I just got my 23andMe results back. I thought I was 25% Eastern European (I knew about one Ukrainian great grandparent and one from either Poland or Ukraine) with the rest being Western European, but apparently I'm a pretty even split between Eastern and Western European. 0% Ashkenazi, not even a trace. Am I white enough for Asatru? Is it reserved only for Northwestern Europeans?

Nu Eurogenes K47 algorithm fuckers

These are my newest Eurogenes K47 ethnic BGA results, i manually arranged them into the three overall clusters which all the other BGA tests put me in aswell and they closely correspond to previous results aswell. Pretty accurate overall heh, i get 97% european combining all the clusters which is exactly the amount which FTDNA et al gave me aswell. The rest is basically just untraceable noise and shit

They used 47 phenotypical reference clusters from across the world to compare my DNA sample against, and as you can very clearly see from the end result i am saxo-danube germanic with just a dash of paleo-med as a result of ancient proto-PIE migrations from the atlanto-med area. Also the residues from the caucasus are very likely a result of ancient aryan migrations aswell heh

Attached are also my allelic traits according to YourDNAportal which hosts the K47 analysis. The whole thing still feels like it needs to be fleshed out more, a lot of times you get the "SNP Missing" message aswell. For some reason their SNP sample database is extremely limited still and very tiny compared to the Promethease one.

The prediction is also off in my case since i have brown hair and dark blue eyes heh

Germanic 8yo swedish girl pulls 1,500yo sword from Swedish lake

>.rt.com/news/440397-sword-lake-sweden-ironage/

An eight-year-old girl made an amazing discovery when she unearthed an ancient sword thought to be from the Iron Age from the bottom of a lake in Sweden.

Saga Vanecek was skimming rocks at Vidöstern lake in Tånnö, Småland this summer when she made the “spectacular” discovery.

“I was outside in the water, throwing sticks and stones and stuff to see how far they skip, and then I found some kind of stick,”Vanecek told The Local.“I picked it up and was going to drop it back in the water, but it had a handle, and I saw that it was a little bit pointy at the end and all rusty. I held it up in the air and I said ‘Daddy, I found a sword!’ When he saw that it bent and was rusty, he came running up and took it.”

Estimated to be from the 5th or 6th century AD, the pre-Viking Age sword was sitting in half a meter of water when Vanecek spotted it.

“We were both in awe,” Saga’s father Andy told RT.

“Saga had butterflies in her stomach then, and it feels almost surreal now,” he said, adding that his daughter is delighted to be able to say that she found the amazing artefact.

The next day, archaeologist Annie Rosén from the Jönköping County Museum arrived to investigate. She took photographs and placed the sword in water so that it wouldn’t decompose after being exposed to air for the first time in more than 1,000 years.

>>tfw your European ancestors killed and denounced the office of their own Kings

It takes the whole "we wuz" to a new realm, at least the many non-white Kingdoms around the world or ancient Kingdoms lost their Kings/Emperors after losing in a military conflict. But only under Christianity was such a great usurping allowed where Christ became understood as the King of all and everyone and the office of Earthly Kings in time lost their weight. Primarily because a priest in the Pope asserted power over a King which should be heavily denounced, Barbarosa knew what was at stake and heavily fought any inroads to it but only a moment of weakness was needed for Liberal Democracy to take root.

There must always be King and Kin, no other classifications need exist.

I was watching a documentary the other day on youtube where it was basically all of Clovis's fault. His whole army of Germanic warriors, fighting with Thor in their hearts to win the battle, so then Clovis says, "oh, we won, it was totally the power of Jesus," and so Clovis was a fuckhead after that and that's how Europe became Christian.

From what I've come to understand its a bit more complicated but you'll only get hints from the monks on what's truly going on. Clovis primarily wanted the land of the Arian Kingdoms around him but pagans attacking Christians in that sort of way would have caused to many alliances against him so he chose Trinitarianism and then sought to take those lands for religious reasons with Roman support.

