Fats are a requirement and should not be avoided. Saturated fat is required in a certain quantity, Polyunsaturated and monounsaturated are supposed to be balanced to a certain quantity. Trans fats are poisons advertised as food. Think cigarettes in the 1950’s “nine out of ten doctors recommend” stuff like original crisco and partially hydrogenated vegetable shortening added to the human diet to cut costs. We replaced them with fully-hydrogenated vegetable shortening which is supposed to be safer but considering all things is likely just less poisonous. There is conflicting evidence that saturated fat is bad at all. Some evidence to the contrary suggests you should only eat saturated fat for the most part.

Regardless an ideal diet is high in fats with zero trans fats. Deep frier grease is fully-hydrogenated usually and I believe heating it up turns it into trans fats.

Check out the activities and places in your new location. Try to look up groups, events or volunteer work to grow your social circle. Also as other /fit/izen pointed try new hobbies. I tried some that were easy to get into like learning a language, drawing, videogames and reading.

And, if fitness is interesting for you try to read more about it. I dug into nutrition/metabolism a little bit and it was a complex and fascinating subject, part of it has to do with endocrinology, neurotransmitters, and molecular biology, the deeper you go the more you find to keep yourself busy.

How much of Elite strength is due to Steroids or genetics. Like say if steroids were not invented do you think it would still be the same guys at Worlds Strongest Man or the same guys in powerlifting? Part of me thinks its a bit of both, make no mistake everyone on that level is roiding but I reckon that the amount each person does depends on their genetic baseline, those that are not as genetically gifted roid more. Another factor we might consider is the physical repsonse someone has for roids. If we compared two natties 1. one with a better genetic limit than the other but 2. has a better repsonse to steroids. Put them on the same stuff the one with the better steroid response would be stronger than 1. even though 1. was a better natty, theoretically. Also in general it seems like roids really benefit taller lankier people. Guys like Brian Shaw and Halfthor were skinny dyel ectomorph basketball players I doubt they would have put on very much muscle without roids. What do you guys think maybe I'm just too autistic thinking about this.
