Latest Iryna Zarutska-style murder in Florida reveals hidden layer after layer…

Any American woman should be able to walk into a US bookstore, browse a few shelves, and go home alive.

That shouldn’t even need to be said, right? But sadly, here we are again.

This week, a 65-year-old Florida wife and mother named Rita Loncharich was brutally stabbed to death while minding her own business inside a Barnes & Noble in Palm Beach Gardens. She cried out for help, managed to call her husband, and then died from her injuries.

65-year-old Rita Loncharich was allegedly st*bbed to de*th by 40-year-old Antonio Moore at a Barnes and Noble in Palm Beach Gardens on Monday night.

She cried out, “He st*bbed me!” She then was able to call her husband but sadly soon passed from the attack, which Moore admitted to.

Moore is homeless and arrived in Florida by bus from Georgia recently.

One person wrote of the victim:

“Rita was a kind, gentle, and loving wife and mother whose life was taken far too soon and in such a senseless act of violence.”

MSM is almost completely ignoring this story because it doesn’t fit their narrative. You’ll be hard to find a single Democrat politician talking about it.

The US wouldn’t have such a bad homeless problem if so many of our resources weren’t wasted on harboring illegals.

Rita Loncharich would likely be alive today if deranged people like Antonio Moore received the counseling and assistance that our country can afford. But instead, our country panders to foreign invaders.

These issues are strongly connected.

Deport illegals. Save Americans.

RIP to Rita Loncharich.

She mattered.

Rita’s life ended in a senseless act of violence carried out by yet another violent homeless black man. Antonio Moore arrived in Florida recently from Georgia and later admitted to the murder.

Rita couldn’t have done anything different to save her life. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time, surrounded by a failed system that would quietly destroy her.

And what makes this harder to stomach is how closely this resembles the Iryna story.

And another thing that’s impossible to ignore is how almost no one is talking about Rita.

You can bet the fake news media isn’t talking about it. You can also guess how quiet the entire Dem Party has been as well. These are the same groups who claim to care deeply about violence, public safety, and vulnerable communities, yet they’ve gone silent over a horrific story that feels spookily similar to the Iryna Zarutska subway murder.

Iryna was also attacked and killed by a mentally unstable black man in a public setting. In that case, the media also moved on very quickly. And just like Rita’s murder, the deeper questions were never honestly addressed.

These are not random one-off murders. They are symptoms of our broken system, and that includes illegals as well.

Police arrest suspect after man stabs 3 women in Paris metro

French police on Friday arrested a man suspected of stabbing three women in the Paris metro as the capital's end-of-year festivities were in full swing, prosecutors told AFP.

The three victims were attacked at three different locations along the Line 3 metro track that runs across central Paris, the RATP authority that runs the transit service told AFP.

An AFP journalist at the Republique station saw a security team treating a woman who had been wounded in the leg and appeared to be in a state of shock.

The attacks happened between 4:15 pm (1515 GMT) and 4:45 pm at the stations Republique and Arts et Metiers both next to the Marais district and the Opera station, the RATP said.

"The victims were quickly taken care of by the emergency services," it said.

Paris police said two of the women attacked were treated by the emergency services and taken to hospital, but they were not in critical condition. A third woman turned up at hospital seeking treatment, they added.

Police used surveillance-camera footage and mobile-tracking tools to locate the 25-year-old suspected attacker in the Val d'Oise region north of Paris, said prosecutors.

"Activating the gelocation of his mobile phone led to his arrest late afternoon in Val d'Oise," they said.

After more than 20 years of failed attempts, we finalized a plan to permanently close the FBI’s Hoover headquarters and move the workforce into a safe, modern facility. Working directly with President Trump and Congress, we accomplished what no one else could.

When we arrived, taxpayers were about to be on the hook for nearly $5 billion for a new headquarters that wouldn’t open until 2035. We scrapped that plan. Instead, we selected the already-existing Reagan Building, saving billions and allowing the transition to begin immediately with required safety and infrastructure upgrades already underway. Once complete, most of the HQ FBI workforce will move in, and the rest are continuing in our ongoing push to put more manpower in the field, where they will remain.

This decision puts resources where they belong: defending the homeland, crushing violent crime, and protecting national security. It delivers better tools for today’s FBI workforce at a fraction of the cost.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korea's official state media, said Kim and his daughter visited the shipyard to examine the construction of what it describes as an 8,700-ton-class nuclear-propelled submarine, The Associated Press reported. Pyongyang has signaled that it plans to arm the submarine with nuclear weapons, the AP noted. MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The US research firm Ocean Infinity confirmed to Sputnik on Friday that it was resuming the search for the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which disappeared in 2014.