Now how truly Arian were those surrounding kingdoms and how immediately Christian was he? Who knows, everyone had a dog in the fight at that time. The Franks whose history is the only surviving one, wouldn't say those Gothic kingdoms were pagan in any way because that'd mean other non-Catholic Christians would attack trying to escape the Franks from attacking them by being allied against paganism. As well overnight the Franks became completely Christian preventing any team up against themselves for attacking. Perhaps Clovis was such a super Christian convert that when his first son was baptized and died and then the second son got very sick and all done by his wife as well who baptized them without his permission meant nothing to him. His Roman naysayers of course just said it was because he had to much of the devil in his line.

For Language and Religion who knows what the common Frank had in those days but as Charles Martel made certain the Germanic belief that the King is above the Priest remained. Such as when the Pope calls for his aid against the Lombards and he ignores it because he wants a Pope that he can control which the Franks under Charlemagne finally get for a time in Pope Leo III. This is continued by any King who has enough power over Rome such as in Barbarossa, this whole warfare culminates into Protestantism where the Germanic Lords see that they don't need to be beholden to the whims of priests anymore. The only problem is that where this would have worked perfectly as it did with their ancient pagan ancestors it wouldn't under Christianity because Jesus can just be their King. This brings about a whole kind of Democracy/Republicanism in "Why should I listen to the King? Jesus is the one who judges after all, the Earthly King is just a mortal pompous Caesar", its now even takePost too long. Click here to view the full text.

I'm trying to understand the family structure of Odin's family. So what is it?

The simplest reading would have it seem that Odin had a son by Jorth named Thor, and a son by Frigg named Balder, and a and a son by Gritr named Vitarr and a son by Rindr named Vali.

Using the Skaldskaparmal that list becomes enlarged, though there has been many criticisms that it was a late addition by Christian priests to position Odin as god of all other gods and thus, "there be one god, goy, and we know the most about him, goy".

The list of the supposed "Odin's sons":

Baldr and Meili

Víðarr and Nepr

Váli, Áli

Thor and Hildólfr

Hermóðr, Sigi

Skjöldr, Yngvi-Freyr and Ítreksjóð

Heimdallr, Sæmingr

Höðr and Bragi

One that stands out immediately to me as a corruption and a mistake is Yngvi-Freyr since Frey is a Van and could no way be born from an Aesir only through the race of Vanir.

Placing a name under each supposed mother:

Frigg: Baldr, Hermóðr (takes up Frigg's request to ride to Helheim first called brother of Balder), Höðr (understood as twin brother of Balder and killer), Bragi (condoned by Frigga for only using words against an enemy in a mother's scolding way)

Jorth: Meili (only Thor calls him his brother), Thor

Gritr: Víðarr

Rindr: Váli

<Mother Unknown>: Nepr (father of Nanna, Nanna was the wife of Balder, making Balder and Nanna's son Forseti an incest Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

To expound the norse equivalent to Irmin is Jormund which would suggest Jormundgandr has the prefix of Odin's name so what does the world serpent's name really mean "Odin's serpent" or something else. The answer is not known.

From my own research into Irmon using the "Chronika der Sachsen und Niedersachsen" of 1588 just by using the picture I'd have to say Bragi, primarily because of the rooster but following the writing it could or might not. I know such a resource wouldn't be to credible on specifics or understanding as it'll go into Babel and Israel as well Tyr just being the first king of Germans. But the folk knowledge written between the lines would still be greater than now.

"und bedeut das offe krieg und fireit von einer Blumen das ist schnoden und geringen dingen"

"and meaning open warfare and into fight with a flower that is despicable and a low thing"

Its strange to associate Bragi with fighting but he is one of Odin's sons, and flowers but his wife Idun is associated with the apple blossom.

If you want to use the same page to describe Odin, you could as well with the bear on his chest (Bärenmänner of the Einherjahr) as well the book mentions many idols but doesn't use any Wotan/Odin name which could mean at least by the author's understanding this would be him.

This link should send you to page 21 of it, the scan is really terrible in some places such as on page 15.

https://books.google.com/books?id=JfFSAAAAcAAJ&pg=PA21&dq=Chronica+der+Sachsen+und+Niedersachsen#v=onepage&q&f=false

Also as Germanic idols are strewn throughout such as on page 45 is about the temple complex at Lüneburg and the "Man in the Moon" carried by Nótt which is either her son or her father, the author doesn't care enough to say.

