The federal government has added two more Mexican cartels to others that have been designated as foreign terrorist organizations.

TheJuárez Cartel, which operates on the U.S.-Mexico border, andLos Viagras, which operates in the western state of Michoacán, joined six other Mexican criminal organizations that have the designation.

President Donald Trump extended the terrorist label to Latin American cartels beginning in 2025. The designation allows U.S. authorities to take more aggressive actions against them or anyone seen as aiding the organization, the Associated Press reported.

Other cartels with the designation include theSinaloa Carteland theJalisco New Generation Cartel, as well as gangs operating in Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador and El Salvador.

Many people have questioned whether it could actually be possible to electronically manipulate vote totals or change election results. Today, we are releasing documents that show the CIA obtained reporting of a specific plot by the Maduro regime in Venezuela to do exactly that—conspiring to digitally rig their own country’s elections in 2020. This reporting included precise details about methods the regime developed to digitally alter vote totals in ways that could not be detected even with an audit.

This intelligence underscores why we must take urgent action to ensure that our own systems can never be hacked or compromised.

A White House task force will be releasing classified intelligence documents related to the 2020 election.

Trump will speak about the newly declassified intelligence.

“Those responsible for sounding the alarm instead kept the information secret and hidden,” Trump said.

“They did not disclose to me as president or to anyone else and to the best of our knowledge, they did not inform Congress,” he said.

“US spy agencies began learning about the compromise of voter registration files in 2020 when they discovered that tens of millions of voter data, think of that tens of millions of voters data in 18 states have been bought, stolen or hacked by China,” Trump said.

“China has signed a data exploitation unit specifically to this new project. Compounding the travesty, the second set of documents we are releasing reveals that members of the deep state, very, very famous group of people, many cases, in our intelligence agency work to actively suppress and downplay information about the extent of China’s sinister election meddling, covering it up from both the president and the American people like nobody thought was possible,” Trump said.
