Phenomenology is the most basic understanding of things I can think of.

I also find empiricism to be very practically useful because you can do lots of neat stuff as a result (like us talking online right now), and it emulates the way in which we interact with the world (acting with one frame of consciousness until something comes along and throws everything out of balance, thereupon one must readjust). I'm also not immediately dismissive of the "reality" we observe around us because it is so immediate and unignorable.

This is either perfect bait, or well-intentioned but misinformed.

Very little information remains of ancient Slavic and Germanic religions - religion was constantly in flux and varied both regionally and over time. We know maybe 1% of what was practised, and there was no one true fixed doctrine.

That said, there is no way to reconcile two diverged branches with one another. You would need to reconstruct the root branch, which would involve guesswork and the resulting religion would have little authority to it and no true adherants.

The best solution imo is to learn from PIE religions how to correctly exist in the world, and follow this. If you want to reconcile PIE religions with one another, the way to do so is not by comparing gods and myths, but by a common view of how we should act and live our lives with respect to nature, our people, and our selves.

I find his assessment regarding the poor character of the people arriving in his commune to be especially relevant if any similar commune were established today.