With backing from the Malaysian government, the company is restarting the hunt for the missing MH370 aircraft, an Ocean Infinity representative said.

Due to the sensitive nature of the operation, all official updates will come from the Malaysian government, the representative added.

A specialized Ocean Infinity vessel is en route to Australia's west coast to resume the search, Sputnik found out after analysis of marine tracking data. The 86-meter (282-feet) Singapore-flagged Armada 86 05 departed from its anchorage near the port of Kwinana on December 23 and is heading to the southern Indian Ocean, where a search for the missing aircraft had been underway. The ship serves as a launch platform for autonomous underwater vehicles capable of mapping the deep seabed.

The active search phase is set to begin on December 30.

In March 2024, Malaysian authorities agreed with Ocean Infinity for new efforts to find the MH370 wreckage. In April, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said that Ocean Infinity had paused the search due to off-season conditions.

In the early hours of March 8, 2014, a Boeing 777-200 aircraft operated by Malaysia Airlines on flight MH370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members, disappeared from radar screens. It is believed that the plane crashed in the southern Indian Ocean. However, the search operation was unable to determine the crash site. The Trump administration’s abrupt decision this week to suspend construction on five major offshore wind projects has sent shockwaves through the energy sector, leaving billions of dollars in investments hanging in the balance and thousands of workers facing an uncertain holiday season.

On December 22, the Department of the Interior issued immediate stop-work orders for all large-scale offshore wind projects under construction along the East Coast, citing national security concerns identified in classified reports from the Department of War. The directive affects Vineyard Wind 1, Revolution Wind, Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW), Sunrise Wind, and Empire Wind 1—projects representing a combined investment exceeding $10 billion and collectively capable of powering more than 2 million homes.

“The prime duty of the United States government is to protect the American people,” said Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. “Today’s action addresses emerging national security risks, including the rapid evolution of the relevant adversary technologies, and the vulnerabilities created by large-scale offshore wind projects with proximity near our east coast population centers.”

The administration’s justification centers on radar interference—or “clutter”—created by massive turbine blades and reflective towers, which officials say can obscure legitimate targets and generate false readings. A 2024 Department of Energy report acknowledged that while detection thresholds can be adjusted to reduce clutter, doing so could cause radars to “miss actual targets.”

Industry Pushback Intensifies

The orders have drawn fierce criticism from energy companies, labor unions, and industry groups who note that all affected projects underwent extensive national security reviews during previous administrations.

“All the projects suspended today underwent rigorous national security reviews during the first Trump and Biden Administrations,” said Jason Grumet, CEO of the American Clean Power Association. “[This week’s] decision creates needless uncertainty for any company that seeks to build an energy project in the United States. In America today, the greatest threat to a reliable energy system is an unreliable political system.”

AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler condemned the administration’s action as “irresponsible policy that threatens to take America backward,” noting that the orders left “thousands of workers in limbo during the holiday season.” She added: “Destroying good union jobs on projects that are poised to meet demand and deliver electricity to the grid makes no sense.”

Dominion Energy emphasized that CVOW has been coordinating with military authorities for over a decade and is located 27 to 44 miles offshore. The company noted that two pilot turbines have operated for five years “without causing any impacts to national security.”

Equinor stated that Empire Wind “has coordinated closely with federal officials on national security reviews since it executed its lease for the project in 2017, including with the Department of War,” and is complying with all relevant national security requirements identified during years of regulatory review.

Economic and Grid Reliability Concerns

The suspensions threaten significant job losses and economic disruption. Revolution Wind alone has generated approximately 2 million labor union hours, while Empire Wind’s construction phase has employed nearly 4,000 workers. Ørsted’s U.S. offshore wind projects have totaled approximately 4 million labor union hours to date.

Energy companies warn that prolonged delays could jeopardize grid reliability during a period of surging electricity demand. Dominion Energy stated bluntly: “Stopping CVOW for any length of time will threaten grid reliability for some of the nation’s most important war fighting, AI, and civilian assets. It will also lead to energy inflation and threaten thousands of jobs.”

The industry also points to successful operations of existing projects. Revolution Wind noted that the adjacent South Fork Wind facility “delivered reliable energy to New York at a capacity factor of 53% for the first half of 2025, on par with the state’s baseload power sources.”

