Banco Master do Brasil entra em colapso: CEO detido, Regulador fecha credor

Sua legitimidade não vinha do cargo, mas do domínio da interpretação e do ensino. Crucialmente, essa autoridade era portátil. Não dependia de um Templo, de um Estado ou do monopólio da força.

Essa distinção se projeta de forma clara nos sistemas jurídicos modernos. O modo saduceu se assemelha ao direito estatutário, à autoridade administrativa e à força do Estado — a lei como texto escrito respaldado por instituições. O modo farisaico se assemelha ao raciocínio do common law, à jurisprudência, aos precedentes e à doutrina jurídica — a lei como interpretação que evolui por meio do debate e da aplicação. Todo sistema jurídico funcional precisa equilibrar esses dois imperativos: estabilidade e adaptabilidade, autoridade e interpretação. O conflito antigo não foi resolvido; ele se tornou estrutural.

Historicamente, o modo farisaico mostrou-se mais durável. Quando o Templo foi destruído no ano 70 d.C. e o Estado judeu colapsou, o poder saduceu desapareceu junto com ele. A resposta institucional a essa ameaça é um padrão conhecido. Uma vez que a autoridade é contestada em sua raiz, os sistemas reagem tentando fixar a interpretação, controlar a memória histórica e deslegitimar leituras alternativas como heresia, desordem ou perigo. O controle da narrativa é o sistema imunológico das instituições. A história não é obscurecida por acidente; ela é estabilizada deliberadamente.

A ironia é que o cristianismo, uma vez institucionalizado, rapidamente reconstruiu ambos os modos que havia desestabilizado. Iran Hits Back At EU: Designates European Armies As 'Terrorist Entities'

Iran is saying two can play at the West's game: on Friday the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council blasted the EU's decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a "terrorist organization," warning that Europe's own militaries would now be viewed through the same lens.

"The European Union certainly knows that… the armies of countries that have participated in the European Union's recent resolution against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are considered terrorist entities," Ali Larijani wrote in a post on X. He added bluntly: "Therefore, the consequences of that shall be borne by the European countries that undertook such an action."

However, there's probably nothing in the way of European military assets for the Islamic Republic to sanction, so this 'action' by Tehran will remain largely symbolic. Iran does have assets held in various places of Europe though.

EU foreign ministers agreed on Thursday to formally classify the IRGC as a "terrorist organization" and urged member states to implement the designation without delay - after a few longtime holdouts flipped.

Among those recently changing their stance include France, Spain, and Italy - but apparently the recent deadly protests, and Trump's pressure, had an impact.

One bit of irony is that the West has over the past year removed its designation of Syria's Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), after Jolani took over Damascus. HTS is literally the founding al-Qaeda group in Syria.

The IRGC stands accused by the West of directing Iran's crackdown of domestic unrest, after economic-driven protests took over town and city streets this month.

Thousands died, but Iran officials have pointed to armed saboteurs being mixed in among the peaceful demonstrators, leading to mayhem and a high death toll.

The extraordinary amount of money MPs earn from second jobs and gifts can today be laid bare by the Daily Mail's eye-opening new search tool.

According to Parliament's latest Register of Members' Financial Interests, MPs have declared almost £5.5million from employment stretching back to 2022.

That sum is on top of their starting salaries of £93,904.

Ex-prime minister Rishi Sunak topped the earnings table at £1.29m, ahead of Nigel Farage – a regular GB News presenter and maker of personalised Cameo video messages – who pocketed £973,000.

It means the pair accounted for 41 per cent of the total tranche from second jobs.

MPs also declared £2.8m in freebies in the latest register. Among the gifts doled out tickets to watch Premier League football, Lady Gaga and Ed Sheeran.

Members also enjoyed £1.29m worth of accomodation, expenses and travel abroad, registered as 'visits outside the UK'.

Examples include Mr Farage's £5,000 seat at the Helping a Hero Gala Dinner in Texas and Sir John Whittingdale's £1,200 admission to Qatar Goodwood Festival 2025 and the accompanying Regency Ball.

Under the House of Commons' own rules, MPs must flag any payments received within 28 days of receipt.

Like second jobs, accepting gifts as a Westminster peer has long been a controversial topic.

Labour's first months in power were dominated by the 'freebies' row, when Sir Keir – nicknamed 'free gear Keir' – and other top ministers faced intense scrutiny over gifts they received.
