavy institutional satellites to medium-sized scientific and environmental missions.

For Europe, this complementarity is a strategic asset, guaranteeing flexible and autonomous access to space from the Europe’s Spaceport.

Solid improvement

On 24 April the P160C solid rocket motor was fired up at Europe’s Spaceport solid propulsion test stand, a visually striking milestone after three years of intense development work.

P160C is the larger version of the P120C rocket motor that is used as a booster for Ariane 6 and as a first stage motor for Vega-C.

In 2026, Europe’s Spaceport will continue to ramp up its activities with a sustained launch schedule.

Ariane 6 will be at the heart of operations, with several commercial and institutional missions planned, notably the heavy-lift version of Ariane 6 – with four boosters – designed for the largest payloads.

Vega-C will carry out missions for smaller satellites, particularly in the fields of Earth observation and other European institutional missions.

Europe’s Spaceport is undergoing a major transformation to become a more modern, sustainable and competitive spaceport, capable of meeting the needs of both institutional players and new entrants to the space sector, while reducing its environmental impact.

The Spaceport is modernising its infrastructure to new standards and to increase launch activities: optimising launch facilities, improving logistics and strengthening security and control systems.

These developments will enhance competitiveness, secure Europe's autonomous access to space and prepare for future space programmes.

How the Universe makes gold: Scientists solve a 20-year puzzle

Heavy elements such as gold and platinum are born in some of the Universe’s most violent events.

These heavy elements form when stars collapse or when neutron stars collide, triggering a rapid chain of nuclear reactions known as the r-process.

In this extreme environment, atomic nuclei become more unstable due to rapid neutron absorption.

Eventually, these heavy nuclei decay into more stable forms. This often happens through beta decay, a process that can release one or more neutrons as the nucleus stabilizes.

Because the nuclei involved are extremely rare and short-lived, scientists usually rely on theoretical models rather than direct measurements.

Now, scientists from the University of Tennessee have uncovered new details about this mysterious process. In experiments at CERN, the team made three important discoveries about how unstable atomic nuclei break apart during these reactions.

Their findings, published in Physical Review Letters, provide crucial data that could improve models explaining how the Universe produces heavy elements like gold.

To better understand this process, scientists studied the rare isotope indium-134. The experiments took place at the ISOLDE Decay Station at CERN, where advanced laser separation techniques produced a pure beam of the isotope.

Professor Robert Grzywacz from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville stated, “These nuclei are hard to make and require a lot of new technology to synthesize in sufficient quantities.”

When indium-134 decays, it forms excited versions of several tin isotopes, including tin-134, tin-133, and tin-132. These nuclei can release neutrons as they settle into more stable states.

Using a highly sensitive neutron detector supported by the National Science Foundation, scientists were able to track these emissions in unprecedented detail.

The team’s most important breakthrough was the first measurement of neutron energies produced during beta-delayed two-neutron emission.

Models reveal the first hints of nuclear fission in cosmos

This rare process occurs in exotic nuclei that exist only briefly. Until now, scientists could detect the emission but had never measured the energy of the released neutrons.

Neutrons are difficult to track because they scatter easily inside detectors. Distinguishing whether one neutron or two were emitted has therefore been a long-standing challenge.

“The reason this is hard is that neutrons like to bounce around. It’s hard to tell if it’s one or two,” Grzywacz explained. In earlier attempts, “no one measured energies,” so this approach “opens a completely new field.”

The new measurement opens the door to studying similar nuclear processes along the r-process pathway.

The scientists also detected, for the first time, a long-predicted single-particle neutron state in tin-133.

Scientists discovered that tin nuclei retain a “memory” of their beta decay. It contradicts the earlier belief that they released neutrons and forgot the event.

Thanks to advanced neutron detectors, this hidden nuclear state came out from behind a curtain. These findings suggest the need for new models to explain why some decays emit one neutron while others emit two.

“People were searching for it for 20 years, and we found it,” Grzywacz said. “Those two neutrons allowed us to see this state.”

“The newly observed state represents an intermediate stage in the two-neutron emission sequence.

It also represents the final elementary excitation of the tin-133 nucleus, helping complete the nuclear structure picture and improving the accuracy of theoretical calculations.”