By Brendan Murray (Bloomberg) — The global trading system, which is finishing up one of its most transformational years of the past century, heads into another facing more challenges to stability and growth.

Merchandise trade across the world held up relatively well through 2025, even as US President Donald Trump started erecting a tariff wall around the world’s largest economy. Data cited this week by shipping industry veteran John McCown show global container volumes grew 2.1% in October from a year earlier.

Yet beneath the overall resilience are shifting undercurrents: The US saw a 8% contraction in inbound volumes, while imports into Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and India all showed robust growth.

“World container supply chains have already begun to adapt and reconfigure trading patterns,” McCown wrote in a research note on Monday. After the US in 2024 saw a 15.2% gain in container imports for the full year, “to say that the annual total for 2025 will be in diametric contrast is an understatement.”

Trump’s trade threats were among the chief reasons for the rewiring of shipments, according to McCown. If 2025 was the year of the tariff, he wrote in a LinkedIn post, then 2026 will be the year of tariff consequences.

Revisiting USMCA

The US, Canada and Mexico are about to start reviewing the North American free-trade deal that took effect in 2020. The negotiations will take the three nations into “new territory” given the novelty of the provision allowing for an update after just six years, according to comments by US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer to lawmakers this month.

Greer said the government received more than 1,500 responses during the public comment period ahead of the coming review.

“Many stakeholders expressed support for the USMCA and many explicitly called for the agreement to be extended,” Greer said. “At the same time, virtually all stakeholders also called for some sort of improvement to the agreement.”

But any “improvement” for one of the three members of the trade bloc risks coming at the expense of another. And that sets the stage for a tough round of talks for the largest US trading partners, whose industries are strugging amid American import taxes. Ties are already strained between the US and Canada, after Trump terminated trade talks with the northern neighbor in October — in response to anti-tariff ads featuring Ronald Reagan.

The Supreme Court

Among the biggest unknowns in trade circles heading into 2026 is a pending US Supreme Court ruling on the legality of Trump’s so-called reciprocal tariffs — the broad levies he imposed on most major trading partners.

If Trump does lose the case, one of the most consequential questions for the economy and the country’s fiscal outlook will be whether the government will have to refund the money that American importers paid in tariffs. It’s not clear cut that’ll happen in a timely or organized way.

Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, told CBS’s Face the Nation that even if the high court doesn’t rule in the administration’s favor, it would be “pretty unlikely that they’re going to call for widespread refunds, because it would be an administrative problem” to distribute those.

Betting markets have put about a 75% chance on a Trump loss, which means the administration will have to use other authorities at the president’s disposal to impose tariffs.

Asked at the Atlantic Council earlier this month whether 2026 will be quieter on the tariff front than this year, Greer declined to offer a forecast. “That’s a question for President Trump,” he said.

Dominion Energy Sues BOEM as Governors Demand Briefing and End of Stop Work

Dominion Energy, the developer of one of the five offshore wind energy projects that received a stop-work order from the Trump administration, filed suit in District Court seeking an immediate injunction against the order. At the same time, the governors of the four states impacted by the order sent a strongly worded letter to the Department of the Interior, saying they rejected the “transparent pretext” of new information impacting national security and demanded a classified briefing and retraction of the order.

Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum on Monday ordered the five offshore wind projects currently under construction to immediately stop all offshore work, citing “national security concerns.” The brief statement and order to the companies cited concerns raised by the Pentagon, saying wind turbine blades and towers cause radar interference known as clutter. The statements cited “recently completed classified reports.” Work was to be suspended for at least 90 days while BOEM conducted a review and sought possible mitigation steps before canceling the projects.

Dominion Energy, in its civil action filed the following day, calls the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s order “arbitrary and capricious.” They called for an immediate injunction against the order and its enforcement, saying that the order “sets forth no rational basis, cannot be reconciled with BOEM’s own regulations and prior issued lease terms and approvals.” Further, they contend the order is unconstitutional as it infringes upon constitutional principles that limit actions by the Executive Branch, as well as violating the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act.

Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind, they highlight has been under construction since early 2024 after years of review and gaining all its permits. The company reports it has spent approximately $8.9 billion to develop the project, which is projected at a total cost of $11.2 billion and was expected to start generating power early in 2026.

The court filing says BOEM’s arbitrary and illegal order is fundamentally inconsistent with the legal framework. They assert the action is “sudden and baseless.”

Dominion Energy asserts the illegal order is causing serious, irreparable harm to the company and its customers. U.S. District Court Judge Jamar Walker set a hearing for Monday, December 29, regarding the request for a temporary restraining order.