I don't know the reason for the scales at all. In the 1500s Tyr is never depicted with armor, when the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V has Peter Flotner create a depiction of Tuisco, neither of them know Snorri's work exists, or even the name "Tyr", and so the depiction is from the viewpoint of an ancient King and so his garb is the most simple. Strangely enough I don't know how Flotner decided to give Tyr one hand as at best he'd have only the Old English rune poem, which doesn't say Tyr has one hand, to derive from and of course the newly rediscovered Germania by Tacitus. He wouldn't have had the Icelandic or Norwegian rune poems as far as I know. Also most important Flotner would have to have a good basis with his Emperor to depict the supposed "father of all Germans and first king of Germans" having only one hand because the English continued representing Tyr with two hands way after this.

First picture is Flotner's depiction.

Second is a latter English depiction from Nederlantsche Antiquiteyten.

The Ancient Germanic Pagan Roots of the Pennsylvania Dutch

>The Pennsylvania Dutch are quite unique in this country, in that they have tenaciously clung to a great many of the peasant traditions which their ancestors had brought with them from the Old Country.

This adherence of the Pennsylvania Dutch, for more than two centuries, to the native peasant customs of their German forefathers can only be explained by the fact that they did not lose their original group consciousness after they had settled in America. Instead of being readily absorbed by the new environment, as were the countless individual settlers from other German, and non-German, peasant communities of Europe, the Pennsylvania Dutch possessed in the peasant traditions of their old homeland a cultural force that was sufficiently strong to shape their new environment into a peasant community of distinctive character. In achieving this, they were substantially aided by a very happy coincidence: the amazing similarity between their old homeland and Pennsylvania. This similarity not only extends to the physiognomy of the landscape but also to climate and soil conditions. There is hardly a region in the Keystone State, which has not an almost exact counterpart somewhere in southwestern Germany. Such exceptionally good fortune allowed them to continue in their new home, with a minimum of adjustments, where they had left off in the Old Country. Nothing, in the new environment, was so essentially different as to estrange them from their native peasant views and practices.

The barn symbols here discussed occur in America exclusively with the Pennsylvania Dutch peasantry. Hence one may expect some light on their origin and significance from analogous occurrences in German peasant art which, like the peasant art of any part of Europe, is a depository of prehistoric and pagan values otherwise long obliterated.

There is ample evidence that these various symbols that occur in European peasant art, inclusive of the Pennsylvania Dutch area, have their origin in a Cult of the Sun that during the Bronze Age was practiced ‘in Ireland onPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Wolves may have first become Germanic Man's Best Friend in Europe

Scientists have used some new tricks and old dogs to show that thousands of years ago, wolves may have first become man's best friend in Europe.

Researchers extracted DNA from ancient wolf or dog fossils and compared it with DNA from modern dog breeds and wolves. Until recently, labs didn't have the kind of genetic tools they'd need to work with such old dog DNA and do this kind of detailed comparison.

One surprise is that most domestic dogs are more closely related to ancient wolves than modern wolves. "It's these ancient wolf populations, now extinct, probably residing in Europe, that are the direct ancestors of domestic dogs," says Robert Wayne, a biologist at the University of California, Los Angeles.

His team's new analysis, in the journal Science, suggests that European wolves became dogs somewhere around 18,800 to 32,100 years ago, before the start of agriculture.

Wayne says that wolves probably started growing closer and closer to the hunter-gatherers who roamed Europe back then. Perhaps the wolves fed on leftover carcasses, and the hunters found them useful in some way — maybe the wolves were good at finding prey, or could alert hunters to danger.

At least start with lifting 5 gallon water bottles in each hand, you actually get something rather than just weight and if you drink 2 gallons of water a day than every 5 days you'll be getting more water forcing you to act. Then build a wooden gate or something, this is not a time of peace but the makings of war, act like it. If you read Tacitus finely you'll see we do have weaknesses that can be exploited.