The third discovery surprised scientists even more.

The newly observed nuclear state did not appear according to the statistical patterns normally expected in nuclear decay. In this experiment, the environment was relatively clean, with nuclear states separated instead of crowded together.

“Yet, in most cases, the system still behaves statistically, like split‑pea soup,” as Grzywacz put it. “Why this happens, and why it doesn’t in this case, remains unclear.”

The findings suggest that as scientists probe more exotic nuclei, such as Tennessine, existing models may no longer be enough. New theories will be needed to explain these extreme systems.

Improved models of the r-process will help scientists better understand the chemical evolution of the Universe and explain how elements such as gold and platinum are forged in stellar explosions and collisions.

The study also highlights the importance of advanced facilities like CERN and international collaboration in exploring some of the rarest forms of matter in the Universe.

As seen below, Rupar shared a clip of Isaacman — a billionaire entrepreneur and private astronaut who became NASA administrator in December — defending President Trump’s decision to initiate a military strike on Iran. Isaacman said:

Top executives haverecently signaled the plans to other senior leaders at Meta and told them to begin planning how to pare back, two of the people said. The sources spoke anonymously because they were not authorized to disclose the cuts.

“This is speculative reporting about theoretical approaches,” Meta spokesperson Andy Stone said in response to questions about the plan.

If Meta settles on the 20% figure, the layoffs will be the company’s most significant since a restructuring in late 2022 and early 2023 that it dubbed the “year of efficiency.” It employed nearly 79,000 people as of December 31, according to its latest filing.

The company laid off 11,000 staffers in November 2022, or around 13% of its workforce at the time. Around four months later, it announced it was cutting another 10,000 jobs.

Zuckerberg focusing on generative AI

Over the last year, CEO Mark Zuckerberghas been pushing Meta to compete more forcefully in generative AI. The company has offered huge pay packages, some worth hundreds of millions of dollars over four years, to court top AI researchers to a new superintelligence team.

The company has said it plans toinvest $600 billion to build data centers by 2028. Earlier this week, it acquired Moltbook, a social networking platform built for AI agents. Meta is also spending atleast $2 billion to buy Chinese AI startup Manus, Reuters previously reported.

Zuckerberg has alluded to efficiency gains from the investments, saying in January he wasstarting to see “projects that used to require big teams now be accomplished by a single very talented person.”

Meta’s plans reflect a broader pattern among major U.S. companies, particularly in tech, this year. Executives have pointed to recent improvements in AI systems as one reason for the changes.

In January, Amazon confirmed it would cut some 16,000 jobs, amounting to nearly 10% of its workforce. Last month, the fintech company Block

chopped nearly half of its staff, with CEO Jack Dorsey explicitly pointing to AI tools and their growing capability to help companies do more with smaller teams.

Meta’s planned AI investments follow a series of setbacks with its Llama 4 models last year, including criticism that they produced misleading results on the benchmarks used for earlier versions. Russian authorities reported that three people were injured and hospitalized following the incident.

Video footage circulated online and geolocated by ASTRA showed a fire at the Afipsky oil refinery.

Russian officials said the blaze began after fragments from downed drones fell on technical installations at the site. Authorities reported no casualties at the refinery.

Explosions and air defense activity were also reported near the city of Tolyatti in Russia’s Samara region.

According to ASTRA, the likely target was the KuibyshevAzot chemical plant, a major Russian producer of chemical materials.

Samara region governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev stated that Russian air defenses shot down three drones over the region overnight.

ASTRA also reported that one drone may have fallen in a residential complex in northern Krasnodar, though officials did not provide details about possible damage.

Separately, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod region said one person was killed and another injured during overnight drone attacks.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that air defenses intercepted or destroyed 87 Ukrainian drones during the night, though the ministry did not specify which facilities were targeted.

The port of Kavkaz is a key logistics hub in southern Russia. By cargo volume, it ranks fifth among Russian ports and second in the Azov–Black Sea basin after Novorossiysk.

The port’s oil terminal plays a role in supplying fuel to Russian-occupied territories, including Crimea and parts of southern Ukraine.

Update: Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed that Defense Forces units struck the Afipsky oil refinery in the settlement of Afipsky, Krasnodar region, during overnight operations on March 14 aimed at reducing Russia’s military-economic capacity.