At the same time, the governors of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island sent a letter to Secretary Bugum calling the order an “irrational and erratic action.” They rejected the assertions of national security concerns as a “transparent pretext,” demanding a briefing on the purported information and an immediate rescission of the suspension.

“The sudden emergence of a new ‘national security threat’ appears to be less a legitimate, rational finding of fact and more a pretextual excuse to justify a predetermined outcome consistent with the President’s frequently stated personal opposition to offshore wind,” the governors write in their letter.

They highlight that the states were not informed of any “purportedly news risks prior to these suspensions,” and that the action did not account for the states' “substantial reliance interest.” They say the states’ economies depend on these approvals and reject the national security claims, saying the action risks a “national security and economic disaster.” They highlight the vital need for more electricity generation, the Trump administration’s policy of energy independence, and assert the order risks grid failure.

“Administrative actions, such as those you have taken here, cannot be based on undisclosed, secret rationales – especially not when thousands of jobs and vital energy projects are at stake,” the governors write. They demand a classified briefing for personnel to review this evidence and all information related to the rationale of the order.

Dominion Energy notes that this action is specific to its project but that there are four other projects that have related interests. Ørsted said on Tuesday that it would evaluate potential legal proceedings, while all of the companies said they were willing to work with BOEM and the Department of the Interior to address concerns and take further mitigation steps.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A new bill proposed on Capitol Hill could ban individuals from becoming dual citizens or force them to give up citizenship if they’re already dual citizens.

The Exclusive Citizenship Act of 2025 was introduced by Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio, but would have nationwide implications. The bill would “Establish that citizens of the United States shall owe sole and exclusive allegiance to the United States.”

That means anyone who is currently a dual citizen with the U.S. and another country would need to forfeit citizenship in one.

If it becomes law and someone becomes a dual citizen afterward, their American citizenship would automatically be revoked.

Already, there are major Constitutional concerns.

“It seems that even if there were a big push for this, that to actually turn it into something that was policy, that withstood court scrutiny, just seems very unlikely,” Steven Greene, a professor at NC State University, said.

Some political experts say the bill is unlikely to get any traction because it has no bipartisan support, and no outward support from the Republican party.

“Bills that are actually going to be successful tend to have a lot of cosponsors, ideally bipartisan support… it’s not something President Trump has been talking about,” Greene said.

But those political experts say the bill’s messaging is clear:

“It is very much just part of a larger political context right now questioning what does it mean to be an American, who is an American, who is a citizen, what does it take to be a citizen?” Greene said.

The nucleus itself is not resolved. The surrounding halo dominates the frame. What should be the most visually informative image of the most scientifically extraordinary visitor in modern astronomy instead appears abstract, distant, and indistinct.

From a forensic standpoint, that choice matters.

The explanation offered by agencies is technical: 3I/ATLAS is faint, fast-moving, unusually active, and best studied in ultraviolet wavelengths where gas emissions are more detectable. All of that is true. But it is also incomplete.

Hubble is capable of multi-filter observations. Other space-based instruments—across optical, infrared, and radar domains—are currently operational. Ground-based adaptive optics systems now rival or exceed the clarity of images produced during the Halley era.

The public-facing question is not whether better data exists, but whether it is being shown.

As someone trained to examine evidence presentation, I focus not only on what is included, but what is excluded.

The decision to release a UVIS F350LP composite rather than a clearer optical frame is not accidental. It shapes perception. It emphasizes diffuse gas over solid structure.

It prioritizes scientific conservatism over visual transparency. And in doing so, it creates an unavoidable optics problem: the most advanced observational infrastructure in human history appears to deliver less clarity than a flyby mission from the Cold War era.

This concern is amplified by the context surrounding 3I/ATLAS itself. Unlike Halley, this object is interstellar in origin.

Its trajectory, non-gravitational acceleration, anomalous jet behavior, and chemical signatures have already placed it outside the comfort zone of standard comet models.

Independent researchers and amateur astronomers have reported features—anti-sunward jets, pulsations, and rotational irregularities—that are not easily reconciled with a simple icy nucleus.

When the official imagery appears to smooth over detail rather than sharpen it, skepticism is a rational response, not a conspiratorial one.

To be clear, this does not prove intent to withhold information. But it does establish a pattern of extreme caution in public disclosure that contrasts sharply with historical precedent.