It is important to know and accept the reality of our weaknesses.

"Habits in Time of Peace: Whenever they are not fighting, they pass much of their time in the chase, and still more in idleness, giving themselves up to sleep and to feasting, the bravest and the most warlike doing nothing, and surrendering the management of the household, of the home, and of the land, to the women, the old men, and all the weakest members of the family. They themselves lie buried in sloth, a strange combination in their nature that the same men should be so fond of idleness, so averse to peace."

And how we came to solve our problems.

"If their native state sinks into the sloth of prolonged peace and repose, many of its noble youths voluntarily seek those tribes which are waging some war, both because inaction is odious to their race, and because they win renown more readily in the midst of peril, and cannot maintain a numerous following except by violence and war."

Much has changed since then but we are still the same folk with the same advantages and disadvantages, know of them.

What you are gazing at, is as real as the frustrations in their words. They are forced to come here and why they must ban anyone but themselves in their own place and it is the same now as in their past, its fear. That is why all our relics had to be destroyed by their masters but the Aesir saw to it that enough has survived, no matter what they did.

Our battle is older than even jews and their Christian/Muslim pawns, once even the jews are gone it shall continue in new forms, this is only how the conflict comes to us in our time. The children of the Trickster know once the einherjar cannot be increased the draugr of Hel will swell to the point of overtaking all the Worlds and will free their father. Make no mistake, the prevention of the continuation of our people is what they are all after because you aren't meaningful to the Aesir if you don't have the gifts that were given. Now much will change on the map to our peoples detriment in the coming age but we shall have a living space again or this truly is the final strife. No matter fate, prepare for a fight as all our ancestors had before.

Your point?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaut

The word God usurped Deus in all Germanic languages because of the Lombards victory. Godan was praised by the Vandals, the Saxons called him Godut and in the poem Deor there is a hint of this possible Aesir in an ancient story of Geat who will not be able save Matilda from falling off of the Rainbow Bridge and drowning near the final struggle.

This poem about the queen of Alfheim hints about the other afterlives and their reputation though.

Jewdeo-Kikeshitstainity action: Report Finds 100 Priests in One City Ran Horrific Pedophile Ring, As Gov’t Looked the Other Way

Pittsburgh, PA – As a scathing grand jury report reveals that hundreds of Catholic priests in the state of Pennsylvania sexually abused young children, a portion focuses specifically on Pittsburgh where nearly 100 priests are accused of running a pedophile ring where they helped each other prey on helpless children with no oversight.

The report claims that at least 99 priests in the Pittsburgh Diocese were involved in the pedophile ring—nine of whom were not named—and they received help from local officials who refused to explore investigations into the abuse because it was considered “bad publicity” for (((the Catholic Church))).

Germanics principally used wood, but wood and stone degrade though, like when someone decrees the complete destruction of such constructions. Gold however, when untouched, doesn't degrade such as the pagan coin which was found buried on an island in Denmark to be found in 1985 whereas the Byzantine Christian coin was found centuries earlier and has been in a collection since then. Arguably both coins are of the 5th century, one wasn't even hammered whole into a circle or mold whereas the pagan coin even features a striped rim against clippers.

thats not really a coin tho but a bracteate. Romans sometimes bribed Germanics to keep them from raiding their lands, or to attack other Germanic tribes, which the Germans accepted but rarely because they knew the value of such coins (the Rhinish tribes did, but the more feral ones not so much)

Most of the tribes believed that the gold coins bribed to them by the Romans were some kind of ritual amulet with protective powers. They assumed this is why the Romans put figures of Gods and Emperors on their coins. However they would usually try to scrape these Roman images off and replace them with their own. A very rare and remarkable look at Germanic artwork from a pre-christian era. We also know that the favorite image to be engraved upon these pseudo-coins was this tribalistic icon of Wotan's head fused with a horse, and staring into the eyes of an eagle. Swastikas and Runes are also common features, usually translating into some kind of chant or magical phrase. there are a rare few that seem to depict mythical scenes, such as one where a figure appears to be dancing and flanked by two other figures holding staves, and one where a figure is having a hand bitten by a wolf. they are hard to interpret to any strong degree however, for example, the translation of the one in >>18151 reads HOUAZ LATHU AADULUAAALLIA ALU, which when directly translates means "The High One (Odin), pours out (aaduaaallia is probably some kind of chant, as the usage of two runes next to each other is rare, and probably meant to enhance the chants power) the sacred ale (Alu is a word sometimes translated as ale, but which clearly refers to something more metaphysical in the context that its used)

they were common among huns, scythians, mongols and celts as well, although Germany seems to reveal the majority of them