According to the statement, the refinery has an annual processing capacity of 6.25 million tons—about 2.1% of Russia’s total oil refining output—and a strike on the facility was followed by a fire on the plant’s territory.

The General Staff also reported damage to infrastructure at the Port of Kavkaz near the Chushka area in Krasnodar region, adding that both facilities are involved in supporting the Russian military. The extent of the damage is still being clarified.

Earlier, drones struck Uralchem’s KCKK chemical plant in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk in Russia’s Kirov region—more than 1,000 kilometers from Ukraine’s border. The facility produces ammonium nitrate, a chemical used in fertilizer production but also linked to explosive manufacturing.

Players who arrived on Wednesday are being kept at a hotel where journalists and media are not allowed to enter, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Some players had their mobile phones confiscated, while others were allowed to keep them only under the supervision of security personnel from the Iranian football federation.

Sources told Iran Internationalthat pressure on the players began in Tehran and has continued during the team’s camp ahead of the 2026 Asian Championship.

Mohammad Rahman Salari, a member of the Iranian Football Federation’s board, played a central role in enforcing the restrictions and repeatedly collected and inspected the phones of players and staff after the team’s first match.

Fatemeh Bodaghi, who is traveling with the delegation as manager of Iran’s women’s national team, was described by sourcesas acting on behalf of the federation’s security apparatus under the leadership of federation president Mehdi Taj, monitoring players’ social media accounts and reporting their activities to authorities in Tehran.

Sources alsosaid Zeinab Hosseinzadeh, the team’s physiotherapist, was among those involved in exerting pressure on players.

Farideh Shojaei, the women’s vice president of the football federation, is also accompanying the team. She previously said options for the team’s return to Iran amid US-Israeli airstrikes were being examined, including a possible land route through Turkey, after attempts to return via the United Arab Emirates did not succeed.

Earlier Saturday, Israel issued an evacuation order for an industrial area located west of the city of Tabriz in Iran, noting that it will "conduct operations in this area in the coming hours."

Police Drones in Haiti Have Killed More Than 1,000 People

With all eyes on West Asia as the US and Israel unleash devastating air strikes on Iran, another deadly conflict is already well underway: the political crisis in Haiti.

According to a new report by Human Rights Watch and flagged by ABC News, drones controlled by Haitian security forces and private military contracts have killed at least 1,243 people between March 1, 2025 and January 21, 2026.

Though the ongoing drone attacks are said to be part of a protracted campaign to reign in gang activity, there are at least 17 children counted among the dead, as well as 43 adults who are confirmed to have been civilian non-combatants.

As the chaos of the skirmishes has mostly unfolded over the densely populated capital of Port-au-Prince, the number of innocent victims is only likely to increase — both as civil society groups gain a fuller accounting of the civilian dead, and as further violence rocks the Caribbean city.

Since 2025, Human Rights Watch found, authorities in Haiti or their mercenaries have resorted to using manually-operated quadcopter drones equipped with explosives to target suspected militants.

A reported 139 armed drone attacks have taken place over the past year, the most lethal of which claimed 57 lives.

“Dozens of ordinary people, including many children, have been killed and injured in these lethal drone operations,” said Juanita Goebertus, Americas director at Human Rights Watch in the report.

“Haitian authorities should urgently rein in the security forces and private contractors working for them before more children die.”

Per the report, evidence shows Haitian police repeatedly attacking vehicles as well as groups of people with suicide drones.

While some of the targets of these attacks are armed, Human Rights Watch found no evidence of drone attacks on people that pose an immediate threat to civilian lives.

“These videos bolster the impression that many of the drone attacks are attempts to target and extrajudicially kill people, rather than a law enforcement response that might justify the deliberate, lethal use of force,” the report reads.

Since August of 2025, Blackwater founder and prominent Donald Trump donor Erik Prince has helped deploy hundreds of private mercenaries to Haiti, Al Jazeera has reported.

In addition to supplying personnel, Prince has acted as a key advisor to the drone assassination task force responsible for the devastation, which has drawn condemnations from human rights groups for suspected violations of international law.