During the Halley apparition, agencies embraced clarity because the object was familiar. With 3I/ATLAS, caution dominates because the object is not.

Transparency in science is not just about data collection; it is about presentation. When the clearest comet image in popular memory is four decades old, the burden shifts to institutions to explain why.

Losing late spring snow cover means losing a bright, reflective surface that helps keep the Arctic cool, allowing the land instead to be directly warmed by the sun, which raises the temperature.

Sea ice tells a similar story. The year's maximum sea ice coverage, reached in March, was the lowest in the 47-year satellite record. The minimum sea ice coverage, in September, was the 10th lowest.

Mountain glaciers are also losing ice at an extraordinary rate – the annual rate of glacier ice loss across the Arctic has tripled since the 1990s.

This poses immediate local hazards. Glacial lake outburst floods – when water that is dammed up by a glacier is suddenly released – are becoming more frequent.

In Juneau, Alaska, recent outburst floods from Mendenhall Glacier have inundated homes and displaced residents with record-setting levels of floodwater.

Glacier retreat can also contribute to catastrophic landslide impacts.

Following the retreat of South Sawyer Glacier, a landslide in southeast Alaska's Tracy Arm in August 2025 generated a tsunami that swept across the narrow fjord and ran nearly 1,600 feet (nearly 490 meters) up the other side.

Fortunately, the fjord was empty of the cruise ships that regularly visit.

Record-warm oceans drive storms, ecosystem shifts

Arctic Ocean surface waters are steadily warming, with August 2025 temperatures among the highest ever measured.

In some Atlantic-sector regions, sea surface temperatures were as much as 13 degrees Fahrenheit (7.2 Celsius) above the 1991-2020 average.

Some parts of the Chukchi and Beaufort seas were cooler than normal.

Warm water in the Bering Sea set the stage for one of the year's most devastating events:

Ex-Typhoon Halong, which fed on unusually warm ocean temperatures before slamming into western Alaska with hurricane-force winds and catastrophic flooding.

The Arctic is also seeing warmer, saltier Atlantic Ocean water intrude northward into the Arctic Ocean.

Permafrost thaw is turning rivers orange

As permafrost – the frozen ground that underlies much of the Arctic – continues its long-term warming and thaw, one emerging consequence is the spread of rusting rivers.

As thawing soils release iron and other minerals, more than 200 watersheds across Arctic Alaska now show orange discoloration.

The rapid pace of change underscores the need for strong Arctic monitoring systems. Yet many government-funded observing networks face funding shortfalls and other vulnerabilities.

According to the mayor, five people sought medical assistance as a result of the attack. Four were hospitalized, while one received outpatient treatment.

Consequences of the Russian strike

The State Emergency Service reported that in the Holosiivskyi district, a falling drone caused three vehicles to catch fire at a service station; the fire has since been extinguished.

In the Obolonskyi district, a drone attack sparked a fire in a three-story private residential building, with the roof and second floor burning; firefighting operations are ongoing.

What Russia used

At around 6:30 a.m. local time, another wave of missiles and several dozen attack drones was reported approaching the capital. Preliminary assessments suggest the main targets were Kyiv’s and the surrounding region’s energy infrastructure.

Impact of the second wave

As of 8:15 a.m. local time, fires were recorded in the Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Solomianskyi districts.

At 8:30 a.m., a fire was reported on the fourth floor of an 18-story residential building in the Dniprovskyi district, with emergency services dispatched to the scene.

In the Desnianskyi district, medics were called, while additional ambulance teams responded to two addresses in the Solomianskyi district.

In the Darnytskyi district, there was a threat of fire spreading to a care home for the elderly — several private houses were reportedly burning.

Rescuers evacuated ten residents from the facility. A fire also broke out in a residential building near the drone impact site, including on the upper floors. In the Dniprovskyi district, a strike hit a depot.

The rector of the National Aviation University, Kseniia Semenova, confirmed to RBC-Ukraine that a drone hit a university dormitory.

“It struck the elevator shaft. There were no casualties. Windows were blown out in the dormitory,” Semenova said.

Casualties and emergency response

As of now, at least 11 people are known to have been injured as a result of the air attack, with eight hospitalized in Kyiv medical facilities.

Klitschko also reported additional consequences: a fire in the Holosiivskyi district, reportedly on the territory of a service station; debris falling onto a garden cooperative in the Obolonskyi district; and debris landing in an open area in the Desnianskyi district.

All emergency services are operating on site. At least ten people aged between 36 and 75 were injured, including two minors aged 9 and 16.