What does /asatru/ think of the Caucasian paganism revivals? Especially in the Chechens, Abkhazians and Circassians? While its a shame the Soviets split up the Circassians to where now more than half of them are in Turkey to probably miscegenate with the cockroaches, what's left of all of them has survived Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Islam to some extent racially and in the Nart sagas.

Their pantheon while much more degraded than that of Northern Europe has some interesting cognates:

Woyriya: Odin - has many hounds, eagles circle him, with spear on horseback. In one of the tales it is said, "Tales about him abound, and such a lord just cannot be vanquished!"

Tha: Donar - while no depiction of him still exists Muslims and Christians within those regions have started praising him since the 90s representing him by a T they call the "hammer cross". Many have faced beatings or death by Muslims where Imams declare its adherents idolaters. There was even a prolific killing of one of its priests Aslan Tsipinov in 2011.

>>"Tsipinov was shot because he headed a group of pagans and idolators who worked to revive ancient pagan festivals, and because he openly and overtly opposed Islam and Muslims. … The term mushrik derives from the Arabic shirk, the sin of idolatry or polytheism: the one sin that in Islam is considered unforgivable."

>>"All such persons risk death at the hands of insurgents unless they repent."

Tlepsh: Frey? - has a sword which fights for itself and a loyal servant who acts in bringing his belongs to others, akin to Skirnir. In this story this Frey character isn't trying to woe Gertr but instead wanting to slay Yamina.

The picture is of Kabardians who up until Communism came every year whether they be Christian or Muslim would put on masks for a sacred hunt, very akin to the Wode Hunt in Germany which survived until the end of the Great Patriotic War.

The situation there speaks to the complexity of our struggle and the difficulty in finding working solutions. It wasn't just the Soviets who moved the Circassians around but about 50 years before OPs picture was taken the Russian Empire did an actual genocide upon the region and three centuries before that the Muslims did a similar thing. The Caucasians converting back and forth there really shows the meaninglessness of the beliefs themselves and does show how damaging upon the race such a cycle creates but what could they do? Fighting to the last man would have just made them a historical footnote with no living traditions, its a difficult decision I've read Viking Kings having to make.

>>Chechans

Chechens are all fucked up in the head, as a people they have been fighting for Muhammad, think Arab people, to get at more Whites for centuries and act like racism is wrong because of Islam but internally many are like pic related. Again another important aspect to this whole problem, they're like Antifa, majority white in its lower members and would happen to have white children but somehow their philosophy is counter to this and the more weaker members sadly go off and actually follow the philosophy whole heartedly as well as most of the real leadership itself isn't even White.

>>Tha

Islamic guerrillas have made sure a lot of the initial steam in the movement was lost and took to attacking it with fervor since it'd be a polytheistic religion. As of 2018 Adyghe Habze has turned into monotheism instead, Tha being said to be the "creator" and publicly at least they don't speak about worship anymore only code of conduct, code of honour, and traditions of the Circassian people.

At any rate many of these peoples remain racist to a useful extent. This may be in their dedicated marriage codes:

The ritual of the kidnapping of the bride, continued even nowadays. Within their ancient polytheistic past it may not have been seen as the only way for marriage but if the groom accomplished it without harm to anyone it was lauded by all and could even end violent conflict between clanPost too long. I was once looking up Georgia when I read that they make some of their own military vehicles, like very high-tech looking armored vehicles, something you would never expect out of this tiny land surrounded by sheep herders. These people must've been holding the frontline of Europe's land route for centuries. Georgian mythology includes a world tree and ogres but it's thought to have been influenced by other mythologies over time.
