Deporting 32 Million Immigrants
To calculate the time required to deport 32 million illegal immigrants under the given conditions, we need to consider the net change in the number of illegal immigrants each week.
If 500 illegal immigrants are deported each week and 100 new illegal immigrants enter each day, the net change per week is:
Weekly deportation: 500 illegal immigrants
Daily intake: 100 illegal immigrants
Weekly intake: 100 illegal immigrants/day * 7 days/week = 700 illegal immigrants/week
Net change per week = Weekly deportation - Weekly intake = 500 - 700 = -200 illegal immigrants/week
This means the net reduction in the number of illegal immigrants each week is 200.
To find out how long it will take to deport 32 million illegal immigrants, we can use the following calculation:
Time (in weeks) = Total number of illegal immigrants / Net reduction per week = 32,000,000 / 200 = 160,000 weeks
Converting weeks to years: Time (in years) = 160,000 weeks / 52 weeks/year ≈ 3,076.92 years
Therefore, it would take approximately 3,077 years to deport 32 million illegal immigrants at the given rates.