Russia has repeatedly rejected the idea of any NATO troop deployment to the country’s territory

Berlin must send troops to Ukraine as part of a potential peace settlement, according to Manfred Weber, the leader of the European People’s Party (EPP) – a political group with the biggest faction in the EU Parliament. Brussels cannot rely on Washington to secure peace between Moscow and Kiev, the politician told Funke Media Group in an interview published this week.

Moscow has repeatedly rejected the idea of any NATO presence in Ukraine. It also named the US-led bloc’s expansion to the East one of the root causes of the conflict.

Kiev’s Western backers, including France and the UK have occasionally raised the issue of NATO troop deployment to Ukraine throughout the conflict. The plan was given another impetus earlier this month at the talks in Berlin, where US officials met with the Ukrainian delegation, the leaders of Germany, France, the UK, and eight other European countries.

”We cannot seriously expect Trump to secure a peace settlement solely with American troops. And when we talk about European troops, Germany cannot be left out,” Weber said. “After a ceasefire or a peace agreement, the European flag must fly along the [contact] line.”

He also claimed he did not “see” the Russian leadership “pursuing the path of peace” and called on Kiev’s European backers to demonstrate strength.

Moscow has repeatedly stated it is ready and willing to resolve the conflict peacefully as long as the other side demonstrates a similar commitment and the root causes of the crisis are addressed. On Friday, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that the conflict resolution was “really close” but warned that Kiev and its European backers are actively trying to “torpedo” the peace process.

The Trump administration has not confirmed the extent of its support for the European plan. Weber also called on the EU to act independently from the US in security matters, prompting the NATO head, Mark Rutte, to warn that creating alternatives to the bloc would not benefit its European members.

As Hillary Clinton closed in on the presidential nomination in the spring of 2016, FBI field officers advised colleagues at headquarters to press her on the foreign donations flowing to the Clinton Foundation while she steered American foreign policy and whether she had used the charity as a campaign piggy bank.

But FBI HQ in Washington — a city in which the former secretary of state and first lady wields enormous influence — let the trail go cold.

FBI New York Assistant Director in Charge Diego Rodriguez advised agents in Washington to ask Clinton several questions about the foundation, which are reproduced in full in documents released to the Senate Judiciary Committee by the FBI and published on Dec. 15. (p. 22) The questions reveal the concerns about foreign bribery that the Clinton Foundation case — codenamed “Cracked Foundation” — had uncovered. (p. 41)

Among the evidence available to investigators, according to their questions: A recorded conversation between Clinton and Indian hotel magnate Sant Singh Chatwal in which Clinton discussed donations to the foundation and her remaining 2008 campaign debt. The new documents confirm that FBI had at one time been “intercepting individuals associated with the Clinton Foundation.” (p. 23)

But when Clinton arrived to the FBI two months later, in July 2016, to answer questions about her use of a private email server in a separate investigation codenamed “Midyear Exam,” D.C. agents asked nothing about the allegations of pay-to-play with foreign governments or use of the global charity as a slush fund.

The Clinton Foundation did not respond to a request for comment. Chatwal could not be reached for comment.

Anti-graft agencies have said that they have uncovered an illegal lobbying scheme in parliament following an undercover operation

Ukraine’s anti-corruption authorities saythey have uncovered a criminal vote-rigging and bribery scheme involving serving members of the country’s parliament, following an undercover operation.

The development comes ahead of a meeting between Vladimir Zelensky and US President Donald Trump in Florida.

Kiev is still reeling from a major corruption scandal in state nuclear operator Energoatom, involving Zelensky’s longtime associate, Timur Mindich. Two ministers and the Ukrainian leader’s influential chief of staff, Andrey Yermak, were ousted in the wake of the revelations.

Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) exposed an organized criminal enterprise involving serving MPs, the agencies reported on Saturday.

“According to the investigation, the group’s members systematically received illicit benefits in exchange for voting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” NABU said in a statement on Telegram.

Members of Ukraine’s State Security Administration,a law enforcement agency subordinate to the Ukrainian presidency and the Rada, were “illegally” interfering with NABU agents during the ongoing investigation, the anti-graft agency noted.

On Saturday, NABU reportedly conducted searches in the Rada’s Transport Committee, which is led by Yuri Kisel, a member of Zelensky’s ruling party.

Earlier in December, Ukrainian outlet ZN.ua reported that anti-graft agencies discovered an illegal lobbying “cash window” after wire-tapping the MP over the course of two years.