Blackwater is a private military company responsible for the Nisour Square Massacre in Iraq, a shooting which left 17 civilians dead. (The four contractors responsible were pardoned by Trump during his first stint in the Oval Office.)

Evidently, Prince is now exporting that same carnage to Haiti — this time with drones — furthering a history of heavy-handed US meddling in the affairs of the beleaguered Caribbean nation.

South African leader defends army deployment in crime-hit areas

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has said the deployment of the military is already helping restore stability in affected communities, but a permanent army presence will be costly.

Speaking in the National Assembly at the Nieuwmeester Dome, Ramaphosa said the deployment of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) in five provinces is assisting police and has been welcomed by communities.

He was responding to a question from Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) MP Nhlanhla Hadebe about the safety improvements he expects from the deployment.

Ramaphosa said the SANDF was being used as a “force multiplier” to support the South African Police Service (SAPS) in addressing several crime challenges, including gangsterism in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Gauteng, as well as illicit mining in Gauteng and the North West Province.

”The SANDF deployment is necessary to complement the efforts of the SAPS in tackling these crimes and bringing stability to our communities,” Ramaphosa told MPs.

He said soldiers are operating under police command with clear rules of engagement and for specific, time-limited objectives.

”The army may be called on by the police to provide protection in high-risk areas or operations, or to support cordon-and-search operations and roadblocks against armed criminals,” Ramaphosa said.

Soldier may also secure critical infrastructure, freeing police officers to focus on investigations. Ramaphosa rejected suggestions that the deployment indicates a failure by police.

”That is not the case. We are getting the police and the army to work together to handle the challenges our people are facing,” he said.

He added that the deployment will take place alongside other measures, including strengthening anti-gang units and illegal mining task teams.

Police will also work with the National Prosecuting Authority in multidisciplinary operations aimed at targeting the leadership, finances and weapons networks linked to organised crime.

”Through this support, we aim to achieve a significant reduction in serious and violent crime in targeted areas, with the neutralisation of gang violence and illicit mining,” Ramaphosa said.

The deployment is being implemented gradually as the defence force moves into identified areas. Ramaphosa said the presence of soldiers has already been welcomed by residents.

”Where they become present, there is stability. We want to instil that stability and rid areas of criminality on a permanent basis,” he said.

He added that the deployment is for a specific timeframe and may be extended if necessary. Ramaphosa said public perceptions of the military have changed over time.

To counter the rapidly evolving threat from hostile unmanned aircraft systems, Joint Interagency Task Force 401 has championed a groundbreaking enterprise-level agreement to provide a cutting-edge command-and-control solution through a strategic action.

Awarded by Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, the initiative directly addresses the critical interoperability challenge that has hampered joint and interagency counter-unmanned aircraft system operations.

By establishing a common technological backbone, this agreement paves the way for an integrated, multilayered defense network that will allow warfighters and federal agents to seamlessly share data, coordinate responses and neutralize threats faster and more effectively.

"This is a decisive move against a pervasive and growing threat; we are breaking down the hurdles that have limited our effectiveness in the [counter]-UAS fight," said Army Col. Tony Lindh, task force deputy director of acquisitions.

"This agreement provides common air domain awareness through a proven [command and control] platform — Lattice — allowing us to build a cohesive, agile and formidable defensive ecosystem.

The agreement signals a fundamental shift in the government's approach to acquiring critical software-defined capabilities.

Rather than managing dozens of disparate contracts, this single enterprise vehicle allows for rapid procurement and deployment of counter-UAS technology where it is needed most, ensuring the U.S. maintains a decisive advantage.

By centralizing procurement under one $20 billion vehicle, the government will gain a unified tracking point for all related acquisitions, reduce duplicative purchases, minimize dormant procurements and achieve greater pricing transparency and cost savings.

"Based on our testing and evaluation, it became clear that a common command and control system is needed to effectively counter adversary drones.

These results were confirmed during my visit to Ukraine, when I saw firsthand how drones have changed the modern battlefield," said Army Brig. Gen. Matt Ross, task force director.

"It ensures that our operators, agents and allies have immediate access to the best-in-class tools needed to defeat the UAS threat. We are cutting through red tape and delivering top-tier technology to our warfighters at the speed of relevance."