NABU and SAPO began their broader crackdown earlier this year, with their revelations on a $100 million kickback scheme in Energoatom.

While the investigation implicated the Ukrainian leader’s close aides and former associates, Zelensky has distanced himself from the scandal.

However, nearly 40% of Ukrainians believe the Ukrainian leader is implicated in corruption, according to a recent Socis poll.

The country’s leadership has long devolved into a “criminal gang that holds power for personal enrichment,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said last week. It’s clear that the corrupt and out-of-touch officials in Kiev no longer care about “the fate of common people in Ukraine or the fate of ordinary soldiers,” he stressed.

Almost 30 years ago, Samuel Huntington published “The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order”, where he famously said that “the West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion, but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence”. He concluded that “Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do”. Obviously, this is hardly surprising given the fact that precisely non-Western nations had to endure the trauma of the political West’s aggression against the entire world. But how did the world’s most aggressive power pole manage to secure such a massive advantage, despite being heavily outnumbered?

The answer to that question is rather complex and goes far beyond the scope of a single article. And yet, there are certain nuances that we could address and one of those is the political West’s propensity to (ab)use advanced technologies in order to gain the upper hand. This is not to say that other, often far more advanced civilizations couldn’t do it, because it’s all a matter of political will. For instance, Ancient China certainly had the technological know-how to achieve absolute superiority over much (if not most) of the world, but simply chose not to, instead focusing on trade. Namely, the Asian giant was behind several world-altering technologies that could’ve ensured that.

This includes gunpowder, paper and the printing press, three inventions without which the modern world is entirely unviable and unimaginable. However, we didn’t see China build massive invasion forces that would go around the planet, robbing entire continents of their native populations and settling colonists on their lands. It was the political West which did that centuries after acquiring those technologies from China and refining them into brutal killing machines. Ever since, there hasn’t been a single technology that Western nations haven’t adapted to be used for this purpose. This hasn’t changed in the slightest to this very day and there are no indicators it ever will.

Namely, while the multipolar (i.e., the actual) world is looking to regulate and limit artificial intelligence (AI) to prevent its misuse and abuse, the most powerful Western nation, the United States, is pursuing the full integration of advanced AI into its so-called “kill chain”. The Pentagon is doing this in close partnership with xAI. The company, known for operating X (formerly Twitter) and Grok AI chatbot, is owned by Elon Musk, a controversial billionaire (or soon-to-be trillionaire, if his uncontrollable wealth accumulation continues) with very close ties with the US military. Namely, his SpaceX has been working with the Pentagon to provide advanced services such as the now (in)famous Starlink.

The system is also used for advanced communications and ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) by the Neo-Nazi junta in NATO-occupied Ukraine, where it provided a major advantage until it was largely suppressed by Russian EW (electronic warfare) assets. SpaceX is also working with the Pentagon to provide orbital launch options. Interestingly, Musk often speaks about the dangers of AI and is adamant that it shouldn’t be used in warfare, calling it “more dangerous than nuclear weapons”. What made him change his mind is anyone’s guess, but here we are, as one of his most prospective companies is weaponizing AI for the world’s most aggressive country.

Trump says US won't follow Israel's lead on recognition: 'Does anyone know what Somaliland is?'

On Friday, Netanyahu and Somaliland’s President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi signed a joint declaration, making Israel the first nation to recognize the country.

US President Donald Trump will not immediately follow Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recognition of Somaliland’s independence, the American leader told the New York Post on Saturday, adding that he had to “study” Israel’s pitch.

On Friday, Netanyahu and Somaliland’s President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi signed a joint declaration, making Israel the first UN member state to recognize the country.

While Netanyahu said the declaration was “in the spirit of the Abraham Accords, signed at the initiative of President Trump,” and told Abdillahi that he would “communicate to President Trump your willingness and desire to join the Abraham Accords,” the New York Post reported that Trump expects that his meeting with Netanyahu will prioritize discussions of the Gaza ceasefire.

'Does anyone know what Somaliland is?'

“Does anyone know what Somaliland is, really?” Trump said, after denying that the US had any immediate plans to follow Jerusalem's lead in recognizing Somaliland.

Trump indicated his consideration of Somaliland before, saying in August, “We’re looking into that right now. Good question, actually. And another complex one, as you know. But we’re working on that right now - Somaliland.”

Israel's decision to recognize Somaliland was criticized by a number of nations, among them Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, the Palestinian Mission to the UN, referencing reports that Israel had considered Somaliland for the potential transfer of displaced Gazan citizens, reasserted, “the State of Palestine affirms its total rejection of Israeli plans for the forced deportation of our people.”

In March, Somaliland’s foreign minister told Israel’s public broadcaster Kan, "We are open to discussion on any matter, but we do not want to speculate on matters that have not yet been discussed. All countries that are interested in discussing certain issues with us must first establish working relations with us and open diplomatic missions in Somaliland."

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry added that it "affirms its absolute support for the unity, sovereignty, and political independence of Somalia, ensuring the brotherly Somali people's right to a dignified life, security, and stability, in line with international law, Arab and international consensus resolutions, and the resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. It expresses its rejection and condemnation of Israel's recognition—by the illegitimate occupying power—of the Somaliland region, and its rejection of any steps that support separation or lend legitimacy to it, or that undermine Somalia's sovereignty and unity and destabilize it.

Israel Advances Plans To Displace Gazans, Fight Houthis With Recognition Of Somaliland

Israel on December 26 become the first country to recognize the Republic of Somaliland as an independent state, in what may be the first step in a plan to permanently displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the Horn of Africa and escalate military operations against the Houthis (Ansar Allah) in Yemen.

Somaliland, which claims the northwestern portion of what was once the British Protectorate in northern Somalia, declared independence from the country in 1991, but has failed until the accord with Israel to secure the recognition of any United Nations member state.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel and Somaliland had signed a joint declaration establishing full diplomatic relations, describing it as being “in the spirit of the Abraham Accords”, a set of peace deals brokered by the United States to normalize relations between Israel and Arab states.

Speaking to Somaliland’s President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi by phone, Netanyahu said the friendship between the countries was “seminal and historic.”

“We intend to work together with you on economic fields, on agriculture, in the fields of social development,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu invited Abdullahi for an official visit to Israel. Abdullahi said he will come “as soon as possible,” according to the Israel statement.”

“I want you to know that I am signing now as we speak Israel’s official recognition of the Somaliland,” Netanyahu is seen telling Abdullahi in a video released by his office, adding that the new relationship would offer economic opportunities.

“I am very, very happy and I am very proud of this day and I want to wish you and the people of Somaliland the very, very best,” he added.

Netanyahu noted that the declaration “is in the spirit of the Abraham Accords, signed at the initiative of [U.S.] President [Donald] Trump.”

“The ministers affirmed their total rejection and condemnation of Israel’s recognition of the Somaliland region, stressing their full support for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia,” the statement released.

In addition, Saudi Arabia expressed strong opposition to the declaration, stressing “full support for the sovereignty of the sisterly Federal Republic of Somalia and the unity and territorial integrity of its land,” in a statement released by its foreign ministry.

If Ukraine rejects peace, Russia will achieve its goals militarily – Putin

The Kiev regime is “in no rush” to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means, the Russian president has said

Moscow will achieve all its goals through military means if Kiev does not want peace, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said. The Ukrainian government continues to stall the peace process even when offered “decent” conditions, he told Russia’s top military brass during a visit to a command post on Saturday.

The president made his remarks as the military reported having liberated the strategic town of Gulaypole in Zaporozhye Region and a number of other settlements in its latest successful push. The rate of the Russian advance makes Kiev’s willingness to agree to any territorial concessions irrelevant, Putin said.

“Judging by the pace [of advance] we’re seeing along the contact line, our interest in the withdrawal of the Ukrainian military from the [Russian] territories they still hold has been de facto reduced to zero,” the president stated.

“If the Kiev authorities do not want to resolve the matter peacefully, we will achieve all the goals… of the Special Military Operation through military means.”

According to Putin, Kiev is “in no rush” to resolve the ongoing conflict diplomatically, even as some “sensible people” in the West encourage it to do so and accept “decent” peace conditions and “good framework security guarantees.”

Theremarks come just as Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has demanded more funding and weapons from Western backers, stating that Ukrainian forces lack air defenses and armaments. He also maintained thatUkraine suffers from a “constant deficit of money.”

The Ukrainian leader announced that he will meet with US President Donald Trump to discuss a peace framework. Ahead of the meeting, which is expected to take place on Sunday in Florida, he revealed a 20-point plan he claimed Kiev had discussed with the US.

Moscow dismissed the plan as a non-starter. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Friday it was “radically different” from the proposals discussed by Russia and the US. He also warned that,although Moscow is “fully ready” to resolve the conflict, Kiev and its European backers are seeking to “torpedo” the peace process.
